The view was very good. Beds comfy. Location great as we could walk to where we were going.l

The door into the shower at the bottom was misaligned and the water went on to the floor and bath mat. The handwash, bodywash and shampoo were not user friendly, I had to push the bodywash 100 times to get an amount the size of half a teaspoon. Ended up taking it off the wall and pouring it out the top.

I had a very comfortable stay at Earnslaw Lodge. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and good linen. The location is good — just a short walk to the lakeside promenade, shops, and restaurants. The views over Lake Wakatipu from the property are beautiful, adding a special touch to the experience. Another practical bonus is the onsite laundrette, which was very convenient.

The motel itself is very dated. The interior decor and furniture have clearly seen better days, and it is obvious that much of it belongs to a bygone era. The overall feel inside is tired and not particularly inviting, which might put off those looking for a more modern or stylish atmosphere.

Had spacious ground floor studio kitchen. Gorgeous view. Could see more from common lounge area upstairs. Relaxed friendly management. Use of laundry available. Walking distance from gardens pier, eateries, etc. though uphill on return. Close to public "Orbus" stop as alternative. Only $2 with a Bee card so worth checking that out. Bathroom had heated towel racks and some bench space! Shower easy to operate (unless you are much shorter than me at 151 cm). Smoothe floor could be slippery for some.

Dryer No. 2 in laundry didn't dry at all well. (need 2 x $2 coins for that, also for wash -- manager can give change) Jeans esp. still quite wet. Manager provided clothes airer. Luckily had enough time. Iron only in laundry--I think only open 8am to 8pm. I missed having a vegetable peeler, also instructions for that model of Microwave. Kitchen had adequate single sink. dish washing supplies, small fridge, microwave & hot plates. Basic old cookware, electric fry pan & other cooker I didn't understand. Had no idea about operating the (oil?) heater on wall but didn't need it

Our 9 night stay at Earnslaw Lodge was perfect. The lodge is a little older, however the rooms are very warm, very clean and the beds are super comfy, the view of the lake from our room was also breathtaking. If you plan on skiing or snowboarding, theres ample space in the drying rooms downstairs to put you gear ready for the next day. Location is also great, just a short 10 min walk from town and ample parking on-site. Big thanks to Vicki for making us feel so welcome during our stay!

Owner as great Nothing too much trouble View was amazing and could park right outside Room was spacious , clean ,comfortable bed , great shower pressure and mirror in the bathroom In Queenstown this is great value for money!It was very clean and smelled lovely and clean in the room and location and view was great We attended a wedding in Queenstown so our Ezi rental car had a park right outside so we could go to Arrowtown and Wanaka and Ayrburn during the day and if we needed to get around Queenstown we just called Queenstown taxis who are super efficient Great value for money!Room 19 Kitchen view room!

Awesome location, with a balcony that had insane views of the lake and mountains which we loved, and parking was very convenient. We were 3 female travellers, and we felt very safe during our stay - the lodge was only accessible with an RFID tag and rooms were only accessible with a key. The room was comfy, alright size with normal amenities, very fuss-free and cosy, just nice for 3 people. The hotel was also very kind to accommodate our request to turn on the heaters prior to arrival. We also loved that it was within walking distance from the lake and a nearby park (around 5 minutes), I loved going for morning walks. It was a bit of a distance from town but walkable (around 20min walk, 5min drive) so it was not the closest but we were alright with this because we had a car.

We were not a fan of the shower - it was a single nozzle that sprayed in our face so it was not the best but we were grateful for the reliable hot water supply, especially in winter. The bathroom was clean and spacious though, which was a big plus. If you're not too fussed and on a short stay, it's no trouble at all.

A lovely spacious room with one of the most beautiful views on the planet! I woke up to extraordinary views of the lake and mountains and at bedtime it was a struggle to tear myself away from the sunsets and then the incredible night sky. Absolutely wonderful. The room itself was very comfortable and with an excellent shower. It had all the facilities I would expect. A very nice and unexpected touch was the electric blanket for those cooler nights. The owners were kind and welcoming, and I really could not have asked for more. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The room was large and well appointed. It was a great location with a bus stop almost directly out the front. The views of the lake were spectacular from my room and there was a balcony where you could sit and enjoy it. It was about a ten minute walk to central Queenstown and the parks and foreshore.

The staff gave the attitude that they weren't that interested which was a shame. Sadly, I felt the staff let the place down. Had they showed a bit more enthusiasm it would have been a perfect stay.

The location was about 15 minutes walk from town, so easy to get to food and other activities. It's also on the main road to the airport and ski fields so easy to get transport to these places. The view from our room was amazing. The room was quiet (at the back of the hotel not on the road) and warm and the beds were very comfy.

Only a very small complaint- the shower head was a little bit low pressure.

The location of the motel is in very prime spot, next to the lake. And the room is sufficiently big enough for a family of 3. And the view from the room was magnificent. This is the additional value for the motel. The owner Vicky is so friendly and helpful and welcomed us with the warmth of the heart. Her knowledge and guidance are additional gift with the property. Can strongly recommend this hotel for short- or long-term stay.
