The hotel was maybe a little dated however it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful

Having to pay extra to use the pool should be clearer in the booking instructions

Staff friendly and helpful. Ample parking even on a busy race day. Room was decent, bathroom and shower ok. Really close to the racecourse. Bar food was nice.

Tea stains on the windowsill so the cleaning hadn’t been done properly. Only gripe other than that was that after the races the bar was open to all comers despite the hotel being full. This led to big queues for food and drink ,drunken race goers singing/shouting in the bar and no seats for people staying in the hotel. Women’s shoes discarded in the area we were trying to eat didn’t help. From now on -residents only - please,like many other trackside hotels do.

Really enjoy returning here (a few times a year)to visiting my family. It's always clean and tidy, the staff are fantastic and friendly, and nothing is too much to ask and great fun to be around and have a laugh with. There was an issue, but after speaking with a manager, it was all sorted. Overall, I'm still in love with this hotel. Accessibility is great, but you must book the standard room, and above wise, you can't get to your room if wheelchair is bound. They are also dog friendly (1 dog per room) with a small charge for the pooches but worth it. All service dogs are free. I recommend this hotel to everyone who asks me where to stay.

I MUST STRESS!!! that I SHOULD and could have actively reported this to staff, that my bed as in the mattress, springs were sticking up in some areas that was hurting my hips my partner and i struggled as the bed was so hard it was hurting mine and my partners back. My pain was so bad that 2 out of 6 days i could not get up due to pain. I'm disabled and wheelchair bound and have never experienced that level of pain off one of their beds. Like I say, this IS MY FAULT as I DIDN'T inform the staff as I know they would have helped straight away. I CAN NOT blame the hotel, just myself.

Had a great stay . Staff very friendly & helpful .A young girl at breakfast was fabulous . Always smiling and welcoming . Grounds lovely and nice walks surrounding the hotel . Room was clean but a little tired . Lots of damage , chipped timber , no door on safe so could not use . No fridge . But overall clean . Bathroom was nice , towels were great fresh . Would have liked a robe . Good size room . Breakfast was good plenty of choice .Bed was a good size .

Comfortable, clean rooms and great sleep. Brilliant to have a large TV screen, good on the eyes! Very clean and pleasant environment. Dog friendly. Plenty of food choices though the day. All staff willing to please. Great location. Plenty of parking too. Easy access to cute Gosforth High Street, Airport and City Centre for both drivers and those using public transport.

Shame you charge an extra rate for using the gym and pool. Should really be included in the hotel nightly charge. A long wait for ordered food in the Bar area so a tip....give yourself plenty of time. However, worth waiting for the delicious food!

Overpriced for the money you can get that outside much cheaper I know it’s freshly cooked and so is it in most places but a lot of people can’t spend that type of money on a breakfast and stay there. It needs to be looked at many more people would have breakfast and make more money out of it.

The hotel is good. I stayed there many times but on this occasion with the problem travelling just for a funeral and only needed one night stay in the hotel trying to help but was told it was down to booking.com to sort this problem out. I should have only booked one night yes I agree, but my wife done it and as she’s not that well Also the hotel told me today I spoke again to them they were trying to talk to booking.com but I’ve heard nothing and I’ve been emailing all day and trying to phone was put on hold for 25 minutes still no one picked

Great location off A1 for travelling. Stayed twice in a week, once northbound for a funeral in Scotland, then southbound on the way home. Plenty of parking.

On return journey, asked at reception if we could have a slightly later checkout that morning as daughter struggling with anxiety, was told no somewhat abruptly, as the rooms had to be ready for a large party/booking that evening, which left us (myself and daughter) extremely stressed and myself under pressure, which wasn't ideal as we had a 200 mile road journey ahead. A shame as we'd both felt it was otherwise a great stop over-night to break a 400 mile drive. Also on return journey, no soap or any toiletries in the bathroom, had to go downstairs and ask, no apologies, staff were efficient but seemed a bit stressed/rushed that weekend.

I honestly can’t believe how lucky I was to find this hotel. The elegance and attention to detail made it feel like a 5-star experience, but at a fraction of the price – truly unbelievable value! What made this stay extra special was how beautifully pet-friendly it is. My dog was treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Fresh, non-tap water (yes, really!) was provided for him, and he even received luxury dog treats that looked good enough for me to eat. The thoughtfulness blew me away. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The decor was tasteful and calming, the ambiance luxurious yet relaxed, and everything from the linens to the lobby lighting was perfectly curated for comfort and class. If you’re looking for an affordable stay without sacrificing an ounce of style—and you want your furry friend pampered too—this is the place. We’ll be back for sure. 🐾✨

Room lovely and big with Netflix tv dislikes ordered pizza at bar for room not cooked properly toppings were cremated but underside raw no cutlery or napkins would have taken it back but already ready for bed went to breakfast in morning everything was again cremated only good thing was the toast even tea machine was lukewarm tea I always stay here but next time I won’t be getting pizza or breakfast big let down to hotel told reception on check out but it’ll probably be brushed under carpet as they didn’t seem interested
