I recently stayed at this hotel — conveniently located near the Aviva Stadium and about 25 minutes from the city center, which isn’t too bad. Check-in & check-out was simple and quick, thanks to Hamid, who was incredibly pleasant and joyful, making a great first & final impression! The rooms are quite spacious, and we even had a lovely view of the river. All amenities were spot-on. I especially appreciated that it’s a sustainable, green hotel — I love that if you’re not finished with your towel, they don’t replace it unnecessarily; they just tidy up the room, which felt perfect. The hairdryer provided was a nice surprise — a proper one! Plus, the Ritual products available (for use in the hotel only) were a real treat. One downside was the elevator which I had read online beforehand — quite slow, and only one was working. But that gave us a good chance to get some steps in by using the stairs a few times! We dined at the EAST restaurant. Unfortunately, the receptionist (light ginger hair in a low bun) didn’t lift her head to greet us, which felt a bit indifferent, especially since greeting guests is a key part of her role. After I greeted her and mentioned my booking for 7:30, she simply stared without engaging much. I believe a friendly, proactive approach like “Hi, do you have a booking? Table for two? Food or drinks?” would have been more welcoming. Our server was friendly, though she seemed eager to take our order immediately, which made us feel a bit rushed, especially when ordering cocktails. Also, the drinks arrived at the same time as the food, which felt a bit off — drinks should ideally come first to enjoy while waiting. The food itself was amazing with great presentation, but it was quite difficult to get the staff’s attention for refills or to check how the food was. It sometimes felt like they wanted us out quickly after we finished eating, and we weren’t even thanked as we left.

N/A overall, but a few small things: Robes and slippers should have been provided in the room from the start, especially since the swimming pool, sauna, and spa are included in the stay. Restaurant staff could be more attentive and enthusiastic — offering refills is not just good service, it also drives sales, so why not? The receptionist at the restaurant should greet guests warmly instead of keeping her head buried in a book while guests wait

The property location was Perfect for our visit to Dublin! Right on the Liffey River! And we had a nice view from the 4th floor! Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was attentive and we loved that a big breakfast buffet was available for a low price every day! We will never forget our visit to Dublin and The Spencer was a big part of that!

The only thing we didn’t love about the property was the fact that the swimming pool was rather restrictive for families. They cut the hours short by 2 hours in the evenings to provide adult swim without interruptions from children. I kinda understand that because they also share this pool with a fitness club and some kids can be troublesome. Our kids are great swimmers and very well behaved and it was disappointing that they only had a little time in the pool. Still, as long as you know the hours and plan ahead, it’s not that bad. This was our only complaint and, when we shared this with the staff, they really showed us they cared! We appreciated that. Thank you! :)

Room quiet and clean. Good black out blinds and a window you can open for fresh air (air con also easy to use). Very comfortable beds - we had two singles and a double. Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Fast check in and check out plus luggage storage was great. We really enjoyed using the pool with the kids, and they had some pool noodles and floaties. Staff friendly and helpful. Luas stop and bus stops are very close.

One of the two lifts was getting fixed whilst we were there, and the buttons were temperamental so there was always a bit of wait. The location is a little far from Grafton st etc if walking with kids (but tram stop is close by). I'd prefer a walk in shower rather than the bath + shower set up.

Good location close to the convention centre, its also handy when getting the Dublin Express 784 in as the bus stops right outside the hotel.

The door to the room is hollow but also connected to a fire safety latch so they slam shut on their own. This means that no only do you get a lot of corridor noise coming through the door, but you also get to hear slamming doors throughout the night. (we literally had to put up with someone going between rooms every 30 minutes from 11pm till 4am). Rooms are turned over from 7am, so if you don't put a do not disturb sign or put the bolt on your door you will have someone walk in on you.

The hotel is very well located within easy walking distance of the centre. It is incredibly quiet. We weren't disturbed by any noise from either inside or outside the hotel. The room was a good size ,had plenty of storage space, power points and best of all an empty fridge. There's a good little supermarket around the corner. The airport express bus service stops virtually outside the hotel. Above all , the staff are very welcoming, engaging and friendly. Despite the few negatives I would definitely stay here again.

