Lovely location, very friendly front of house staff, and also very friendly and helpful breakfast staff. My husband Mark would like to thank Mark the chef for a lovely breakfast each morning 😀

Felt the bar staff were a little young and surly. Elanor (apologies for the mis-spelled name) was our first contact in the bar. She never made eye contact when being given our order. It seemed as though she couldn’t be bothered. Think it would benefit by being overseen by a more experienced/mature staff member which would then benefit the younger staff as they need to learn how to interact with real people face to face

Hotel is absolutely lush - fresh and beautiful decor. The Staff were super friendly and attentive. Very impressed with our room - the bed was very comfy with loads of room and we loved the botanical handwash and shampoos! Had our tea at Zio on the second night - amazing! - can't fault it. Literally a 2 minute walk away from the Metro and a Spar/Nisa down the road if you fancy a few cheeky tinnies and a bag of prawn crackers to end your night. Well done to the Staff - you're top notch! Thank you so much for having us - would absolutely stay again.

Very nice room, clean and plenty of storage. The bed was large and comfortable with plenty of pillows. A good sized bathroom with complimentary toiletries available. The location was great, within walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. There is also a Metro station very close for easy access to the town centre Parking was good and secure, we were able to leave the car there for the two nights we stayed. It wasn't free but reasonably priced so it wasn't a problem. I would also recommend the restaurant, Fratello's, as a lovely place to have dinner.

No issues at all, I couldn't honestly find fault with anything.

Too much door slamming.every thing else was lovely very clean enormous bathroom imaculately clean could open windows in morning put heating on though i fing it difficult they do have instructions.there was fridge in room, ironing board hair dyer, coffee ..bed was comfy easy to get into if back hips hurt there is lovely chair love those round shaped chairs supportive after long journey for me anyway shampoo conditioner in big pumps i bring my own sometimes but its great when not allowed liquid soaps on plane run out shampoo quickly shampoo soaps are bonus.nice clean carpets lovely colourful decoration .curtains good opened window in morning was great cause i get head aches if too long in air conditioning opening window helps a lot .like shower curtains bath tub soak helps with aches water very hot ! Room genrous size big enough to put cases on floor collapse into bed.lots choice in lighting.

Room was fine and the breakfast was good.

There was no safe in our room, so we relocated to new room (which didn't have a fridge, but it existed in the original room). In addition to our suitcases, I also ended up also moving the fridge! I also discovered that the safe in our new room was not secured, so could have moved that instead! Our friends were also moved, but to a good distance from us. With breakfast until 10:00, I would have expected that they wouldn't have cleared the self service counters at 10:06! We also were requested to remove the room, to allow them to prepare for lunch but breakfast runs until 11:00 at the weekend!.

Location & helpful/friendly staff. I loved the air con in the room and the floor lighting near the door. The 12.00 check out time is fab too.

The mirror at the dressing table is ridiculous as you are unable to see when styling your hair unless you kneel. There is plenty of space on the wall above to accommodate a large mirror. There is no plug socket near the tall mirror which would be ideal as you can stand up to do your hair. Also would be nicer to have an option of a brighter light on the ceiling or at the full length mirror when getting ready.

Great location for Jesmond, and especially the Metro, only 5 mins walk away, giving you access to the whole of Tyneside. We have stayed at this hotel about 12 times, over the last 10 years..... we love it.

Couple of small issues... a pair of knickers left on one of our three rooms, plus curtains not full on a rail in another. Maybe needs a bit of redecoration in places.... beginning to show its age. Comfy chairs by the entrance to the restaurant have been there years and look saggy now. ...... see above though... we love the hotel and will be staying again.

Quiet, no noisy families. Only a ten minute walk to the centre of Newcastle, so once you're there, you don't need transport. Although there's a main road at the front the sound proofing is good so you don't year it till you go outside.

Starbucks isn't coffee, it's coffee-coloured water. Please get rid of it and put in a proper coffee-making facilities in the reception/bar area which coffee drinkers will appreciate. Starbucks is what you get at motorway service stations. It doesn't go with Holiday Inn's image. You get better coffee from Waitrose stores which have Caffè Nero coffee machines.

Location is excellent and parking is a bonus. From the moment we arrived at the front desk until we left at the end of the stay. We had an issue with the car which needed attention, and the staff took all the stress out of the situation by offering support and reassurance. At breakfast- our dietary restrictions and cross contamination issues due to coeliac disease , we’re dealt with and the chef prepared a safe meal . We were so grateful again for the care and understanding from the breakfast team

Downstairs had been refurbished and looked lovely. The breakfast had a great choice and was very good. The beds were comfortable and the room a good size. The parking wasn’t a problem but why £11 a day ? Surely it’s the hotel car park !

We stayed in an executive room and was a nice size but looked tired … windows were dirty and paint peeling on the door in the bathroom so not really expected for the additional price we paid .
