Beautiful hotel. We loved the old style decor and especially how the hotel was decorated for Christmas. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very nice with everything we needed. It is slightly outside the main areas but we preferred this as it was very busy and it's only a 10min walk away. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend.

Very minor things - the room was a bit warm for us even though it was very cold outside but we just opened the window. There are limited English speaking TV channels There is a clock tower which chimes every 15mijs from 5am. It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers anyway but some may find it a bit annoying :-)

The hotel embraces its history with tasteful memorabilia, but the rooms themselves are well-maintained and equipped with contemporary comforts. My mid-sized room on the 4th floor (easily accessible by elevator) was a comfortable size, with plenty of space to move around, even with luggage. We easily fit four large bags without feeling cramped. The queen-size bed offered a good night's sleep, although those who prefer a firmer mattress might find it a bit soft. I especially appreciated the very modern walk-in shower, a true highlight! While my view overlooked the inner block, it provided a haven of peace and quiet. All the expected amenities of a 4-star hotel were present, including English-speaking TV channels and a safe large enough to hold my 15-inch laptop – complete with a power socket inside! Room service and cleaning were impeccable, deserving a perfect score. The location is also excellent, with a tram stop mere meters from the entrance and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the city center (St. Stephen's Cathedral). While the hotel lacks a pool, gym, or wellness center, it does offer meeting and congress rooms and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and à la carte options. The breakfast buffet was extensive and satisfying, offering a variety of options comparable to other 4-star hotels I've visited, with a very nice touch – prosecco! While I can't comment on the price relative to other Vienna hotels, I believe the value of Hotel Stefanie lies in its prime location and charming character. If you're searching for a hotel with a sense of history, modern comforts, and a convenient base for exploring Vienna, I highly recommend experiencing the unique charm of Hotel Stefanie.

The hotel is excellent to get that Vienna feel. Not exactly in the center but very close. Overall great location and ambiance. I think the price is great in terms of value for money. Breakfast is excellent. Very high quality items in the breakfast both hot and cold, with juice, sparkling wine, tea and coffee varieties. I usually stay at hotels in this price range in Europe and this breakfast was probably the best I have seen. I usually evaluate hotels that I stay based on a very basic question: would I stay here again or look for somewhere else in Vienna if I ever visit once again? My answer is "definitely yes, I would stay here and no need to look for somewhere else." Thanks to the staff who were very friendly all the time. Wifi is also great, easily accessible and fast speed.

I would be happier if the bed was more comfortable. It was too soft I think. This things are generally personal and I don't want to complain about it. It may be also due to the fact that it is a twin size bed since I am not very used to it for a long time now.

Comfortable bed, spotless hotel, fast elevator, pleasant front desk staff. When a hotel manages to present a freshly made ,high quality fruit cocktail at breakfast -it's a sign of a well managed hotel. Warm freshly baked bread too. Good wifi, attractive hotel overall. Beautiful formal dining room for wide ranging breakfast buffet .

I had a room facing the street so had to close the windows at night due to mild traffic noise. The double paned windows blocked all noises.I would ask for a room facing the inner courtyard if you like to sleep with open windows. Also I'd prefer next visit to Vienna to stay closer to District ONE ,the historical center,as opposed to here,a 15 -minute pleasant walk from the center, although it probably would be more expensive.

Fantastic classic setting. Just like going back in a time machine. Great breakfast. Quiet rooms. Most of the staff where very nice and helpful. It was our second stay. I would go back. Very close to underground train network. 10 minute walk to city centre.

A few of the staff members couldve been nicer. Would expect a little more flexibility regarding delaying check out for an hour. The check out time written in the room notice is 1200 while in reality its 1100. The room wasnt cleaned one of the days of our stay. I write these remarks so the hotel management can take it into account. But its important to say that this a great hotel. Very good value.

Our room was located where the windows faced the inner courtyard, so it was quite quiet. The breakfast was varied, changed each day and it was very fresh. Every aspect of breakfast was pleasant and enjoyable. Hotel staff was courteous and attentive, and there was always someone available to help. There are also many historic items to see throughout the hotel, which added a pleasant surprise to each day. It's not an inexpensive hotel but you do receive good value.

The blanket choice was limited to either of a sheet or a heavy comforter. As such we had to figure out what combination of thermostat setting and blanket choice worked for each of us. It would have been nice to have an in-between weight blanket option.

EVERYTHING! This hotel is just the nicest. Some reviews pointed out how "dated" it is, but that adds to its charm, and it didn't feel that dated at all. My room was not cramped, and they had the basics you'd expect from a hotel. The staff were very warm, welcoming, helpful, and courteous. Their breakfast spread is generous. I could go on and on, but yes, amazing place to stay!

Its location would have been a negative point against it as it's quite a distance from the city centre (but it's just a straight walk to it), but its pros compensate for its cons. And I'm not giving them a 10 - they're a 10+++ - so it remains beyond exceptional.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The room was super comfortable and for value for money it was perfect. Although in other hotels I have stayed in had a big variety for breakfast- there was still a wide selection to have. It was a nice surprise to find the note also offered their own sparkling wine for breakfast which was a nice treat.

If there was anything to note would be on Saturday I slept in slightly which meant by the time I came down for breakfast at around 8:30 some of the items had already been finished and wasn’t necessarily replenished. That being said all in all I wouldn’t hesitate to revisit when I’m next in Vienna.

It’s situated in a slightly quieter, more peaceful part of the city, only a short walk from the main centre. It’s all kept really well, with a modern bathroom, while still preserving the traditional feel of its history. The rooms also come with plenty of extra amenities, including a shoe shine polish, shower cap, nail file and face flannels. The staff are friendly and genuinely want to do anything they can to help. The breakfast was delicious, with a large spread of cold cheeses, cured meats, breads, pastries, cakes, hot eggs and meat, fruit juices and even champagne. There’s also a cosy cafe/bar with a charismatic barman.

The bed mattress wasn’t the most comfortable, the duvet a little short and you might need to ask reception for thicker pillows (they have a range they’ll happily offer you). The wardrobe was slightly narrow so you might not have loads of room to hang clothes if you’re coming for longer than a few nights. The restaurant also doesn’t have enough tables to accommodate the whole hotel, so you’ll have to queue for breakfast if you go after 9:00, but it’s not too long a wait. However, these things wouldn’t stop us going back.

Cozy bed, attractive decor, very pleasant dining room staff. Tobias, the bellboy was very friendly and helpful especially when I had trouble with my room key.

I found the receptionist Hr Spadt unhelpful and officious. When I told him that my room key was difficult to unlock the door, he just shrugged his shoulders and looked away. Maybe this is the Viennese way but it is not helpful for international travellers. I observed the same man being unhelpful to other guests as well.
