location was good for us. staff welcoming. two couples, so the double ensuite was great. we couldnt get the wifi - but as it was only one night its wasnt an issue. any longer and we would of asked for help. (luv the jetplanes at reception). wish we had enough time to dine at the restaurant - the menu looks mouthwatering. I love the artwork and the "moodiness" vibe of the Hotel.

we got a ticket to park at Wilsons, but when we returned from dinner - after 10pm, they were closed. We parked on street, which was fine. Nothing to do with your Hotel, but if you've paid $35 for 24hr pass, we should be able to enter anytime in that timeframe.

I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom when I arrived, which was appreciated! The room was very small and just perfect for a city stay. The shower was large, the water pressure average but hot. The decor was very dark all over, looks quite classy in the daylight but a bit depressing at night. A dim night light would be great. Blackout curtains were awesome for sleeping in and the bed was firm. Everything was clean and new. Multiple power points make charging every device easy. No problems with WiFi and worked and gamed without lag.

A light over the eating area would be helpful, as the main lights are too dim to reach there adequately. The microwave should be placed down lower for safety reasons. A kitchen cupboard door hits the front door handle and the bedroom cupboard door hits the lights. Annoying, but not restrictive! A spare blanket would not have gone amiss and there's no landline to call down to reception. The smart TV was slow and not worth setting up streaming accounts as it requires a Google log in to update.

I've stayed here a few times now, and I love the common spaces. They are fantastic and I always use them, either the garden bar or the library. Great if you are meeting people too. This time I stayed in a 1-bdr apartment (rm 1012), which was very convenient and functional. Much better layout than the little lux studios, not just the extra space but the way it was organised. The view to the city was awesome and I enjoyed looking down on the goings on at K Rd. p.s. book ahead for the spa, I didn't and missed out.

Took a few stays to put my finger on it but the energy feels unbalanced - too much male energy, not enough female. Manifests itself in various ways - the overwhelming dark colour scheme in the rooms with not one cushion to be seen, the lack of anywhere to hang long dresses (it would be so easy to put a nice hook or two high up on the wall), the ever so slightly pervy art work of a Polynesian woman in various states of half undress. I get the references to K Rd but honestly, this could be better, does not work with the high end lodge aspirations at all.

My first trip to NZ and was lucky to find a perfect hotel, considering the price and the offered services. The hotel is approx. 20 min. walk from the oceanfront (harbor), which is also the city center. There is a 24/7 grocery store across the street, a few beer/wine shops nearby (9am - 9pm), and restaurants of all nationalities and street-food all around, but it is not even necessary, because the hotel has an excellent restaurant and bar. Breakfast is very good, which you can order from the short menu, I recommend: Big English Breakfast, quite enough for a big man. The windows of my room faced the backyard, it was very quiet and the birds were chirping. I will mention that there was an old cemetery on the backyard side, but today it is more like a park with giant trees.

The elevator works by registering the room key and only takes you to the specific floor. It is impossible to visit a colleague if he lives on a different floor.

The hotel was very central with 2 min access to K road and Ponsonby Rd giving access to great restaurants. The hotel itself was renovated and looked new. The room was suitable for my needs and provided tea and coffee.

The TV didn't work - well I couldn't get any channels as there was no aerial attached. There were APPS on the TV however as I 'm not a streamer with any accounts it meant only YouTube was available and with the intermittent Wi-Fi this was problematic. However, I only found this out in the evening after returning home from dinner so it didn't effect me so much, I just think hotels should check these things regularly.

This hotel always feels so luxurious. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are quiet and pristine, and the location is fantastic! Drawing the curtains makes the room pitch black, which really helped me catch up on sleep from jet lag. There's plenty of outlets for devices, a powerful little Dyson fan that can be used as either a fan or heater, and the wifi is top notch. Just across the street is a 24hr convenience store, and just a short walk down from that is a nice little food court with a great Asian grocery store. I hardly needed a car at all since most everything was right at my fingertips. The adjoined restaurant- Alla Prossima- is phenomenal. I'd love to come back and try the spa someday. High, high recommend for anyone looking to stay in the Auckland CBD.

Parking gets a bit expensive, but it's not the fault of the hotel since they don't own the parking complex.

Very clean room, serviced well daily. It's small but was adequate for a solo traveller and had everything I needed. The bed was a little firmer than I'm used to, but still comfy. Great bathroom products. The front desk staff were polite and helpful.

Soundwise, while a great job has been done to prevent street noise with excellence double-glazing, the walls of the unit seem to have no sound-proofing. I could hear what my next-door-neighbour was listening to on their device, quite late into the night. For a very modern hotel, I would have expected more attention paid to this.

Pleasant stay and I would happily choose this hotel again. Kindly upgraded which was a welcoming surprise after a long trip. Good location, 15-20 mins walk into town. Numerous eateries and shops close by. Quiet as room facing graveyard. However, a few guests noisy on return to room/soundproofing where able to hear next room easily alongside a man outside cutting trees VERY early most mornings! Washing machine & dryer free of charge - vital necessity! Netflix on TV -a huge plus to fight off the jetlag! Beautiful library to relax in (sadly only realised on final day). A special mention to lady on housekeeping team (unsure of name) - very kind & helpful particuarly on checkout with many bags! Gentleman on checkout kind also. Be mindful of bed edges as room is cosy. I ended up with a bruise or two! Did not try breakfast and unaware of additional cost Spa within - fee for use of sauna and jacuzzi. I was not expecting this as it tend to be within hotel stay. No saucepans in kitchen but likely can request such No phone in room

Fantastic value for money in Auckland City! Room was clean and well presented. Staff on front desk were very friendly and helpful. Good parking options. Restaurant was nice. Excellent proximity to K Road and close enough to the city without being right in the city. Fantastic value for money, we would definitely stay again!

You can hear a lot of the street noise even from the 7th floor. Rooms were too hot even in the middle of winter, I didn’t like having to turn a fan on to get a better room temperature. The hotel brochure says they don’t have aircon for environmental reasons but running an electric fan seems equally inefficient. Speaking of fans; I’m not a fan of the dark room colours. It looks nice in the lobby and hallways but I think the rooms need to be a little brighter. We felt like we needed to turn on more lights because of how dark the rooms are.

Modern cool aesthetic. Excellent price point. Lovely Hotel overall, great service. Compact, clean, modern room, perfect for the 2 of us. Smart space saving storage. Loved all the spaces throughout that looked cosy to hang out in, the library and restaurant bar. Would stay again and recommend to others.

My only criticism is that the walls were paper thin. We could hear the very loud conversation and other things going on next door, and got woken in the early hours by the same neighbours arriving home, loudly banging the door and talking loudly. I'd bring some earplugs if staying over a weekend particularly!
