We stayed here for three nights during our trip to Dublin and really enjoyed it. The location is just perfect – super close to all the main sights and right next to a bus stop. We even got straight from the airport to the hotel by bus, which was super convenient. The staff were lovely – very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The place was always clean, and our room was tidied up every day, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was tasty – not a huge variety, but it was fresh and filling. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning a longer stay, as it’s the same each day.

A couple of small things that could be improved: there was no wardrobe in the room, so we didn’t have much space to unpack, especially with three people sharing. Only a few hangers were provided. Also, there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall though, we had a really pleasant stay. It’s a great base for exploring Dublin!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a comfortable bar/dining area (breakfast and pizza available as well as alcoholic drinks, coffee, and teas). We were able to book in at midday, rather than 3.00pm, which gave us extra time to enjoy the city. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk into the city, but there is a bus and tram right outside, as well as a bar (serving food);within a couple of minutes walk. The Hugh Lane gallery is also just a few minutes' walk away There is a kettle in the room, along with a hair dryer and a few coat hangers. There was not much storage, but plenty of plug sockets and a large bathroom The room was clean, and there was free distilled water on every other floor (the floors with the lift and the ground foor).

There was some noise from transport and people on the road outside. There was no safe in the room

The hotel was really lovely. The room was very good and comfortable and was very clean . The location of the hotel was perfect .

Their was not anything their for vegans to have for breakfast. Only really beans and toast. We notice their was lots of food for different nationality. Which is great. Today, it's just important as a hotel to be able to provide for everybody. So pleased don't forget vegans. Their was no soy milk in the dining room when we went for a cup of tea . We had to ask the staff . So, a jug of soy milk is just as important .for your guests Im sure you agree that all you wish for is your guests to be able to experience a wonderful and relaxing time in your beautiful hotel and not have to look for somewhere else for their breakfast. I know we would have loved to have had our breakfast there.

The location was in the city center, close to many pubs, restaurants, shops, and attractions. It was immediately in front of a bus stop. The breakfast was tasty, and our room was gorgeous. The value for the stay was truly fantastic. There was a small pub area that was a great spot to have a quiet drink at the end of the day (yes, quiet! It was patronized by mostly guests, and it was elegant and cozy). The Christmas decor was stunning. Helen, the manager I interacted with nearly every day, did more for me than any hotel manager in memory. She was so helpful and accommodating, and the friendliest, kindest person you could hope to interact with. She truly made our stay memorable with her extra attention to detail. I felt completely at home after a day!

Truly, there's nothing I could possibly complain about!

Great old house converted to hotel. Wonderful location - lots of history, good restaurants, pubs, shops. Convenient to Luas tram and busses. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a front-facing room which was surprisingly quiet at night (little street noise).

There is a lift, but it doesn't go to every floor. A minor inconvenience when lugging baggage. Breakfast was unremarkable. If it's not included in your booking, we recommend trying one of the breakfast restaurants in the neighborhood.

first of all, the staff, especially Helen (?) was very friendly and helpful. the location was convenient to a few restaurants we visited and also to bus stops for the Mary Gibbons tour we took to Newgrange as well as Aircoach buses to the airport. if we return to Dublin we would stay at the St. Geroge again.

we didn't notice any ventilation in our room so asked for a way to prop open the very heavy window, which was quickly taken care of. the defective telephone was also replaced soon after check-in. during the night we were kept awake vy sounds from outside including fireworks! we would have appreciated a thick towel or mat to place outside the circular shower, whose doors were a little hard to open and close.

It is absolutely beautiful and tastefully renovated mixing stunning original features with minimalist modern furniture in a way that feels harmonious. It gives a very good example of how to use a little IKEA in a traditional setting without ruining the setting. We were at the back of the hotel and despite there not being double glazing (which I congratulate you on as I really do love a sash window) it was very calm and quiet. The staff were absolutely lovely. Especially a young red haired woman who was always full of smiles and extra helpful. I’m afraid I don’t know what her name was.

Breakfast prices were a little high especially because I have a teenage daughter with the appetite of a flea!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, quiet, and warm – perfect for relaxing after a day out. Everything was cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. In the evening, it was nice to enjoy a beer in the cozy bar with a great atmosphere. The location was ideal – everything was within walking distance. After check-out, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel, which was very convenient. Highly recommended!

I liked everything about this place

I personally enjoyed the excellent service provided during my stay. Not only was the breakfast very complete, but the staff was also incredibly kind and accommodating. I want to especially thank Ali and Rob, who were extremely helpful on Christmas Eve. They allowed us to bring our own food and even use their microwave to heat it up, which made the evening feel extra special. Although the menu options were somewhat limited, the bar staying open until very late added a nice touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was also fantastic, with the hotel being very close to the main street and within walking distance of many attractions. As for the room, it was simple yet complete—not too big or too small—and met my needs perfectly.

However, I would like to mention that the TV was unable to connect to the internet. When I asked for assistance at reception (not from the staff I had previously mentioned, but from another person), I was told, “If it can’t connect, then it can’t connect, so I guess that’s it.” This response was a bit disappointing and lacked the level of helpfulness I had expected. Additionally, the TV channels had poor signal, causing the picture to glitch constantly, even when trying to watch regular cable TV. I also want to note that, although I understand the building is old, there was a noticeable gap under the door, which allowed sounds from the hallway to be heard very clearly, including every step taken outside.

Comfortable and very clean. The public transport is nice and close. Thoughtfully, they provide water bottle refilling stations. Very helpful with luggage storage. Close to a convenience store.

Not an inexpensive stay but it's a very expensive city. No options for smokers other than standing out on the front step. An uncomfortable situation for the guest and not a great look for the venue. Perhaps a smoking area at the back?. It is still legal to smoke, I think.. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful .
