Great value for the money they charge. I was cautious after reading some of the reviews and experiences of others, however, they're exactly what you would expect from a 2-star hotel. Yes, you hear noise from the adjacent rooms. Yes, the furniture in the room is old. Yes, the staff is not the best. However, you have your own room, own bathroom for a price that would get you a bed in a 6-person room at a Hostel.

The room was very cold, there was a heater but it caused problems with the electricity plugs, that I couldn't use the heater with the kettle at the same time. The window latch didn't function properly

It was affordable, clean and spacious room & bathroom, staff were friendly and efficient, easy to find and great convenient location, we enjoyed our stay

We paid $20 per night for parking and we're told not to worry about where to park because they only sell soo many spots per night so we'd definitely have a park but when we went out and came back there were no parks available and we had to park elsewhere in the staff parking which wasn't much further away but just not what we were paying for and was a inconvenience having to walk further with our things and kids

I was a bit concerned due to the reviews but the place exceeded my expectations. I booked a double room with 2 beds and a private bathroom. Excellent location in the City Centre close to restaurants, cafes and bus stops. Everything was clean. The room and beds were big, we had a decent-sized closet. A small bathroom but enough for us. We were provided towels, toiletries, a kettle, coffee and tea. The bad side was that the bathroom door would open itself up so you had to pull it hard until you hear it click to make sure it was really closed. The TV in the room was tiny but we weren't there to watch TV so it didn't affect us. The beds were not the most comfortable but they were ok.

Excellent central location, with clean, tidy and comfortable room. Arrived mid morning and was so pleased to be able to be able to access my room early! Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms perhaps not very sound proof - someone was having a long and loud conversation on their phone on speaker-phone (I thought it was in the hallway right outside, by how loud they were) in the room across the hall from me. Not a major problem though, it was annoying but at least it was in the late afternoon and not the middle of the night.

I thought the location was great! It was close to all the main attractions, as well as the bar/restaurant area. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Our first room was on the third floor, but it was an absolute suana, even with the windows open and the fan on. We had to switch to the second floor. The temperature and overall room were much better. Our first room did not have any shelves in the bathroom or shower, but the second room was perfect.

Front desk girl was very nice! I don’t know her name but she helped me to book a taxi as well as telling to about the wifi password! Thank you for that! Facilities wise they’ve got all! Complementary tea & coffee in your room as well as a hair dryer & towels. Common area is spacious too! Lots of sofas & a microwave to heat leftover food! Location wise it’s difficult to walk here if you have heavy luggage like me. So I recommend taking a cab here due to the upward slope/hill this hotel is located on. Fan & heater are both provided, but I can imagine how humid the rooms are in the summer without proper AC…& there are good restaurants around this area that you can go to)) very nice! I’ll stay here again next time when I have less luggage with me.

The Indian guy who checked me in was not as friendly as the other girls there. Room that I stayed in was very small but hey, for USD 40$ a night or so staying in this type of room is ok. Bed wasn’t as long as I thought. Despite the small room size, I did however slept pretty well! Lift is old too…capacity is only 2 people at once.

I requested a room with a double bed and they exceeded that by giving me a double bed and a single bed. The other guests were very interesting and talkative. There is an amazing park out back with a statue of Moses in there which was beautifully made. Room was awfully hot though but there was a fan and plenty of windows to open. It was super reasonably priced too even had a pool table. I did loose a purple ear bud/headphone but it might show up and staff were very supportive about finding it.

The location at the top of Queen St near K road was very convenient for us. The kitchen was the best stocked for cooking equipment we have ever had so we were able to make a lot of our own food. There were fans in the room which was great as it was so hot. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom, though small, was adequate and the shower pressure great. We had our room serviced during our 3 day stay which we were not expecting.

It is clean and adequate but basic accommodation. It suited us but if you are looking for some luxury, this isn't suitable

I really liked the central position of the hotel. The lounge area was really comfortable and I spent some time there with a book. My room was nice and private with my own bathroom. The shower was great

I wasnt expecting the room to be so small..not that it was a problem but I kept banking my leg on the bed as I walked into the room. I only had one pillow and there was a gap between the bed and the head board and I kept losing my pillow in the gap

Excellent value for money. Comfy room with sink in it. Staff is kind and helpful. Location is great, but.. see cons.

Walls too thin, a family staying next to us had their children wake up 6am and started jumping on beds, not hotel fault tho. Entrance of the mens toilet had a strong smell of urine, inside was clean but had no soap to wash your hands after using it. Location is good but you have to climb uphill for several blocks if you are coming from the CBD on foot... Like everything in Auckland.
