I liked the location and the facilities were clean and usable at all times. Great value for money in safe area with lots of shops and food places and the underground close by as well as Hyde Park. 100% reccomend for travelers on a budget.

There wasn't control giving to us to use the air-conditioning. Some nights were boiling hot and some nights a bit cold.

This was my second time staying here, and as usual it did its job - meeting the basic needs of a solo traveler who just needed a place to crash at night.

The stairs - it gets a bit ridiculous that people with huge luggage bags have to lug their stuff all the way to the top floor. I understand there is storage at the bottom, but surely lifts can be considered for people with accessibility challenges.

Dear Team, Smart Hyde Park Inn W2 it is a truly different experience at a very economical price right in the heart of central London. It’s both a hotel and hostel, so at first, I was a little concerned about privacy. However, I booked a private en-suite room, which turned out to be very cozy, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly—special thanks to Ms. Carolina, who was very knowledgeable about the area and gave me great tips about the surroundings. Overall, it’s an amazing property in London, and I would definitely love to stay here again on my future visits to England. 💟

Honestly it's a really well run and nicely established hostel. Lot's of rooms and toilets and showers throughout, activities and events on offer, nice staff, and sufficient kitchen and shared space downstairs. A relatively pleasant stay and a place I'd recommend as long as it isn't a heatwave or the dead of summer.

I stayed in the middle of a mild heatwave but struggled immensely with the heat (as did everyone in my room). We commandeered a fan from another room and it was then comfortable enough, but without the fan there was 0 air movement in the room. I also found the bedding quite uncomfortable and small, but it might've been the heat contributing to the discomfort. I ended up having to get a hotel for a night just to get some sleep. The stairs can also be quite rough if you're on the top floor like we were, with the common areas also in the basement. Expect to leave your luggage in the storage room if you have a big suitcase with you unless you're ready to haul it up many stairs.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. I had the great experience of checking in and out with Monalisa and Rodrigo, who were friendly, resorceful and professional. The rooms are quiet, clean, and have both outlets and little lamps in each bed. The hostel has a great vibe and it's located in one of the best spots of London - near the Hyde Park, two metro stations and a 10 minute walk to Notting Hill. If you're looking for a place to stay in a beautiful and calm neighborhood, with a lot of options of transportation (and food), and a greatly located one, you found your next hostel.

The room was a bit stuffy and hot.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the common areas. The beds were super comfortable, and I loved how spacious the lockers were, plenty of room for all my stuff. There were more than enough showers and toilets, so I never had to wait. The kitchen was great, perfect for cooking your own meals. But the real highlight was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Monalisa, always ready to assist and keeping the vibe alive with the best playlists. She definitely made the place feel even more welcoming. Highly recommend staying here. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, and great atmosphere!

The location is brilliant, less than a two minute walk to the 'tube' on a lovely quiet tree lined street that's one street over from a recently rejuvenated hub, plenty of restaurants, popular mini super markets, coffee stops, a stone throw from a famous park (Which is huge), individual cubical beds in dorms with divider/separate curtain, charging point and light in bed. Personal locker - bring own padlock. Nice new showers with good heat, great shared kitchen and dining areas. No curfew. Smoking/Vaping outside only. Greatly underestimated place to stay, worth every penny.

The room had an AC unit and fan, so while it was still very warm, it was bearable for sleep in this heat. The bunks are clean and comfortable with lights, good sized lockers and power outlets. The staff member who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. Staff accommodated an injury by letting me reserve a bottom bed, which was hugely appreciated.

Be sure to reserve late check out when you check in if you anticipate you might be out late. It wasn't available when I got in from my concert and getting out of the hostel by 10 the next morning was brutal. Ensuite bathrooms are very, very small. The bunks are quite narrow and short, which may be uncomfortable for tall people.

Smart Hyde Park Inn is all about location, tucked just a short walk from Hyde Park and well-connected by the London Underground, it’s a solid choice for budget travelers wanting to stay central. Baywaters/Queensway underground is walkable. The hostel offers basic facilities and the atmosphere is generally lively, attracting young backpackers from around the world.

That said, the rooms and bunks are extremely compact, with very limited personal space or storage, which might feel claustrophobic for some. Bathrooms can get busy and aren’t always the cleanest, but the staff are helpful and the vibe is social. If you're looking for a no-frills place to crash while exploring London, it does the job, just pack light and manage expectations.

Super clean dorm, kitchen and extremely safe chilling out spaces. Tons of charging points absolutely everywhere! Kind, friendly, very helpful staff, en-suite bathroom in dorm room (also super cleaned everyday by a very lovely cleaning team). Lots of books, puzzles and games should that be your thing, lots of space to sit, eat, stream etc. P.s A one hour walk to Londons best kept outdoor swimming pool…

Could do with more fridge space to store food, considering the number of rooms, a freezer would be great but I do get why they don’t have one!
