I had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel on Gardiner Street. The location is incredibly central — just a short walk from Dublin Portal and close to everything you might need: shops, restaurants, attractions. Despite being in a lively area, it was perfectly quiet at night and early in the morning, and I felt completely safe the whole time. Getting there from the airport was easy: about 40 minutes on the Dublin Express bus and a short walk to the hotel. My double room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. No noise, no drafts, no odd smells — just pure comfort. I really felt cared for. The bed was excellent, perfect for getting proper rest, and the room had everything I needed for a short stay: tea, coffee, hot water, a wardrobe, a hairdryer, and heaters that kept the room warm and cozy. I also had the view to a charming inner courtyard that added to the authentic and peaceful atmosphere. Wi-Fi was high-speed and completely reliable — perfect for video calls and streaming. Breakfasts were a highlight — hearty, high-quality, and served by incredibly thoughtful staff who quickly remembered my preferences and made me feel truly welcome every morning. Whether it was tea or coffee, they always knew what I liked. The staff at the reception were equally wonderful — attentive and helpful, whether it was providing an adapter for the sockets, storing my luggage, or giving local advice. I didn’t experience a single inconvenience during my stay. This hotel really offers a sense of safety, comfort, and care — I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Note: there's no elevator in the building, so you might want to check in advance which floor your room is on. For me it was not a problem but for other people it may be important.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were nice seating areas in the hallways, facing out to a small but lovely garden. The walls had many pictures/maps worth spending time gazing at. Lots of books to borrow. Very clean and orderly. The location was very good, central - close to a train station for trips to the north; O'Connell St; lots of pubs; easy walking to museums. Breakfast was in pleasant downstairs rooms with skylights and windows to the garden. We didn't know the area, but felt safe.

Our room was very small, just fit the bed, with a small bath. Absolutely no view. Friends had a lovely large room and bath, but 4 flights up with no elevator. I would choose the upper level room.

We liked the central location, cleanliness of the facilities, the generous size of our bedroom and bathroom (in the older part of the hotel) with a bath, not just a shower, the cheerfully served generous breakfast, room made up and towels replaced daily and helpful receptionist.

The location was very central - so great for tourist attractions and travel connections, but a little less salubrious than the hotel itself. Our room was up several flights of stairs, which was tiring for two oldies at the end of each day. Our stay was during a heatwave and there was no obvious ventilation in the bathroom and the bedroom was also warm. The single room that another of our party was in, was modern, clean and well equipped but very small. There was confusion about when we would pay. My card ended up being charged 4 days beforehand. Not a problem, but not what I had expected from the info provided.

Very nice small hotel close to the train station Connolly and also convenient for Dubliner Express for Airport or bus No. 41, which is just outside of Hotel. Everything was fine, no complaint. I like this english style very much. And they have this lift, to take your bags upstairs (3 floors) its like from The Adams family movie, or from Home alone:-))) I like it a lot.

If I have to say something, that was breakfast. We had to leave quite early, at 7:45 for the bus, and breakfast wasnt ready yet. There were yogurt, musli, some pastries but no bread no coffee. We had to wait for some time to get it and I specifically told the manager in the evening that we are early. So I guess if you need to go even earlier, that might be a problem. Otherwise, if we were later, there wont be any problem:-)

Delicious Irish breakfast and your orange juice was lovely! I’d suggest a coffee machine, rather than ultra strong percolated coffee. Great service, staff very attentive. The property is gorgeous, we overlooked the yard in our room (very pretty). Had everything we needed. Good bit of a walk to places like Temple Bar, but if you want to keep costs sensible, get your trainers on! A lovely stay and would recommend.

Our room was super hot (5) even with the window open and whilst using the air fan provided. Room needs an air con unit really, for guests to be able to sleep when the temperature creeps up. The radiator was red hot in the bathroom - not sure that was needed. If you don’t already come from a big city, you might not feel too comfortable in the immediate area.

The location was just to the north of the river Liffy. About 10 min walk to Oconnell Street and 20 minutes walk across the Liffy to Temple Bar, which was great. The hotel is amongst hostels and has no pleasing foyer or bar area to walk in to, so we were very dubious. The reception is simple and hostel like in appearance. However the staff were friendly and the room ( on the 3rd floor- no lift) was very comfortable with tea coffee TV etc. Good fast wifi, opening window and great bed. Small modern pod bathroom with great shower. We pre booked parking at the spire car park and found a 10% discount voucher on line so only paid 27 euro for 24 hours parking. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Friendly and pleasant eating area. You have to book your eating time so if you need a specific time book that time in advance with the hotel.

WE had to find our own parking as the hotel recommended going to Irish Life car park and bring back the ticket for a discount stamp from the hotel. However the hotel had no idea what the rates were or what the discount was.

The hotel is newly renovated and the room was quite a good size for both of us. It was clean as well as the bathroom. We spent there only one night and, while we had a good deal for that specific day, we were surprised to not have a fridge in the room. We wanted to buy some Irish sausages and bacon and the staff was kind enough to keep it in their main fridge.

I lived with my husband in the same area for a few years. For this reason we wanted to spend our time in the same place. It is quite close to the center and I like the location. However sometimes you can find some people that do not make you feel "safe". However this is quite common in all Dublin city.

The decor was really nice, staff 24/7 who helped us with taxis. Room cleaned every day. Not a far walk up Temple Bar. Room was nice, clean and there was fresh filtered water and coffee bags provided which gave a personal touch. We booked an extra night due to the late flight home and the staff were really concerned that something was wrong, but we would definitely stay again!

The only thing I would say, is that I'm not sure if the hotel would be suitable for disabilities. If you're a fan of a big breakfast then also maybe not the place for you, however the portion sizes were fine for us and didn't leave you feeling sluggish

We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was small but had everything needed and was super comfortable and clean. The location was good and within walking distance to anywhere in the city. The breakfast was plentiful and overall it was great value for money.

Not an issue for us but there was no lift and there was no vegetarian alternative for the cooked breakfast although plenty of other offerings so was ok for us.
