Well located, fabulous city view from 14th floor, staff always smiling, welcoming , professional & willing to assist. Restaurant provides magnificent buffet breakfasts and dinner produces amazing courses of magnificent quality food, especially the steaks which were cooked to perfection. Desserts also special. Wine choices varied and the bar cocktail offerings tight but the barmen will make anything you desire even if ingredients are unavailable as their knowledge allows for substitution. The rooms/suites are so comfortable & well decorated and the beds & pillows are renowned for their comfort. This was our 2nd stay & we will continue to return. Highly recommend.

I stayed then the hotel was impacted by tropical cyclone Alfred. No room service or menu, just a buffet which had good food and I understood the reasoning. I thought the price was excessive given there were only three options for protein, one of which was Mac and Cheese. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Breakfast was amazing, staff amazing, location the best for me as I need to get to Wesley hospital every visit the next morning, so perfect for me to get there on time. Getting there and being upgraded and getting complimentary breakfast on arrival was amazing as I never get to have the breakfast. Thank you so much!!

I didn't check the wardrobe for a blanket but I would of slept a lot better if I was warmer. $8 to deliver dinner on top of cost of meal I thought was a little much but I don't usually order in so am unaware of the prices of that to be honest.

Famous room size excellent service and housekeeping. Amazing stay couldnt have asked for anything more freshly backed cookies daily at reception and refreshing drinks cold refreshing drink. Lobby smells incredible so luxurious. Bed was absolutely amazing, memory pillows option and amenities are amazing. The room was so beautiful soft colours and amazing interior so luxurious and classy feel with modern finishes. Amazing service all staff are very friendly and professional and always so helpful. The facilities are excellent gym, pool, spa and lobby. Also private gym. Bottled water provided for gym. Luxurious towels and huge bathtub for two guests its got Bose sound system great insulation and beautiful rooms. Enjoyed every minute especially the executive longe and the staff were amazing. The cocktails at the hotel and room service is exceptional. Thr daily buffeet breakfast was to die for. Had the best time for new years so much fun. Will be back in a few weeks celebrating my birthday.

Nothing, didn't stay long enough..

We stayed 4 nights. Spacious and clean room but a little run down. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our time in the bar and the couches were comfortable. Friendly staff! The lobby is spacious and with lots of chairs available if you're waiting for your ride. Location is very accessible to shops, restaurants and central train station. There were free cookies and champagne on new year's eve. Overall, we're very happy with our stay. we're definitely coming back.

Having stayed at Sofitel’s around the world, the lush bedding, especially the mattresses toppers have always been a draw card and I couldn’t wait to immerse myself into our bed. Unfortunately, this time I was disappointed to find the toppers were replaced with a thinner version. May be not a deal breaker however the anticipation of collapsing into a Sofitel bed would be the reason I would pick to stay there over another 5 star.

Convenient to Central Station which is where the AitTrain comes in from airport. Staff were lovely. Bathroom had bathtub as well as shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Room lovely and large. I’ll request a view next stay. Bed very comfy. Short walk to Riverside, ferry and mall. Comfy bed.

No points for charging devices near bed or sofa. Had to plug charger in near desk which was inconvenient. Strangely, 2 ports in bathroom. Pillows were all very very soft. A combination of soft/medium would be nice.

My room was comfortable with all the anticipated amenities provided. Staff were outstandingly thoughtful, courteous and highly professional. I had no unmet need during my stay. Breakfast was the only meal I ate at the hotel, but that was excellent each morning. The location of the hotel is superb: close to all amenities of the CBD with access to trains immediately below the hotel building with access to Central Station without even having to go outside but merely descend the escalators to the station below. An excellent stay.

The bathroom is somewhat dated for today's standards with the shower over the bath and nor separate. Still, all facilities suited me well and I have no complaints. The hotel suited my needs and there was nothing that was of concern to me that diminished the quality of me stay.

Staff need to tidy up the pool area regularly and clear old wet towels from lounges. Perhaps provide electric scooters for visitors to use to get around at a better price than the privately run ones on the street. We were a family of 5 and cost of 5 scooters was crazy!
