You get good value for money in the UK. The breakfasts and dining room are both good, the staff are friendly, and there is a metro line nearby. The room has a fridge and is big enough for one person. AC works good.
The road below the hotel is quite busy, so it is better to choose a room facing away from the road. The door to the room is poorly insulated, leaving a 1.5 cm gap at the bottom through which you can hear everything from the corridor. The bathroom was quite cold, and there was only a small towel radiator.

On arrival check in was pleasant. The manager and staff where so attentive professional, pleasant and because of them, I would return to this hotel. The breakfast food was lovely, nice fresh coffee. So important! I called a Indian takeaway to deliver to the hotel. They didn't mind at all. The hotel is surrounded with a lot of history, many monument and statues to see. Shorty trip to town. I'll be visiting NC again.
I immediately informed the duty manager of my problems, and he changed my room without a fuss The charging power board was not fully functional. The room door failed to lock, the dead bolt was not lining up. Poorly finished by the joiner. . The dressing tables are in desperate need of a complete revamp. You need to kneel on the floor to see what you are doing if and nessary. Would suit little people, with dwarfism. Neglected details mentioned above makes your stay a little less comfortable. The restaurant menu I felt it was a little over priced. Plus the kitchen closes before 10pm.

Lovely location, very friendly front of house staff, and also very friendly and helpful breakfast staff. My husband Mark would like to thank Mark the chef for a lovely breakfast each morning 😀
Felt the bar staff were a little young and surly. Elanor (apologies for the mis-spelled name) was our first contact in the bar. She never made eye contact when being given our order. It seemed as though she couldn’t be bothered. Think it would benefit by being overseen by a more experienced/mature staff member which would then benefit the younger staff as they need to learn how to interact with real people face to face

The breakfast was excellent. We have stayed at many hotels in Newcastle and in other cities and the Holiday Inn Jesmond breakfast was among the very best. I made a point of telling this to the chef who I believe is called Costa. He was very grateful to be told he made the best breakfast in town. Equally we would like to praise and thank Alba and Fanila the waitresses who couldn't do enough to help and all with a smile. They began our day well.
The lighting in the bathroom was disappointing. It was a very dull light and not suitable for putting on make-up.

Hotel is absolutely lush - fresh and beautiful decor. The Staff were super friendly and attentive. Very impressed with our room - the bed was very comfy with loads of room and we loved the botanical handwash and shampoos! Had our tea at Zio on the second night - amazing! - can't fault it. Literally a 2 minute walk away from the Metro and a Spar/Nisa down the road if you fancy a few cheeky tinnies and a bag of prawn crackers to end your night. Well done to the Staff - you're top notch! Thank you so much for having us - would absolutely stay again.
Leaving :D (Didn't want to)

Very clean , nice layout of the room , I got a standard room and it was very spacious and had everything that was needed including storage space for clothes and a mini fridge the bathroom was lovely with a big shower and huge mirror which is always a bonus ! , loved the blackout curtains and how cool the room was particularly because when I visited temperatures reached up to 30° , there was a little table with a mirror perfect for getting ready at or doing work if your going for a work related trip , overall a great hotel !

Very nice room, clean and plenty of storage. The bed was large and comfortable with plenty of pillows. A good sized bathroom with complimentary toiletries available. The location was great, within walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. There is also a Metro station very close for easy access to the town centre Parking was good and secure, we were able to leave the car there for the two nights we stayed. It wasn't free but reasonably priced so it wasn't a problem. I would also recommend the restaurant, Fratello's, as a lovely place to have dinner.
No issues at all, I couldn't honestly find fault with anything.

Close to town moor where we was going. Lovely staff and huge triple bed with mini fridge lovely rooms. Reception checked us in at 10am and we said we would be out all day so left our car and bags in storage and left for the day and our key was waiting for us at 1130pm.
Nobody told us what time breakfast finished and we thought breakfast would be available upto checkout at 11 and it finished at 10. And we looked for a menu in the room to order breakfast and only was dinner menu. So missed any breakfast. £140 for 1 night

Location & helpful/friendly staff. I loved the air con in the room and the floor lighting near the door. The 12.00 check out time is fab too.
The mirror at the dressing table is ridiculous as you are unable to see when styling your hair unless you kneel. There is plenty of space on the wall above to accommodate a large mirror. There is no plug socket near the tall mirror which would be ideal as you can stand up to do your hair. Also would be nicer to have an option of a brighter light on the ceiling or at the full length mirror when getting ready.
