I arrived to a small but warm room as Bessie had the heater going, the Concert programme via the TV on and a very comfortable bed. The room was spotless as was the en suite bathroom - small but had everything needed. This is a gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets and will definitely stay again.

Shower water power wasn't strong but plenty of hot water.

Bessie is lovely, friendly, smiles, and although I told her Google Maps was my companion and I was only in Auckland to visit my kids, she did ask if I knew the area, which tells me she was going to offer some recommendations. The pool wasn't in order, but that wasn't a problem considering I visited in the middle of winter. The room was very clean, with my little 5yo telling me, "I want to live here Mum", and there were "no spiders" haha she now wants to move to Auckland (we visited from Whangārei). Our next visit, I just may need to return back there again. Thank you Bessie, your home is welcoming & beautiful 🙂

No complaints.

The location was perfect. It was walking distance to the Fickling Convention Centre where the expo I was attending was held and the Royal Oak supermarket was an easy walk away. The bed was super comfortable and there was a full sized stove and oven as well as a microwave. Free wifi was included and used.

The water pressure in the shower was not great and the interior decoration was very dated but did not affect the comfort of the unit. The curtains do need some attention though as the hooks were falling off making them hard to open and shut.

The room was just fine. A little bit small but that's ok. It had everything we needed.

The shower was tiny. I wouldn't want to be toooooo big :-). Maybe I am just used to mine at home

Really lovely staff were very accommodating even allowed us to check in early which was so lovely of them to let us do. I had a fall and hurt myself rather badly and they were so lovely helping me and my husband get me to the car had ice packs for me and just did everything they could to keep me comfortable. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us

Cleanliness, no street noise, parking and very comfortable besides bed.

Bed wasn't comfortable, the next room neighbor was too noisy with tv noise quite late at night and we had early morning meeting. It would have been good to have some milk in the fridge. The shower was a bit tight for someone big size but for me was just enough.

The studio unit had modern shower and vanity. The room was very quiet and we didn't hear anyone else. Ample parking available. Very lovely host who had rescheduled our booking due to us being trapped north with the cyclone. Very comfortable bed and a good size too. We opt for a studio as most our time is out and about so we have a room mainly to come back to shower and sleep.

If I am to say what we didn't like we would seem incredibly picky because we really liked our stay. If I didn't need my water chilled I would have switched the fridge off as it was next to my side of the bed so it could have been resolved but I wanted my drink cold. Studio by nature is a very small room which we are fine with but traveller's just need to remember this.

The room was small but very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The place is very easy to access and the location is extremely handy to town.

The entire facility needs refreshing and is in desperate need of maintenance. The pool is not inviting and is closed a third of the time.

I needed a cheap place, handy to the city and airport, and this place fit the bill. The hotel is dated but the room was very clean, secure and well maintained for its age. The room was fairly large with direct access to the pool area (useful if the weather was better), the bed was comfy and the shower pressure good. At this price point, this is a great place to crash for a few nights.

The room is ageing, but that's reflected in the rate. Obviously the whole place could use a refresh but that would raise the price - just remember that you get what you pay for and you'll have no issues.

Limitations on use of the pool - only certain days available - and it was limited to guest only. Even if the days had worked, relatives who were not staying could not be in the pool with me
