Awesome Queen room with amazing bed night lights, a TV to entertain myself or keep me company, a phone to ring reception if I needed anything, a fan to keep me cool, fabulous shower and toiletries to use. A comfortable and relaxing Queen size bed - it was like Heaven! The location is surrounded by shops, but I enjoyed staying in the room. My highlight was the Restaurant to have a quick pre-dinner ($16 burger & chips) and a $20 continental breakfast (hash bites, baked beans, scrambled eggs, bacon (wish they had the sautéed mushrooms instead of the sautéed vegetables) and weetbix with yoghurt and fresh fruit) in the morning with glasses of Apple juice. Staff were very kind, caring, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Book in early to get a car park because there's limited space.
There was no hand wash in the room, and when I realised there was none, I was checking out. There were condiments to make hot chocolate/tea/coffee but no spoon to stir. They had a kettle with probably 1 cup of water in it, but where was I supposed to go to refill the kettle with water?

The size of the room was perfect for our trip. Very thankful to have Air conditioning even though upon booking the receptionist told another guest checking in, there was no air con in any of their room. Great location. Only a 5 min walk up to K road. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were super comfy.
Parking was an issue. We reserved parking for our two day stay but when we arrived, the last park at the back of the hotel (off the road) was taken by someone who hadn't pre booked and we were told to park by a fire exit by the road for the night. Wasn't too happy as we weren't assured it would be safe parked there. When we were able to park around the back, it was very tight for a ute, to the point I didn't think the ute would fit through the gap. Would have just liked preference for those who had booked and for us, who had indicated upon booking we had a larger vehicle, to have a space reserved so we didn't have to squeeze in somewhere we potentially couldn't have got out of, if another car parked near us.

Perfect room to stay one or two nights in Auckland and a go out and about - we were out most of the time and just needed a comfy bed, a good shower, a clean room and friendly staff! There is even a nice hang out space downstairs if you want a change of scene and a little bar to have a drink or a snack before going out. The hotel is close to everything - good restaurants, the Civic/Aotea Centre, bars, shops, 15 min walk to the waterfront etc. I really rate this place - it is super good value for money and we'd definitely stay again.
The car park is a bit tricky to manouevre into but it was great to have somewhere to park :)

Its a great location, right on the upper end of Queen Street, directly across the road is a good restaurant and a Wilsons car park so its easy to head there, find a park and a meal and you are sorted. Staff were great, friendly professional greeting, but I stay here regularly. It almost feels like home when I step out on the street in the morning, that's how relaxed I am, and that is a good thing.
The rooms are very small, the bathroom is pretty tight, there is sometimes noise from the streets. But overall its a good place to stay, its not a flash place but its very good at what it does. I find it easier to use the nearby Wilsons carpark as their parking underneath / behind the hotel is very narrow and I'm scared I will put a mark on the car.

Great location for business in the city. Nice , friendly night shift receptionist Priyanka I think her name was . Easy smooth check in and nice smiley face.. Can't say the same about the Day time receptionist . Not one smile or hello while passing throughout the day . Even the way she answered the phone when requesting towels . Very abrupt response and came off as frustrated. I work in hotel industry myself . The king split beds need to be dressed with a mattress topper under the mattress protector. It adds more cushion , especially on the middle split part that is uncomfortable. Bathroom Vents not working well , however the windows were enough ventilation

We used this hotel as our base for visiting Auckland. It was a short walk (30 min) to the harbour and a similar walk to the war museum and park area. The area immediately around the hotel seemed a little sketchy at first but we had no issues at all. You are very close to the University so there are loads of places to eat or grab a coffee. The breakfast buffet was good, you can pay a little more to get a fuller breakfast if you want. There is a restaurant in the hotel for lunch and dinner - we did not eat here but it smelled delicious . The location is out of the downtown area so a little quieter. If you are coming from the airport, I suggest taking the Super Shuttle about $20 per person.
I found the room quite warm, a fan would have been nice.

The locality is great for The Aotea Centre. The top end of Queen Street is quite steep so it is a real workout. A wonderful buffet breakfast at a very good price. Very worthwhile. We enjoyed the basic night meal. Very nicely done and again, good value. Butter chicken and pasta. Quite a tiny room but as you're not in it long it is perfectly adequate. Very good price for Queen Street and handy to Sky tower, Art Gallery and Myers park for an escape from city life. We found the staff very good. At the end of our stay worked out the bus system and paying by paywave but made the mistake of not tapping off when getting off bus. Cost extra but we were real country bumpkins who don't use busses. Would save a lot of shoe leather and puffing if we had worked it out earlier. All in all a very good stay at this hotel.Would definitely go there again.
Our son's room didn't have a working air con unit but they had a fan. Ours worked ok. One of the lifts had a taped up wonky card tapping thingy. Sometimes the lifts were temperamental when trying to go up. Maybe it was my card, or me. Sort of threw me as I have a fear of lifts. You can hear the TV and people talking in neighboring rooms. It was muffled but there. Didn't happen often. We were there 3 nights. The cons really didn't worry our stay at all.

I loved the location, it was perfect for getting around central Auckland. I also enjoyed the splendid view from my room. Very kind and friendly service at the reception. Great shower and fresh clean towels every day. Room servicing was very good. I didn’t expect such a lovely stay for the price. Hotel is close to some nice places to eat, convenience stores and public transport. Nice quiet hotel at night and a comfy bed.
Some small and insignificant parts of the room need repair (fridge missing a leg) or some paint marks on the carpet but this is relatively insignificant in comparison to the positive aspects of the hotel. I didn’t find this off putting and I’d very happily stay again 😊

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We had dinner in the restaurant once and found it good value. Generally it was quiet and the bed was big and comfortable and there was fridge and kettle in the room. The coffee in the sachets supplied however tasted awful!
There was no TV remore contro, in the room, when we got one the TV did not get a signal. Also the shower taps are too sensitive, either boiling or freezing water - very difficult to achive something comfortable. On checking out I was not happy with the billing. I asked for a copy of the bill and the receptionist could not do it as he was new. At this point the taxi arrived so he said he would send it by email. So far it has not arrived.

Modern facilities, comfy bed, quality bathroom products in multi-use bottles (no waste), Sky TV (though BBC Earth was "N/A"), reasonably quiet on high floor, restaurant with option of room service (though didn't use), centre location at reasonable rate, friendly and helpful reception
Couldn't find how to turn off the humming bar fridge for the night so pulled it off the shelf and turned off at the wall, turned back on in the morning (hope milk didn't spoil) and put it back but it left a wet spot on the carpet, to which the reception was very understanding and said no problem room service will take care of it. The wall-mounted TV was a bit at an angle and couldn't right it. BBC Earth channel was "N/A" on Sky TV. Walking up to Upper Queen Street is a bit of an exersize (perhaps good).
