That the owner upgraded our room after my previous review expressing that I was not happy about the Studio which was a very small room with a bowl for a sink to wash your dishes, a small TV, and if I'd known that this accommodation housed transitional/emergency housing tenants I would not have booked a room. However, the owner clarified that they do not accommodate transitional/emergency housing. The owner followed up with us the morning we checked out to see if we were satisfied with our stay. And it was much better in the larger room with seperate kitchen.

There wasn't anything we didn't like this time.

Great communication, very helpful and went to extra lengths to accommodate my needs. Value for money. I stayed in two different rooms a week apart and can say the beds were the most comfortable motel beds I've ever slept in.

For the price paid it was more than good enough. If I had one thing I would change, it would be the fixed shower head. Would much prefer an adjustable shower head.

Clean tidy rooms with everything I needed. Just around the corner from Ozanam House and down the road from the hospital made it the perfect location. Good size, comfy bed and it was great having a desk as well as a little patio out the back with a table and chairs. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The only downside was no sink for washing dishes (have to use the bathroom) and there was a knock in the pipes when using hot water.

It was convenient to where I needed to be and sufficient for what I required. Reception people friendly and helpful.

Slightly noisy neighbours arrived with door banging etc however realise that's what happens when you're not at home - some people just do not think about the sounds they are making and it can happen everywhere and anywhere! It wasn't excessive noise and it was for a short period of time.

The staff were friendly it was so clean totally enjoyed it it was close to majority of where I had to visit truly enjoyed the experience the owner was so welcoming and there facilities had more or less everything you needed I would definitely go back there loved it

That I didn't stay longer

Allen was so accommodating to our needs as our family had to make a dash to Palmerston North Hospital late. The unit was warm & comfortable. The beds were a bit short for the 6 ft family members but they made it work. We had everything we needed for our stay. Location was great.

We loved our stay here! Place was clean and tidy (although felt a bit dated) but the staff were so lovely it made up for it! Unfortunately we did have some annoying farmers in the room next to us who kept taking our park but that wasn't the motels fault. Room was perfect for us with our new bubba and toddler :) Location was great with a fantastic cafe next door

We really enjoyed staying at Aztec Motel. Damon is super friendly and knowledgable about Palmy. The motel's location is quite central in that it's a quick drive into the centre of town. There's a great fish n chips place just up from the motel too. No problems with parking and there's a coin laundry room if you need it. The room was super clean and it was spacious with everything that you need. The pool / outdoor Picnic area is neat, but we couldn't make use of it because it was raining during our whole stay.

The king size bed was very comfortable! One of the better ones we have stayed in. Heat pump was affective and quiet. Everything was clean and tidy. We had all we needed for a quick overnight stay.

Shower had good pressure but is fixed to the wall so quite low on taller people.

The location and price were great for our purpose.
