Our room was huge, it had been kept in it's original state, Mahogany furniture, Chesterfield chairs, a free standing world globe that had a mini bar inside (unfortunatley empty) King size bed and a great view of the harbour. The bathroom had been modernized with a great free standing bath. It was spotless and again huge. Rachael our host was lovely, she made sure we had more coffee and sugar in the room.

There were a couple of minor things that need addressing. A couple of lights that didn't work and our friends TV wouldn't work. We told Rachel and she was going to sort them out as soon as possible. Considering how long they have owned the Ivy I think they are doing really well!

Good location, friendly staff. Food was good too. Room was a good size with storage space, table and chairs and vanity dresser. Bathroom was a good size also. Excellent view of the boats at the front. Had two single beds, which as a couple would have preferred one double bed.

Parking is the only issue, only one small car park close by but hard to get spaces. Had to park a distance away and walk. Not a reflection on the hotel but affected our stay and was an inconvenience. Not sure how the hotel could change this however so more a general comment. Bathroom was clean, but had an odd smell.

Great location, right in the centre of the town. Clean room, comfortable bed. Lovely bedding and towels. Lovely restaurant. Nice meal. Great that we could have our well behaved small dog to stay with us.

There was nothing we did not like! Parking was a bit of a pain- walking with bags from nearby car park. Also car park was full so we had to park in an unmarked bay (other parking was too far away) and we were fined!! Maybe a few more dog friendly touches.... treats/ more water bowls/doggy menu??? We brought absolutely everything with us so it was fine. Not a criticism.

The location could not be any better, the facilities, the hotel staff and cleanliness are excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Scarborough. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, could not fault the breakfast, it also had other options on the menu. We viewed the suite and we are going to stay in this next time we come as it looked amazing.

We stayed in room 3 for 5 nights ,fantastic view of the harbour. Great location there is free parking on marine drive until march. Also from 6 till 9 in the morning it's okay to leave your car on the street. At 10.30 we had a great English breakfast every day, with our chihuahua Jonesey , served by Libby and the other lovely staff.

Lovely room with a perfect view over the harbour. The room was immaculate, the room was an amazing size for how much we paid.

The window in our bedroom didn’t stay open, we weren’t sure if this was on purpose as we were on the top floor (room 1), which wasn’t ideal during a heatwave, but it was manageable and we still had a lovely stay!

Only 2 cups/ tea facilities provided even though was booked for 3, my daughter had to wait till one of us had finished if she wanted a hot drink, breakfast is included, but it is not in the welcome pack you get in the room which is confusing, you do not get a choice, it needs to be clearly stated

This was a spur of the moment booking as we no longer have our fur baby so decided to have a night away - oh my didn't regret this its an absolutely amazing boutique hotel our room was amazing! Obviously we paid more for new years eve but was still worth the money! Wanted to stay longer!

Ideal spot for all amenities, staff were fab really friendly, place was immaculate, had the breakfast which was very nice, atmosphere chilled and played some good music too.

Clean, tidy well thought out and staff very informative regarding keys, late night accessibility,.

Room was very clean, tidy and extremely spacious. Had a perfect view looking out across the harbour and was particularly nice at night. The room also had a small table and chairs so you could sit at to eat any food you take back to the room, something a lot of places don’t have so you end up eating on the bed.
