Room was large enough for our two night stay. Staff were friendly. We had Aircon. Amazing Thai food across the road. For two nights we paid the same as one night for a hotel down the road.

Parking was a shambles. We had booked a space but was told the only available park was in front of an emergency exit just off the road (which I wasn't very pleased about). When we went to move it we found our car could barely fit through the back carport and due to other people parking very selfishly, we couldn't park for the night. Even though we had paid. If you have a ute, recommend asking the staff to 'save' you a parking right behind reception.

The location is fantastic, positioned only a 15-minute walk from the Sky Tower and just 10 minutes downhill to the theatres. It's a pleasant 25-minute stroll to Viaduct Harbour. Directly across the road, you’ll find a 7/11 supermarket, a liquor store, and a takeaway, making it incredibly convenient. New Market is just 15 minutes up the road, adding even more options. With a variety of nearby restaurants, you’ll never be short on dining choices. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, and the room is spacious and remarkably quiet, even though it faces the road from a higher floor. The room is well-equipped with a microwave, hairdryer, TV, small safe, refrigerator, and eating utensils. Additionally, laundry facilities, including a washer and dryer, are conveniently located downstairs. While you may encounter some hills in the area, I'm fit, so this wasn’t an issue for me. For those who prefer a smoother journey, there are buses nearby to assist with navigating the terrain.

Wi-Fi was unusable most of the time and needed to be reconnected. The best way to avoid is to buy a short-term SIM card available at arrival-Airport.

The location’s perfect, at central CBD. Walking distance to almost everything- convenience store, restaurants, sky tower and activity centres. The whole place is tidy. Good-sized beds with neat linens. Working appliances including the dishwasher. Safe and secured parking space. Lovely and accommodating staffs. Delicious foods from the bar/cafeteria.

Was surprised it can’t provide toothbrush and toothpaste, something that we didn’t bring since we’re only staying for 3 days, thought it would be readily available though. Also, a bit overpriced for the parking space for our opinion.

The location is great- close to restaurants, convenience stores, and bus routes. The staff were really friendly and check in and out was easy. Got deposit immediately back to my card at checkout. The room was comfortable and clean and had good light from the big windows which are tinted from the outside for added privacy (there's also curtains). Ordered room service once from the restaurant which was delicious and good service. Strong Wifi and smart TV, great large desk in bedroom, spacious bathroom with great lit mirror which makes up for no windows in there.

I think my room just needed some basic maintenance, none of these things were major: The AC really wasn't very strong so was a bit hot at times. The fridge was really cold and freezer compartment iced over. There was a drawer dishwasher but it didn't work and was nothing to manually wash dishes. Curtains could do with a clean. There is free wifi but I had to often reconnect, and got kicked off one device at one point.

Comfortable and quiet. The staff were pleasant. There is a bus stop nearby that takes you down to the city centre and returning is just as easy. There were shops and eateries nearby, as well as breakfast available, but we didn't use any of them, taking the bus to supermarkets instead. When next in Auckland this will probably be our first choice of a place to stay.

It would have been nice to be able to open the window to get some fresh air.

Location was good and handy to public transport with a bus stop just a few steps down the road to allow access to downtown Britomart railway station. Although on a busy road-there appeared to be quite good sound proofing and my room on the roadside was very well insulated from road noise.

The air conditioning was rather noisy, especially being located almost above the bed in my compact single room. The design of the bathroom was very compact (quite an achievement in its design), but very little room to close the door whilst in the bathroom.

price was good, clean tidy, beds reasonably comfortable, kitchen had most equipment needed if needed, location is ok only 10 min down hill to theatres etc with a sobering walk back up hill after or a scooter ride, onsite safe and secure parking a bit extra but have stayed in more expensive places and had to drive somewhere else and park and pay anyway

the glass screen in between the bedroom and bathroom, when someone used it in the night and turned light on it lite up the room like daytime, very small lounge kitchen area if sleeping 4 people in 2brm apartment only 3 chairs at table and 2 lounge seats but do aware it was an difficult shape and space to furnish otherwise fit for purpose as you don't spend a lot of time in there

The staff were friendly and helpful. The guy that was there when I checked in was great - he told me where to find good, reasonably priced, close outdoor parking- a lot of times this is tricky as I have a van. This is my second stay here, last time was with my daughter and granddaughter. I like it because it’s in the city for getting around by foot or electric scooter. Bus stops, good food. It also has a full kitchen if you want to cook, is tidy, comfortable, not too noisy, and a good price for all that. 😍

Nothing really.

Staff were mostly friendly. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Room had everything I needed (except a shower cap). Bathroom was good and the single room had a kettle, toaster, microwave and mini fridge, so great facilities to be able to save a bit of money by heating some meals in room. Tea and coffee provided.

Being a more budget friendly option meant missing out on other facilities such as a gym or pool. There were a few issues during my stay, the biggest of which being that the aircon wasn't working for the last few days of my stay, meaning the room got too hot.

I have stayed in hotels run by VR throughout North Island and they are known to provide a comfortably and luxury stay in a good budget. The location being in CBD gets quite busy and major tourist attractions are nearby. The 24 hour front desk was quite convenient because I was driving in from Tauranga quite late at night. Check-in was easy and I opted to have an on-spot parking spot for my rental car, which costed $45 but worth it considering the safety and lack of parking nearby. The room matched the pictures and description with ample space and cleanliness. A small, well equipped kitchenette and living room with tv followed by the bedroom and shower next door. It had a central heating/air con for each room. The shower had fresh towels with basic amenities. The bedroom had good amount of lighting, storage and ports to charge my devices. Overall a good place.

The wifi was pain to sign-in and for most it didn't even connect me to internet. There was a free usage limitation too. The entry to the room was a pain with the kitchenette counter and self-closing door being right next to each other, it is easy to get locked out of the room trying to wrestle my bags in and out. I would have preferred to have a system to hold the door open while I move the bags in and out.
