Location was fantastic. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and attractions

Bed was very uncomfortable and springs sticking out from the side and a very thick cob web was in the corner on the ceiling which looks like it was there for weeks.

The property was in a great location, short walking distance to a tube station. Bedroom was small but the bed was nice and comfy.

I stayed over a month ago and still have not had my deposit back

Attractive building, very smart, clean and tastefully decorated throughout. Hotel room was cleaned daily, left immaculately. Staff were friendly and professional. Location perfect for Hyde Park and very close to tube station to travel around London.

Unfortunately we had a room directly opposite the staff storage cupboard so we were woken every morning by the staff gathering cups, etc. appreciate this is difficult to do quietly but would be good if they could be a little more aware of their surroundings and stock up quickly, speak quietly and minimise time taken. Not complaining about the staff as they were all courteous and approachable face to face. Apart from that, the hotel is very good and welcoming.

The smiling, solution-oriented and caring staff was the most striking aspect. My room was cleaned frequently and the common areas of the hotel were clean. I really liked the decoration. In addition to the wonderful atmosphere in the common areas, the fact that I could always reach the coffee service made me very happy as a coffee lover. The location of the building was magnificent. Hydepark was right next to us and it was really good that it was both a fresh air and a refreshing opportunity. The breakfast options were quite sufficient for me. The internet connection and room facilities were also at a level that would meet my needs. I would like to thank all the staff once again. I will also prefer the Commodore Hotel on my next visit to London.

There wasn't a single topic that I didn't like.

For my purpose it was ideal location as a tourist close to everything including underground and bus stops

The price on the morning buffet was a little rich as I can not eat all this food - like to have a smaller option - like a quick french breakfast ( smaller )

Exceptionally beautiful location. Really pleasant to walk. Furnished to a high quality and very well and thoughtfully decorated. Warm, attentive staff.

A bit of a warren to navigate but soon got used to it. Really nothing to dislike. A really nice surprise.

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds

Our room was on 5th floor, no lift in that part of the building had to take 77 stairs up to the room and we are in our 70’s. No offer of a lower floor!! Plus breakfast was in the basement which meant more stairs. Bit chaotic at breakfast food not replenished quick enough had to keep asking for things.

The hotel does not have a bar, making it a quiet and relaxing stay. It's a short walk to the bus stop and tube station giving cheap and easy access to tourist destinations. There is a traditional London pub between the bus stop and tube station offering live music most evenings if you wish to experience this. A relaxing walk through nearby Hyde Park leads to The Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace, gates open dawn till dusk. All rooms we've stayed here have had a small fridge, a rarity in hotels in this price range, but important to meet our needs. The staff are always polite and helpful.

What's not to like?

The hotel was spacious, looked clean, ample breakfast options.

We found 2 cockroaches in the room in our stay. 1 in bathroom and 1 in bed. There were blood speckle marks on the sheet on the last morning on my husbands side of the bed so he may have been bitten. Room was clean and freshly serviced on the first morning, so no complaints about that. The response from the hotel when we reported it on check out was underwhelming. They basically said I'm sorry that happened but we can see no evidence. Despite blood speckles on the sheets and a photo of the bug.. Anyhow location was good..on a quiet street.

The room was a good size and shower big and powerful. The beds and room were cleaned every day. Breakfast included, coffee was strong thank goodness but tasted a bit odd/very bitter. Lifts x 2, a godsend. Lovely lounge area. Always someone on reception. WiFi good. Safe excellent.

Water only supplied on first day. Biscuits only given on first day. These should all be replenished, I stayed 4 nights at the same daily rate? Body wash/shampoo ran out, need 2 of those in a double room daily Nowhere to buy groceries nearby. TV channels limited and casting didn't work. Floor above was squeaky. Coat hangers need checking, half of them were broken at connection. Stronger bedside lamps would be better.
