Absolutely wonderful staff -- went above and beyond to answer questions and solve problems, from carrying a very heavy bag to my room to suggesting places to eat and things to see. Breakfast was excellent, a large choice of items served in a bright room. Location was slightly outside the center, but walking distance to museums and a short tram ride to tourist center. Bed was comfortable, although the bathroom was part of the room which is not my favorite configuration.

Parking. Yikes. The garage where they reserve space is not a "short walk" away but about a mile (1.6 kms) from the hotel front door. The garage was, for me at least, extremely difficult to find and the instructions on how to find it were not at all clear. After a long drive to Vienna, I then spent 45 minutes wandering around in traffic searching for the garage before giving up, returning to the hotel, and parking at a garage a 2-minute walk around the corner -- for 48 euros a day. You can park on the street for free on the weekend, but when I left the car on the curb for 20 minutes on Monday morning to load my luggage I got an expensive ticket, complicated to pay. During a short weekend visit, I devoted a lot of time worrying about and moving my car.

Lovely big room, staff were so friendly and gave us some excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Enjoyed the "Jazz Aperitif" on the Friday. Great location within easy reach of the main sights, as well as the u-bahn and trams but room was lovely and quiet. Huge breakfast selection and serving until 11am weekdays is so civilised!

Staff are helpful, caring starting from reception, restaurant employees. Everyone smiles and welcoming. We had issue with fridge, as it needed to be changed, receptionist Philip was very kind and attentive. He found solution very efficiently and concerns were resolved. All shout outs to the staff, you can feel a good vibe among them. Room has everything we need, kettle was provided on request, room is clean. Location is a huge plus. Walking distance from most of the attractions, quite at night, good walking area.

Things were out of hands of employees: ac was not cooling on a warm day, as it had to with some municipality decisions. Elevator did not have access to ground floor, so we had to carry suitcases. However reception helped us to take them down.

We typically stay in smaller boutique hotels when we travel. This is one of the best. Stand out for us were the staff. I think it's a smallish team, so we saw the same people over our three days. They cannot do enough for you. They are clearly very proud of their hotel. Room was lovely. We were upgraded to a suite. Beautiful bed linen and memory foam mattress. Powerful shower. A powerful (proper salon quality) hairdryer. Thoughtfully set out room - furniture, mirrors, sockets where you need them! Very clean. Typical Austrian breakfast. The scrambled egg was really nice! Location also brilliant. There's a fabulous Austrian restaurant on the corner of the street, and great bars nearby.

I'm struggling to find any fault to be honest.

It is my third or fourth time staying at this property. I like the location, the feeling of being in an old traditional building, the spacious rooms, the amenities and the friendly personnel.. There are some lovely touches such as coffee and tea available for free for guests all day, the bell to ask for help at the bottom of the flight of stairs leading to reception and free apples to take when you leave the hotel.

The rooms are not very new anymore and some wear and tear shows. Most disappointing is that breakfast is now charged at EUR23 per person per day. Just not worth it. Wine selection at the bar was a bit limited when I was there.

Room was very big, bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, location was convenient to the centre walking, not sure about public transport, we walked everywhere. If you don't have your towels changed you get a complimentary glass of wine in the bar. There is a small Saturday market and nice coffee shop close by.

Nothing major. As a wine hotel complementary bottle of wine in the room would be nice, each room is called after a Wine made by the hotel vineyard, it would nice to be offered that. wine in the room. The room had no view, just an interior patio and was a bit warm but we could open the window. We didn't have breakfast, seemed too expensive. The lift does not start at the entrance hallway, its up a level at reception, if you have mobility issues but wouldn't let that stop me going back.

The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful at the hotel Rathaus. We stayed here in a family room as a group of three friends for a weekend break. The room was large, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and choice extensive. Hot drinks were available at all times in the bar area. The location was perfect for exploring the main sights in the centre as well as lots of lovely shops and eateries just round the corner. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing, oh the light above the mirror needed a new bulb.

The hotel offers some uniquely designed rooms that are very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff was very polite and helpful. The WiFi was fast. It was also reasonably priced given its high quality.

Location-wise the hotel is a bit far from the centre, but Vienna has excellent public transport so this is no issue. The fact that the toilet is separated from the rest of the WC is sometimes inconvenient as one needs to cross the room to wash their hands. The room temperature was a bit lower than I am used to and it didn't seem to raise when I turned on the heating.

An excellent hotel, comfortable, quiet, close to public transport, excellent breakfast, helpful and friendly staff

This hotel was one of the quietest we have ever stayed at! The only sounds I heard were from the birds in the trees in the courtyard outside, which is the way I like it! Our room had subtle hand-painted designs not only on the walls but also, amazingly, on the 12 ft ceilings!

Our room seemed smaller than what I thought we ordered but I didn't press the issue because of its other virtues, like looking out over a tree filled courtyard.
