The rooms are outstanding, clean and comfortable. Super facilities gym, pool and spa. Staff are all friendly, professional and extremely helpful.

The location is distance you need a car, however it’s also quiet and surrounded by trees and if your up early you’ll spot beautiful deer!

Staff friendly and helpful. Ample parking even on a busy race day. Room was decent, bathroom and shower ok. Really close to the racecourse. Bar food was nice.

Tea stains on the windowsill so the cleaning hadn’t been done properly. Only gripe other than that was that after the races the bar was open to all comers despite the hotel being full. This led to big queues for food and drink ,drunken race goers singing/shouting in the bar and no seats for people staying in the hotel. Women’s shoes discarded in the area we were trying to eat didn’t help. From now on -residents only - please, like many other trackside hotels do.

The hotel was maybe a little dated however it was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful

Having to pay extra to use the pool should be clearer in the booking instructions

Comfy room - arrived late but all good. Made my pet and me feel very welcome

There was quite a lot of litter in the garden - I tried to pick some up.

The hotel was a large hotel and even though the conference facilities were in use it didn’t feel busy. The rooms are larger than other hotel rooms and a full bath is a welcome change

Maid service is not daily only on request.. the welcome on arrival was a bit blunt because I thought the company had prepaid it and hadn’t… once sorted the was ok. When cleaning the rooms the need to move the bed out the dust under the bed too 229 was years old along with several odd er rings hair clips and a belt buckle.. room was cold the first night and the heating on the all didn’t work. I was given a portable heater… also not wise having long curtains at the window that blocks the radiator so the heat stays in the window and not in the room. Breakfast only until 9:30 am and they are very quick to take everything away by 9:32 there was nothing out. This was the same on all 3 days of my stay.

This was our second stay at this hotel, and have to say it was just as good as last year. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. The hotel opened in the mid 1960s and still has a lot of retro style in a blend of 1960s Brutalist exterior but with a sixties take on Art Deco detail throughout reception, restaurant and public areas. Furniture in the rooms is more modern but still vintage, but details like the chairs, beds, curtains and carpets are of course much more recent. It has a nice atmosphere. A large TV made for good entertainment in the room - none of the tiny screens some hotels supply. Excellent shower. High quality bathroom, again with a slightly Art Deco style. Breakfast (buffet style) was great, with a good choice of cooked and continental food. No problem with gluten free/lactose free diets either. Will probably be back in the area again next year, so will stay here again.

Nothing much. Like most hotels, the lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter - 2 bedside lamps, and the full length mirror was brightly lit, but could have done with a desk lamp or another third light.

Really enjoy returning here (a few times a year)to visiting my family. It's always clean and tidy, the staff are fantastic and friendly, and nothing is too much to ask and great fun to be around and have a laugh with. There was an issue, but after speaking with a manager, it was all sorted. Overall, I'm still in love with this hotel. Accessibility is great, but you must book the standard room, and above wise, you can't get to your room if wheelchair is bound. They are also dog friendly (1 dog per room) with a small charge for the pooches but worth it. All service dogs are free. I recommend this hotel to everyone who asks me where to stay.

I MUST STRESS!!! that I SHOULD and could have actively reported this to staff, that my bed as in the mattress, springs were sticking up in some areas that was hurting my hips my partner and i struggled as the bed was so hard it was hurting mine and my partners back. My pain was so bad that 2 out of 6 days i could not get up due to pain. I'm disabled and wheelchair bound and have never experienced that level of pain off one of their beds. Like I say, this IS MY FAULT as I DIDN'T inform the staff as I know they would have helped straight away. I CAN NOT blame the hotel, just myself.

The room was comfortable and larger than expected. All the normal facilities, plus a mini fridge, coffee machine and iron and ironing board. The bed was large and comfortable, but my only negatives would be that the quilt did not cover the whole bed and their was no choice of pillows, which were quite hard. Bathroom was clean and tidy Good choice of food for breakfast which was hot buffet and also cold meats and cheese, yoghurts and plenty of fruit, plus toasts and pastries.

The pillow in the bed were quite hard and the quilt did not cover the whole bed. I also found it confusing why you need to pay extra to use the leisure facilities at £7 per day for an adult even when a guest of the hotel.

Property large with plenty of amenities available, family used the indoor pool area and enjoyed their time there lifts next to reception disabled parking also close to entrance with plenty of space for parking. Looked to have walking paths around the property which is handy for walking & those who may enjoy their outside running. Across from the entrance to the hotel grounds were Asda mini market/petrol station plus several other places to eat from fast food to a restaurant which was 5* in the food and service. There is also a Costa McDonalds mimi ice cream bar and a travel lodge for the smaller budget hotel😜

Can’t say anything about the property I didn’t like.

Comfortable, clean rooms and great sleep. Brilliant to have a large TV screen, good on the eyes! Very clean and pleasant environment. Dog friendly. Plenty of food choices though the day. All staff willing to please. Great location. Plenty of parking too. Easy access to cute Gosforth High Street, Airport and City Centre for both drivers and those using public transport.

Shame you charge an extra rate for using the gym and pool. Should really be included in the hotel nightly charge. A long wait for ordered food in the Bar area so a tip....give yourself plenty of time. However, worth waiting for the delicious food!