The shower over the bath was poor. The water power was really weak. The centralised A/C in the room was quite ineffective despite being on full for 4 days nonstop. The weather in Dublin was exceptionally hot during our stay so we really needed the A/C. The mattress was clearly old and needed to be replaced. You could feel the springs making it quite uncomfortable.

It's very convenient for transit on the TFI (Transport for Ireland) network. You can take Dublin Express from Dublin Airport directly to this hotel (20 minute ride from the airport). Also, you can take Dublin Express back to the Airport from the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful during checking in and out of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and there was always room to eat. The gym was available for immediate use plus a locker room to change into gym clothes and/or bathing suit for the nearby indoor swimming pool. Wi-Fi connection was reliable and you can grab a bite to eat from a variety of restaurants and/or bars within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. Finally, you can take a ride to Downtown Dublin using the 60, G1, G2 buses or the Red Line light rail nearby.

Couldn't get my requested side for breakfast. I did ask for extras for my breakfast but I never got it. Also, I wish I could get coffee myself without requesting from the hotel staff. The other thing was that spotting the elevator was a bit tricky since it was blocked by a divider.

Customer service was excellent. In particular, Philip at the front desk was very helpful and helped us to upgrade to a junior suite (for a small charge of course). The room was amazing with a wrap around balcony overlooking the Liffey. The location was perfect. Short walk to all of the sites in Dublin but far enough away that we were out of the tourist madness. Our meal at the bar downstairs was very good.

Just one small thing. It was difficult to pull the blackout shades closed. the pull rod was very short and even at 6'3"" I need to stand on a chair for fully pull them closed. Otherwise the room was 100% fantastic!

The staff were truly excellent and very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean. The location was good, the airport bus drops you off right in front and there is many bussing options with a lot of busses that stop right in front. The train station is walkable. I had two different rooms when we were there. The room facing the back of the hotel was great, very quiet. The room facing the front Quay street was very loud and we were unable to keep the window open at night for fresh air. The one room was more updated then the other as well. I got a pretty good deal price wise so was quite content with our stay. The breakfast was included but I definitely wouldn't pay extra for it. There is a coffee shop right beside the hotel that would be a better option.

Good location for theatre 🎭, staff very friendly and helpful, we were checked in earlier, two bedroom family suite was lovely with big balcony. Coffee machine and water bottles in room. Bathroom with bath and separate shower, double sink. Beds very comfy. Good swimming pool with nice and warm water, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi for no extra charge and no bookings needed.

Good choice for buffet breakfast, but fried lrish breakfast wasn't eatable, sorry, but was nice to get poached eggs and waffles on order, thanks. Black coffee wasn't strong enough. At evening in bar can get good pint of Guinness, but cocktails wasn't great.

The breakfast was over the top wonderful! Stacey, who managed the breakfast, was incredibly professional and nice. The breakfast experience was exceptional. (We didn’t want breakfast every day so we just ordered it the evenings before the days we wanted it.) The beds were super comfortable and the shower was amazing. The room was spotless. We stayed for 5 days and on some of the days the weather was cold and rainy so we opted to just go downstairs and eat dinner. So delicious! We didn’t use the exercise room or pool but we went down to see it. It was nice. And people we met in the elevator said the Sauna was great. This is not in the congested heart of Dublin where Trinity college/Dublin Castle/Grafton Street is but you can walk to Trinity college in 15 minutes. We did that walk quite often. The front desk service was consistently excellent. Bianca at the front desk was wonderful.

Honestly there wasn’t a negative, but to be fair to those reading this, and there’s nothing to be done about it, the weekend was noisy and loud voices like a party could be heard from the ground through our fourth floor window keeping us awake and the room doors are very noisy and really loud when you hear they open and shut in the hallway if you’re trying to sleep. I would stay here again though because everything else was great!
