Bed - very comfortable, king size for 2 people, amazing Bathroom - very luxurious and nice hot water Staff - great, friendly & approachable particularly the very friendly lady who checked us in. She also arranged a fan for us for the stay as the weather got very hot during our stay. The room attendance was great and they topped up our coffee everyday so that was ace. Parking - easy and right outside so the car can be seen Convenience - very nice location to drive to beautiful places nearby such as Matlock, Bakewell & Sherwood
Noisy neighbours can't be helped and we experienced it just the first night, but hotel staff dealt with it to the best of their abilities. I'd recommend if reception could keep earplugs in the future for guests & if they could consider installing slow close hinges on room doors as they do slam loudly sometimes.

Brilliant room and exceptional value for money. The sink and towel were dirty with some kind of orange substance; hope it wasn’t vomit. Under the bed there was muck and crisps. Other than that it was amazing for the price. We got a discounted breakfast at McDonald’s and good quality tea and coffee. You could never beat that price. Lovely hot shower and the other towels were nice and clean. The only negative was the rude woman on reception; she was extremely obnoxious. We asked her which part of the paper work needed to be filled in, she sighed and was very short and rude with her reply. She made it clear we would have to wait while she did something when we asked her to validate our room key. Every time one of the two keys was validated to open our room, the other one was cancelled out. When we returned to reception the woman was short and said it was because we shouldn’t be putting them beside our mobile phones - as if we should have known that?! That wasn’t the issue. The other woman there was very nice however. The stay was taken from a 10 to an 8 because of the rude woman and the dirty sink and towel.
The receptionist’s terrible customer service and obnoxious attitude.

The friendly helpful staff. The cleanliness. In room facilities. Attention to detail and those small little extras like the fan, the bathroom toiletries including the little box of tissues and bags. The easy to access shower.
We could not fault this hotel. The only thing is that no hotels like this ever include a magnifying mirror in their bathrooms. Just a small one from the wall be sufficient to help people especially ladies doing make up and gentlemen shaving who usually wear glasses. When we do these things we can't wear our glasses and the big mirrors are too far away to see in clearly.

There was a drill in night that made Pepe sad as drill went off too much and frightened Pepe and family and bean got the blame cause bean snores Keef couldn’t get foot off of end of bed which upset him greatly secondly there was no toilet brush for Keef who was greatly disappointed by this as his evidence couldn’t be cleared Claire had an eventful sleep as the severe lack of pillows left her uncomfortable and she had to go faraging for towels to sleep on she did comment on the telly being of good quality and Pepe awoke to James Martin’s Sunday kitchen but sadly the ladies outside had a blatant disregard to Pepe and family sleep as they were causing a ruckus the lady at reception was very nice and gave us a warm welcome and we signed in our car but the photo was very dark so hard to see car parked in car park Pepe had nice sleep but nearly fell off of bed too much as it was too narrow and Pepe likes sleep the McDonald’s breakfast in the morning was very nice and the hotel being very close made Pepe happy and Claire had porridge and a muffin but they forgot the jam so she had to go back up to get some Pepe appreciated beans way of eating his breakfast which was the first time Pepe had ever appreciated his younger sibling and bean was happy until a couple seconds later where he lost this appreciation due to an obscene act Pepe and family would stay here again very nice sleep and nice bed.

The rooms had just been refurbished and you could still smell the newness. Beds were so comfy and the temperature controls were easy to use. The aircon unit was very quiet too and we had a great night's sleep. There was a large shower cubicle and I particularly liked the full-length mirror. We also had inter-connecting rooms even though we hadn't asked for them so that was another bonus. To top it off the lady who booked us in was friendly and very efficient. Would definitely come back.
Can't fault it at all. Our stay was as good as and probably even better than other budget hotels whilst also a lot cheaper.

I loved how clean and comfy the bed, the room and the hotel is. The decor and the renovation was beautiful, the staff were lovely, polite and professional too. The location is ideal, too, especially with that private road to access the main road instead of going on the motorway. The security is fantastic too, the hotel keys worked straight away, no issues.
The walls weren't soundproof. I could hear next door and the other people all night, the doors shutting and toilet going. I did request a bath, but you didn't have one available. And the shower head is tiny in the shower.

Was presently suprised how nice the rooms are considering the cheap price of £45 a night (week day) Really comfortable beds clean bedding decent size tv, tea coffee and kettle hand wash and shower gel in shower. Hair dryer and hanging space for clothing etc bran new Air con and heating system. Rooms are nicely set out and have recently refurbished. We stayed here with our little boy and Katie on reception was really friendly and couldn't help us enough during our visit she's a true credit to the place thankyou xx

Our rooms were clean and comfortable with a good supply of tea/coffee etc. The beds were very comfortable. Considering the inn was based at a service station, we were not disturbed by noise. The staff at the inn were welcoming, in particular Zoe and Katie.
We had vouchers for breakfast, but there was very little choice if you wanted to eat there later. The only place open in the roadchef was McDonalds. Due to the situation of the inn, it meant a drive out to find somewhere to eat in the evening. However there was a short walk from there to the village of Tibshelf, where we found an excellent Indian restaurant.

Family room with king and 2 singles was excellent value. Plenty space in the room for 4 adults. 2 singles are off the main room through an alcove. Handy to have both types of usb sockets by bed and by desk/dressing table (especially as I’d forgotten my main plug)
Would have been good to have a sit down restaurant at the site. For food there was a MacDonalds still open but other options within service station were closed by 9pm. (There are drinks available to buy in a fridge by reception)

I honestly didn't have high expectations for a motorway hotel, but needed somewhere to stop on a late night drive. The staff were really friendly and the room was actually very nice. Far better than other hotels at similar, perhaps even higher, price points. Overall, very modern and well equipped room at a really good price.
If I had to nit pick, it took a while for hot water to come through the shower, but that that's me really struggling to find something to complain about!
