A quaint, personable boutique hotel with staff who have amazing detail towards the guest experience. From the wrought iron lift to the welcoming lounge. The room I booked was an economy double and was large enough with nice light from an inner courtyard. The bed was firm. The breakfast was continental, with a selection of baked goods, fruit, and fresh cappuccino. The location was spectacular. A one minute walk tonthe Duomo, and 3 minutes to the Medici Chapel. Florence is compact, so walking distance to the Uffuzi Gallery or Ponte Vecchio bridge was less than 20 minutes.

Having to leave. This hotel, staff, and Firenze are amazing.

The staff were excellent - so friendly, thoughtful and helpful. It was my second stay here and I would definitely make Hotel Perseo my preferred accommodation in Florence in the future. They provide an excellent breakfast. The laundry service was reasonable. The location is just perfect. It's easy to pop back in and drop things off or have a rest for an hour. You are in the middle of the historic centre of the best city in the world.

This is not a criticism of the hotel, but is just meant to be helpful for people intending to stay here. I would suggest that when booking a room, you ask for one that opens onto the interior rather than onto the street. The location is extremely busy from early morning until late at night, and the close proximity to the Piazza Del Duomo means that buskers, musicians and street noise can be heard. It wasn't terrible, but if you prefer a little more peace and quiet in the evenings, go to the other side of the building.

I am an older woman who traveled alone and only planned to stay in Florence one night. I stayed 2! I felt 100% safe at all times. It has a locked gate and an elevator, too. Not all places in Italy have an elevator, so I really appreciated not having to lug my carry-on suitcase 4 floors to my bedroom! The staff was very friendly and helpful (and were able to guide me to a nearby secured parking area for my rental car - which was also great GARAGE GIGLIO). The breakfast was terrific and filled me up for a long day of walking everywhere. I LOVED that the room already had the air conditioning on (I traveled in July, a very very hot month in Italy) so when I first checked in and walked into my room, it was a welcome reprieve from the hot Italian sun. The location of PERSEO was terrific -- steps away from the Duomo. If ever I got lost (though I often used Google maps), I knew all that I needed to do was to find the Duomo -- which is pretty easy to do in Florence -- and I could find my hotel! I also loved that I was able to leave my suitcase in a small room next to the front desk so when I checked out of the hotel but still wanted to wander a little bit more, I could leave my items there. I even took a breather when I got back and sat in the living room there to do some WiFi searches and use their bathroom. Overall, Hotel Perseo is a highly recommend from me. I also suggest hiking up to the top of the Duomo to get a great view of the city and the huge mural at the top of the dome -- and also taking the time to go visit the Uffizzi gallery and the Galleria dell'Accademia (which houses the original statue of David). So worth it (though I am not sure young children would appreciate it). I am not religious but a lot (most) of the paintings are religious in nature, and I am certainly not an art officiado, but wow, the art was pretty spectacular. Thumbs way up for Firenze/Florence.

Not a thing, really. I mean, it's not a 5-star hotel, but I wasn't expecting that!

The hotel is located in an excellent area , near the Trains station (if you go with a small baggage you can walk to it) and near the historic center . We can go walking to many sights . At night many restaurants nearby. We stayed at the family room, that was very confortable for 4 people .The breakfast was good. The cleaning was good. The staff was very cool and I can tell Ms Louise , the owner, was very kind with us.

As the whole Europe, the old buildings have small elevators and sometimes we have to climb stairs.

Great location, staff helpful and provided a map and suggestions of places to visit, room was fairly small as might be expected for the very reasonable rates but had everything needed and a window with a nice view of the street. Lift to all floors was very appreciated. Breakfast room was very pleasant and breakfast good. Overall I was very happy with this property and it compared very favourably to another much more expensive property which I have stayed in nearby.

Small room but this didn’t matter for this trip, but may be a factor if you plan to spend much time in the room.

The location is superb, right outside the Duomo and next to the train station, but you can also reach the Mercato Centrale, Palazzo Vecchio and Galleria degli Uffizi in 10 minutes by walk. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, they were always smiling and helping with everything, really nice people I hope to see again in the future :) The breakfast is also 10/10, the room was clean, comfortable and adequately sized with everything you might need.

No negatives. This is an exceptionally good hotel, I can only recommend.

Very convenient to the central sites to see in Florence. The staff was OUTSTANDING! We arrived waaaaay later than planned. The desk person helped us find a parking garage after midnight. We then overslept our planned checkout - but the morning staff were extremely gracious in spite of our late departure. They then helped bring breakfast on a large tray to our room, gave us excellent guidance on what to see and where, also provided the phone number for a taxi later when we returned for our bags. When we return to Florence, Hotel Perseo is where we are staying!

This charming hotel in the heart of Florence was a wonderful place to stay. We had multiple rooms, which were all comfortable, but the highlight was the Junior Suite with a private terrace, which was large, beautifully decorated and had breathtaking views over Florence. Watching the sunset over the Duomo was an unforgettable experience! The staff were all lovely and the security for the building was great. Really good heating in Winter for such a large room. Breakfast was fresh and coffee was great.

Hotel Perseo is just a few meters from Piazza del Duomo and The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, from where you can easily reach on foot almost every single tourist spot in Florence. It is also close enough from the train station (about 600 meters), so you can also walk from there to the hotel (I choose to get a taxi because I was with a handbag and a large bag). The room and bathroom have both a good size, are very clean and are decorated in a very nice color pallet. Breakfast was included and was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hats off to Marco, who handle my check-in and checkout (he actually made all the checkout process the night before so I could leave the room very early next day, before the checkout time, only returning to the hotel at the end of the afternoon to get my bag and go the train station).
