Location was perfect for where I was going, and within easy walking distance from New Street and the town centre proper. All I needed was a base, and it served its purpose. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, really very lovely to deal with and I feel that is always important. Room was clean and bright. Bed was comfy for me, and the temperature was fine even if the in-room controller didn't seem to be working at all. Liked the little touches in the Reception area with nods to Birmingham - Perry the mascot from the Commonwealths was a particular fave of mine!

Slightly shabby and dated decor inside and out. The toilet in the room was in a tiny room, separate to the shower and sink, and it was quite claustrophobic and I had to use a towel to prop it open as it wouldn't stay open! Being next to the A38 could annoy people but with the window closed it drowned out most of the road noise.

I have scored 9/10 as there was no recycling on site. This is important to me. Location fab for a concert at the O2 Academy, literally less than 100 yards along the road. Great at the end...home in 2 mins instead of fighting traffic, trains, taxis etc Good facilities on site...an ironing room, perfect for the days i was working, a micro to heat food, dining area serving breakfast am and pizza 24 hours plus various beverages. Room fine, its a budget hotel at an amazing prize, so a comfy bed with working shower and tv is all i need, and that was spot on. Reception could not have been more helpful in dealing with my queries and checking in...top marks to Dot, if there is a receptionist of the year award 2025 she gets my vote!

No recycling. A kettle in the room would have been nice but coffee machine near reception is ok.

Basic, but everything we needed for 1 night. It was clean and tidy. Good value for money.

Possibly a better system at night. The security guards were a little abrupt. Also, I stayed in a room with my 21 year old son in a 3 person room. They assumed we were sharing the double bed and didn't make up the single bed. We had to do it ourselves.

Easy to find the hotel with adequate parking. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. The room are very basic and clean.Bed was comfortable.Rooms are very quite you only hear a little bit of noise from the dual carriageway.About 10 to 15 minute walk in centre of Birmingham and train station. If you need anything like extra pilliow etc just ask reception. If you are staying at this hotel and are going to NEC leave car at hotel and get a train it's so easy because the traffic is so busy.

The only downside no tea& coffee facilities in your room. But there is vending machine in reception area. No hair dryer

The hotel is extremely well located for anyone, like me, who had to go to a conference at Birmingham University. It's a direct 15-min bus ride or a 45-minute walk, which I also did. Cycle path along the whole way too. The bed was extremely comfortable. The windows do cancel the traffic noise very effectively. The shower was really good. I would undoubtedly stay at this hotel again.

For me, there was only was negative: no kettle! That was a first in a hotel in the UK! But then, I understood. The hotel has got the word 'Budget' in it, however I believe this means that they're on a budget and we have to foot the bill by coming down to the reception for a £2.50 uninspiring cup of tea, to help them with their... budget. This is really low.

Very clean and staff was very helpful and kind would definitely come back the rooms was very good a bit on the smaller side but for 3 people it was enough. The breakfast was very good for the price and you could have as much as you wanted the hotel is in a good enough location a few shops around and places to eat at I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants a quick trip 4/5

The breakfast was good but I think there should be more diverse options maybe adding hot food instead of just being pancakes and sandwiches the room was great I have no complaints about that other than the shower being a bit tight but it was fine for our group

On Booking .com i booked a room with 2 single beds as my Daughter with travelling with me, due to my Plane and train being late i arrived at the Hotel at 00.40 , at reception i was given a double and a bunk above the double bed, the following morning i spoke with reception and a young man called SHANE listened to my story and immediately and without hesitation offered me a bigger room with two single beds, thank you SHANE for your professional work, we will be staying at the Ibis hotel on any further visits to Birmingham.

The Ibis Budget on Great Colmore Street was fantastic. The staff are super friendly and make sure your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need. The lady who cleans the rooms is super lovely too. The rooms are always cleaned spotless. There's air conditioning in the room which is fantastic. Remember it's a budget hotel so the bathroom is compact, the sink and shower is in the room but tucked behind a wall. This was not a problem for us. It's a budget hotel but it's a lovely, clean, friendly one so we were super happy for our short stay. The location is brilliant just a five minute walk to China Town and near the lucky claw if you have kids. There's a grocery store literally across the road from the Ibis so you don't need to trek far for essentials. There's vending machines inside the hotel, tea/coffee machine, and pizza that you can heat up in the microwave, that are opened 24 /7. So if you're landing late don't worry you can get a snack. If you need your clothes ironed there's a room in the lobby of the Ibis where you can iron your clothes which is very good for those who need it. I was very satisfied with the room. No complaints. All super. Thank you Ibis for a lovely stay.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful, which really made up for other things we didn't like about the place. The location was excellent and good value for what it was The reception was quite bright and welcoming. For a night/weekend away as one person or a couple going to a concert or something I would recommend this place.

The shower smelt a bit of stale water, felt more like a maintenance issue with drainage rather than cleaning as rest of room spotless. Decor in the room was slightly clinical and the room felt cold. Parking availability ran out quickly but staff were able to help find me a space and there's a car park nearby.

I liked it's close proximity to the town centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times before and it's the staff that really made me.
