I had an incredible stay at this hotel, everything exceeded my expectations. The service was truly outstanding. I had a special request during my stay, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me with genuine care and professionalism. After checking out, I realized I had forgotten something, and they were extremely helpful so that a courier I ordered could pick it up, completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, central and convenient, and although slightly outdated, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed at many places, but the level of service here genuinely stood out. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Always friendly staff, clean and (mostly) comfortable rooms with a relatively good location.

The bed in 201 is in a bad shape, it sqeeks and cracks to the slightest movement and there are deep dents in the matress. Just too used to be comfortable. Also for some reasons all the bathtubs and showers were in a bad shape at every single room overt the past years that I have stayed here, in contrast with the rooms and the rest of the bathrooms that are always clean and in a good shape.

Just an excellent accommodation, very friendly staff they all are so smiley and happy to help you. Glorious location very near to all the attractions & you can find lovely restaurants and cosy bar nearby. Furthermore, The room was huge old fashioned but classic one style, looks very traditional hotel and I do love that lots,the room is very well equipped witg everything you need,very big new tv,mini fridge,comfy superior bed,big window,very big bathroom with always hot water for shower.Moreover,breakfast is quite simple but defo tasty. They do have 24 hours reception. It's a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff & accommodation. I was in Budapest to a 4 star hotel for my holidays & was really lower the accommodation so don't look only about fancy & fab hotels but also for the traditional ones. I give the hotel 10 based on the price for a capital city hotel away from the noise. Do not expext 5*You will not be paying 5* price! All 3 Reception staff I met were exceptional and I enjoyed meeting them. My request was for a top floor room, but it had skylight windows and was instantly given another. it was spacious bright and spotless and amazingly silent. Fabulous super quality bedding! A joy to feel as you drop off! Hotel is not a corporate hotel and very individual & family owned. Art ( traditional) lovers are in for a treat. There is an amazing original Art Gallery ( see photo) overlooking the breakfast area. All corridors and walls have a fabulous collection of original art. Breakfast has an selection of Hungarian hot food, cheese, ham, cereals, honey and fantastic natural yoghurt...unless you are Italian(!) and need a 100% sweet breakfast. Location and transport links are excellent. Trams, trolly buses a few yards away.( Metro further) and all free if over 65.

Whenever I am in Budapest I try to stay at this hotel because there is no better in this category for what is price-quality and location. I generally book one of the bigger rooms which are gorgeous if you like this interior style of the "good old times". Cleanliness is always without flaw, everything is convenient, confortable and quiet. But best of all is the staff who always goes the extra mile to meet your needs. This place is like coming back home.

Not this time, but once I booked a smaller room on the upper floor which I would't book again.

Good and clean basic accommodation for reasonable cost. Good location, easy access with tram to city centre although still walkable. Good comfortable size room (double bed and two single beds).

Not much for basic accommodation, perhaps could do with some work inside.

Comfortable bed, clean white bed linen, interesting style hotel, quite and peacefull place in the city center.

It is better to notify about your arrival time if you arrive late, since there is only one person at the reception, and in my case I had to wait for someone to check-in.

The location of the hotel is excellent, near many bars and restaurants and a quick walk from main attractions. The triple room is fairly spacious, beds are comfortable. The staff were kind and responsive.

The only issue comes with the tub, we filled it and had a bath but once we wanted to empty it, the water came back from the floor drain, eventually causing a mess in the bathroom. I hope they fix it, otherwise it was a good value for money!

The room looked comfy and spacious, but it felt like a soviet hotel (the ceiling are really high). The bad was comfortable, and the staff was nice. Besides, I loved the paintings in the corridors, some of them even were for sale.

The price was pretty high as for a location and breakfast. There were cheaper hotels, which looked more modern. The breakfast was quite expensive compared to McDonald's. Coffee was bad, and the amount of vegetables and fruits was not very varied. I wanted to take some pastry for a trip, but they only had bread and wet waffles. + I hurt my foot at the bathroom because the shower tray had a sharp edge and there was little room between the tray and the toilet. ++ There was a tv, but no tv remote.

The staff was always exceptionally nice and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Much better in its price range than the predatory short term rental offerings that I rented in the neighborhood.

Just minor inconveniences, like the bath tub shower being awkward and uncomfortable to use with a very narrow place to stand, or that for a few days there was cigarette smoke on my floor, despite the complete ban of smoking in the hotel.
