This is our third time staying at the Cosimo de’Medici. The location is perfect, 5 mins walk from the train station and 6/8mins walk to all the main sights . The hotel is small but very accessible , the staff were very friendly and professional . The breakfast room is also small but it offers a selection of fruit and cereal, pastries, croissants etc , fresh juice and hot drinks . The hot food option is limited but adequate . We had a twin room, the air conditioning was a delight in this current heat . The room was cleaned daily and the bedding and towels also changed each day . No complaints at all.

We are familiar with the hotel so knew exactly what we were expecting . The only thing that I feel could be improved is the quality of the pillows . My daughter and I found them to be very hard but after a full day in Florence, it didn’t affect our sleep too badly .

This hotel is just lovely. Situated within a stone’s throw of the Santa Maria Train station it is ideally suited for travelers coming in and out of the city by train. It has an elevator for guests so no nasty stairs. Guests are given a key and security fob to use for entering and leaving the building so it’s a super safe facility. The room was big enough for a two night stay. It’s beautifully appointed, clean and the air conditioning works very well in the Florence heat. Breakfast is included and was a good spread of food aimed to please everyone. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to be close to everything the beautiful city of Florence has to offer.

Nothing, we thought it was great!

The location is just around 3mins walk out from the train station of Firenze SM Novella. Safe and good neighbourhood for excellent pasta, I would highly recommend II Corbolino restaurant, is just 5 to 7mins walk from the hotel. Florence has the best pasted ever! Also, do not miss out the Fotoautomatica machine just along the hotel at street side nearby the souvenir store. The vintage ID photo is the best memory and souvenir for own and the machine only in Florence. Not Rome not Milan.

Oh unfortunately the room fridge is not cooling at all.

Wonderful staff. Ilaria and Antonio at the front desk were fabulous. They did everything possible to enhance our stay in Florence, by assisting us to book tours, recommended some great restaurants and generally were a pleasure to deal with. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the main train station, the hop on hop off bus has a stop directly across the road and is right in the centre of the main restaurant and market area. For an old hotel, we would give it ten out of ten.

At times the air conditioning did struggle a little in the intense heat,

It was easily accessible from the train station and in a safe space with lots of foot traffic but not noisy. The staff were AMAZING and so helpful, they even let us keep our bags there after checking out because we had an early checkout and a late train home. Room was nice and cool but not cold, and the bathroom was very nice. Would absolutely stay there again.

The breakfast provided was good but limited, and didn’t start at 7 am like they said it would. The location is a little hard to find but easy to remember once you see it!

Hotel located within walking distance to many attractions, shops and restaurants. Very surprised that the hotel had modernised the bathroom and the rooms decorated very nicely. The breakfast was very nice and the lady in charge of the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful. She worked nonstop replenishing food, cleaning and resetting tables. The staff member at reception was very friendly and helpful. He was especially helpfully when we were trying to park our very large vehicle inside the hotel’s quadrant. Night Security at the hotel was also great.

Maybe a few extra pillows in the cupboard for 3 people occupancy - 1 extra is not enough.

The room was very comfortable and spacious in an interesting building. It was an extremely short, convenient walk from the train station and the stop for the airport tram. We could only grab a quick breakfast because of our flight time, but the breakfast looked fantastic with a lot of variety!

It's on a busy street, which we didn't mind because we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Florence and the proximity to the train station, and the walls blocked out street noise pretty well, but keep that in mind if you're looking for something quiet!

This was very near the train station so it's easy to move around Florence. We booked a tour early the next day and it was a breeze to go to the meeting point. There are 2 supermarkets nearby so it's easy to buy stuff we need for our stay. The mercato centrale plus the open market selling various souvenirs to bring home (bags, scarves and other stuff) was also very near.

There was no coffee machine which was a bit of a downer considering Italy has the best coffee. We requested for a water kettle which was promptly brought to our room

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. We asked for several recommendations and every one was perfect. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and spacious, especially for a centrally located hotel like this one. The hotel is walking distance to everything and the train station is basically across the street. Breakfast is buffet style and also excellent. Communications were easily done and direct.

I was here with my wife and 3 kids, everything was clean and relatively comfortable. The staff was always super responsive and helpful finding us the parking even though we didn't book it in advance. Very easy to reach in the very center of Florence, easy to park, good size elevator (for the stroller and luggage). Walkable with lots of things to do and see nearby. I absolutely recommend it.

Our fault, we wrongly booked a quadruple room but just for 2 adults and 1 kid. They let us find the crib, but we didn't have the fourth bed. I've asked for it, obviously paying for it, but it was too late and the staff was no longer on site. Our fault but otherwise the staff was super kind and nice!
