Proximity to theatre, local restaurants etc

Breakfast was like a cattle market, tables were overcrowded. I'd prefer an on-site car park, the easipark is fine in summer but I wouldn't like to have to fight with suitcases along the pavement in the winter. I also didn't like that the reception & restaurant were in a different building to the bedrooms, felt a bit like studentt accommodation

I will start with the staff, It did not matter at any stage of our stay when we approached any member of staff They were always very polite and friendly, We noticed at times the Hotel got really busy (That’s why the Clayton Hotel is so popular) and your Team managed to cope very comfortably with any situation that we seen, In my eyes that’s down to experience You could see that the younger team members were learning from the older more experienced staff, The property was perfectly situated for visiting Dublin away from the hustle and bustle, when we returned to the hotel it gave us the sense of time to switch off and relax, That is what the Clayton Hotel (Cardiff lane) provided the feeling of relaxation, Well done for the professional hospitality .

Nothing, What the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane Provided during our stay was perfect it made our Holiday even more special Thanks x

The hotel was very nice and we had a spacious room for the group of 3. The room service was replenishing water and cookies every day, as well as the fresh towels were provided each time. The location was great for our purpose, right across the river from the 3Arena, easy to get to and back from the concert and still within a reasonable walking distance to the city central area.

There was no fridge in the room, but there was an ice dispenser outside in the corridor so it was not so bad to keep cool drinks. The TV was not equipped with Internet connection, unfortunately, so we could only access cable channels.

Our taxi cost from the ferry to the hotel cost €14 (3 miles). We're meeting a paid 8nt Ireland tour here & stayed the night before. Plentiful of pubs & places to eat a walkable distance. Check-in & -out can do online & by a kiosk in the lobby. Queen bed (deluxe room) & 1 twin. Bed is comfortable & for mid-May, able to have window open to keep the room cool enough @ night. (It's Europe so we didnt expect AC.) A fan was also in the room (forgot it was there to plug in) as well as the traditional hot water pot, tea & coffee. Plenty of elevators which we never had to wait for one.

Hotel front is under construction & takes away from the 'feel' of the hotel. I didnt really care for the kiosk check-in & making our own room keys. Therefore, wasnt told anything about the hotel & couldnt ask questions. Hotel is pretty expensive & we didnt want stay at a more 'local feel' place for one night & to move to this hotel (bc our 8nt tour's first night is here.)

We loved the overall design of the hotel, it certainly felt a lot more "swanky" than your usual chain hotel of Holiday Inn, IHG, etc. The restaurant and bar was a huge added bonus for our enjoyment, and the fact there was building separation between "party" side and "residence" side helped with having quiet time.

For the restaurant portion of the bar (not the bar), staff attentiveness could be improved upon. It took me getting up and finding a waitress after 30 minutes of waiting with not even a drink order having been taken to finally receive service on a Tuesday night. While the parking situation wasn't ideal, the discount at local parking garages helped out - I would only suggest a discount being applicable for also a week-long booking for a garage stay, not just 24 hours.

The property is beautiful. It is in short walking distance to everything but in a quiet area. Perfect location! I can’t express the exceptional level of service and care. We had a bag stolen while we were in Italy a few days prior to arriving that contained our son’s medication. It is a chemo so it was extremely important and difficult to find. After three days, 14 police stations and 5 hospitals with no help from the authorities, consulate, embassy or medical system, we decided to come back to Ireland till we could get a flight home. The staff here, specifically Ms. Sandra went above and beyond to help us and make the rest of our trip a great one. They even delivered breakfast to our son so he could stay in bed and rest. It went so far above just great service, they made us feel like human beings again. They cared. They empathized. They helped ease the burden and I will never be able to thank them, especially Sandra, enough. Every person on staff here is absolutely wonderful. We will never stay anywhere else again when we are here visiting.

Nothing.

Breakfast is nice - a very large buffet with many offering - but very expensive...18 euros/person. One of the two days we ate breakfast at the hotel the staff was very overwhelmed by the number of guests. They couldn't keep up with filling the coffee urns, coffee cups, glassware and plates were unavailable and we waited more that 5 minutes for them to restock. We waited more than 30 minutes for our cooked egg order that was delivered only after we requested it a second time. We opted to eat at the hotel for convenience due to time constraints with our convention. It was a poor choice. The location was good for the Convention Center...about a 7 minute walk. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating - even providing a little assist with an Easter egg hunt for our 6 year old! The major drawback was the pool/gym. It seems the hotel rents the space out for a local business to give swimming lessons and for locals to use the gym/pool/sauna facilities. One of the saunas was out of order. Our 6 year old is a prolific swimmer and the beautiful pictures of the pool were a big draw for us. They were available but less appealing than the hotel website indicated.

Pool/gym access and availability. Breakfast buffet was expensive and poorly managed. I would plan ahead to eat breakfast elsewhere.

The building is undergoing some renovations. This means the staff are working in limiting situations, Reception area and Dining area are smaller during this process. However the staff were all amazing! Friendly and so helpful l, the staff are a credit to the hotel. We had breakfast both mornings and it was outstanding. The food was lovely - absolite credit to the chefs! All staff we met from Reception to Lifeguard, Cleaner to Food Service were friendly, welcoming and always happy to please. Thank you for a really lovely stay.

It was very warm in Dublin when we stayed and there was no air-conditioning. However, each room had a fan in it which was great.

The accommodation boasts a great location—situated right by the river and within walking distance (approx. 2.5 km) of all major tourist attractions. The self-service check-in is quick and convenient, and luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out, which is a big plus. Just ~400 meters from a bus stop (Dublin express) with direct airport connection

The bed was too soft for comfort. Although the room has a balcony, it cannot be accessed, which was disappointing. The self check-out process encountered some issues. The wellness area has limited opening hours on weekends. Given the price range, breakfast could ideally be included.
