We spent only 3 nights in this property and wished we stayed longer. It felt very homey and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Waking up to the view from the glass window was the highlight of my day. We also had a minor mishap with the gas fireplace and I was amazed with how fast the team responded! They also sent emails to ensure we had a good stay. A+ for customer service, team! Thank you!

The only minor thing I can think of is the distance from the city center. This will not be an issue if you brought a car with you, and if the weather made it easier to walk from the property to the city (we booked during winter and it was too cold).

Location of property was about 4mins drive to Town and 8mins to Airport. Didn't need to travel too far when going either direction. The Rooms had full windows to looks out, fantastic views. Toilets had heated flooring system which was not expected. Full Kitchen with all that we needed and even offers a rice cooker. Washing machine + dryer all provided. Perfect for big family and enough spaces for kids to be walking around unlike being restricted in a smaller hotel room. Excellent communication with the host agent and responded very quickly. Really enjoyed the stay.

Nothing much I could complain but would only point out Internet speed dropped a lot (lagging) when trying to use our electronic devices in bottom floor bedrooms. The living area where internet router was located and upstairs bedroom had no problem. A Wifi extender would most likely resolve this issue.

Just got back from an AMAZING family trip to Queenstown and have to rave about Villa de Lago! 🙌 Absolutely perfect for our family – the 3-bedroom villa gave us tons of space. But the VIEWS... wow! 😍 Waking up to stunning lake and mountain vistas every morning was pure magic. ✨ Plus, it was super convenient, less than a 15-min drive to town for all the action. The bedroom is in upper floor and underground which may not suitable for elders. The bathroom should has shower area for every room not bath tub.

Everything was well prepared and kitchen was stocked with cutlery and cookware. Highlight is the stunning view with large balcony doors and lovely to sit outside to soak in the scenery. Short drive to town center. Easy check-in process with clear directions and details from management team. Prompt response and assistance from professional staff during stay.

There are stairs leading down to the apartment and wasn’t an issue for us. However, for guests with mobility concerns or heavy luggage pls take note.

The villa had a fantastic, unobstructed view across the lake to the mountains from the living room and bedrooms. It was a joy waking up to the sunrise each morning from the balconies. The villa was well laid out and the vaulted ceilings in the living area gave a greater overall sense of volume and spaciousness. It was an easy walk into town and so easy to access from the track below the complex. The heated towel rails and underfloor heating in the bathrooms were extremely pleasant, especially when waking up on such cold, chilly mornings. The bedding was extremely warm and cosy. The villa was extremely quiet. We never heard our neighbours or any other outside noises. The cleaning was exceptional. It felt like our villa was cleaned and the towels changed much more regularly than what was written up in the guest guidebook. The staff were so attentive, friendly and quick to fix anything that wasn’t working properly.

The fireplace in the living room was temperamental at times and would not ignite. It would have been nice to have had a sound system in the living area as we were not TV watchers and prefer to listen to music. We did find that the clock radio from the main bedroom had an iPhone dock so that was a good substitute. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen and found the drawers were quite difficult to close. They kept popping out when trying to push them closed.

We loved just about everything with the property, The location was just perfect, very conveniently just outside of Queenstown. Great view, very clean and very responsive staff if you had questions!

The only things that we somewhat disliked was the driveway access, the stairs down to our room with our big suitcase and the sensitive fire alarms. But we wouldn’t have let that turn us off. We did love the accommodation.

Beautiful views and an easy walk along the river to Queenstown

The fireplace fan was noisey and had difficulty in starting especially when coming back from dinner at night. Also there is renovation going on at the apartment above and getting woken up at 7.30am was a bit disappointing but having an Airbnb ourselves we understand but this could be a problem for future guests

Location and the villa

Pillows were too big and hard, couldn’t find the villa 7 easily as there were no instructions when we entered the drive through. Car was parked at the blue fence so couldn’t see the stairs and had to go down the hill and then climb stairs with the luggage. Even after climbing the stair we couldn’t see the villa number as it was written next to the main door that too very small “7” was written.

We stayed for 14 nights on our honeymoon The location was perfect, easy access and description/directions easy to follow on self service check in via lockbox to get into our suite. Easy to get into the centre of Queenstown walking distance approx 30 mins along the lake side or 5 min drive It was a relaxing vibe overlooking the lake and mountains, peaceful- little to no noise place looks exactly like the pictures on line The customer service was attentive and prompt to respond to requests or questions via email. Overall we enjoyed our stay, will definitely come back to stay and would recommend

Our kitchen and dishes/ utensils were dirty - prompt to respond to my concern and offered to clean this as soon as possible - so the negative turned to a positive outcome

Absolutely stunning location. We stayed for 7 nights. Suite was clean, tidy and comfortable and we enjoyed waking up to the view of the mountains. Staff were so informative and communication was excellent. Beautiful walks into town or only a short uber ride into the heart of Queenstown. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!!
