On our first visit we had a lovely room on the 21st floor on the side of the hotel that had rather a pleasant view. The location was excellent as was the bed so comfy. Check in was amazing and quick .The fitness centre was very good especially the pool .Loads of white towels everywhere . A very pleasant atmosphere everywhere .

On our second visit a few days later we were put on the 8th floor overlooking a very drab piece of construction . Not at all pleasant. Our room was a long way from the lift and it was for disabled people which we are not! but elderly yes.

Room was spacious and comfortable, bath products were excellent, the view was wonderful and the breakfast was good. I didn't take advantage of it but they also offered discount vouchers on various venues within Sky City.

The spa is a bit small and it's a shame that such a nice hotel still has the usual "hotel stinginess" when it comes to charging for anything other than the room, for example there aren't even biscuits with tea and coffee in the room, which even roadside motels will give out. The TV broke on our last day, it didn't seem worth getting fixed but again was a shame.

Room was average for this type of hotel, however the bed and pillows and breakfast were excellent. The location and proximity to the heart of the City as well as the Weta experience, the All Black experience AND the Sky tower exceeded my expectations. Totally would stay there again and recommend to friends!

Check-in staff was great, however from that point on the staff at the front desk was less then helpful, especially when we had an issue with the room refrigerator. Concierge desk staff were great entire visit and aided us several times. Most importantly keeping safe and returning an item we had accidently left in the room!

From the moment we pulled up in our taxi, we were impressed. We were greeted warmly, check-in was a breeze & they kindly stored our luggage until our room was ready. The ambiance was lovely. The decor was tasteful & there were gorgeous scented candles burning throughout the reception area. The rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. And the location was perfect for our needs. Directly opposite the Casino & Sky tower. It is right next door to fabulous tourist attractions & amazing food venues. We will definitely be return guests.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like.

Swimming pool and the Sky Tower is the reason why we always want to stay here and for the 3rd time, it doesnt disappoint. Not to mention the comfy beds and the cozy ambience.

I just find the staff not too friendly compared to the other hotels we've been in Auckland. Smile seems to be an expensive thing for them. Also the glass/windows at the pool area look like they haven't been cleaned in a while as well as everything in our room. If only I had a Glass Cleaner spray and microfabric, it would be satisfying to make it nice and shiny lol. The bar fridge was also struggles to open and the aircon makes an annoying sound! Was about to mention it to the front desk upon checkout but she didnt even bother to ask me how's my stay. Reception people dont really feel welcoming to be honest! Regardless of this, we still enjoyed our stay and actually looking into booking again for Valentines but this time we will stay longer just to have longer time in the pool :)

Our stay at The Grand by SkyCity was perfect. We were a family group of 3 adults (parents and grown-up daughter) sharing a twin room with 2 double beds. The room was immaculate with a very smart bathroom with bath and a separate shower. We were on the 18th floor and had a good view of the nearby blocks and the street below. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a huge range of hot and cold buffet options. There is one thing that made our stay at The Grand by SkyCity exceptional though and that is the fact that the hotel kindly let us check in to our room at 7.30am when we arrived from the airport, even though the official check in time was 3.00pm. That made a huge difference as we were able to shower and change in your fresh clothes after 30 hours of travel from the UK and we were very grateful.

the room was absolutely GORGEOUS. The hotel as well had so much atmosphere and culture with the restaurants and breakfast buffet. You really are getting your moneys worth staying here especially if you're looking for that boujee girls weekend kinda experience. When we walked in we were just SHOCKED with the beauty of the hotel it was absolutely beautiful! location is really good too and its easy access for ubers as well HAHAH nah a great place honestly!

just people that were staying there were disruptive in the lobbies and hallways on our floor but thats obviously not the hotels fault haha so nothing bad hotel wise, just people wise haha :)

The hotel is very centrally located in Auckland city centre, within walking distance of many attractions, shops and restaurants. My room was very quiet despite the location. Staff were very helpful and attentive and assisted me with my luggage on my check in and check out. The attractions Weta Workshop and the All Blacks experience were also located within the same building.

The wifi switched off in the lifts so I had to log in again when I reached the lobby. However, the coverage was very good and I was able to log in without any issues.

Excellent customer service throughout 👏. Loved the pool, spa, and gym 🏋️‍♀️. Great breakfast selection at the Terrance restaurant. The location was central and close to everything. Comfortable bed and total blackout room when sleeping and excellent noise canceling. It is well recommended, and I will definitely be returning to stay.

We stayed at the Grand and I found that the toilet space is quite small. Our room wasn't cleaned properly, the floor was dirty, the kettle and cups were dusty, and the room smelt uncleaned. Our room view was of other building roofs, which was a bit sad to see. We know for next time to request a room with actual city views. Everything else was great. Just the cleaning of the room and the view.

Thank you so much to the team for making my birthday weekend one to remember and so special. We had a complimentary room upgrade to a Harbour View room which was amazing. There was 2x small bottles of champagne waiting in the room upon check in and even a birthday card too. It was the best weekend and our first weekend away in 4 years. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy and bed was super comfy. We had dinner at the Metita restaurant down in the lobby and it was insane, the best food I think I have ever eaten! I can't wait to come back again already :) THANK YOU!
