Excellent location, and got a discounted rate through this site so even better value than usual. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I didn't get the breakfast, but the coffee from the breakfast bar/reception was excellent. As usual, all the rooms are very modern, with lots of power outlets and USB charging for phones and laptops. Still the best value for money in town.

This was my third or fourth time staying here now, I got another "no windows" room with the electric skylight, as standard. When booking on this site it was going to be a "free upgrade", but it was exactly the same as my last non upgraded room. The stainless steel shower base in my room was flexing and loudly popping when I was showering, which probably annoyed the hell out of whoever's room was below mine. And pack some adhesive black stickers or tape if you need a dark room to sleep, because there will be an incredibly bright blue standby LED on the TV directly facing you, and another one on the bathroom mirror.

The hotel is one of the cheapest in Wellington. I did not have high expectations. But the hotel is excellent . Good bed. Good shower. Comfortable room. Good service. And the price is good . What more could you want ? I saw a number of negative reviews, perhaps by people expecting a 5 star hotel after paying $150. Who knows. We had an excellent stay

All good

Excellent location and value for money. The room was clean, spacious and comfy.

The bathroom within the room is frosted glass which is not a problem, but the sliding door of the bathroom leaves about an inch of gap facing directly at the toilet which isn't ideal, I'd prefer not to lock eyes with anyone while using the toilet. It could also enhance security by installing a key card swipe for both the main entrance (after a certain time of night) and the main elevator in the lobby. The stair access has one, so the lift probably should too, seeing as there is no door person or permanent reception desk.

I was only staying for the one night so the room was perfect, perfect little bathroom, coffee and milk was just what i needed in the morning. lovely water pressure,

So the bed was totally firm, not very comfortable at all, was a bit tough to sleep consistantly. the breakfast options were very limited - a few options for cereals, and toast. that was it. $25 for cereal and toast? yeah nah mate i'll save my money next time. When ever i tried to call reception the phone instantly hung up, and when I was waiting for my lift home I heard the phone, it was on the lowest volume possible so no one was going to pick up even when i called.

Central location handy for everything. Comfortable bed. Self check-in was straight forward. Being able to stash our luggage on the last day was very helpful - morning checkout, evening flight.

Room lacked a microwave or some sort of mini-kitchen facility, which would have been useful. Frosted glass toilet/shower wall felt a bit weird - no sense of privacy. When the person ahead of us in the checkout queue asked about buses to the airport, the receptionist knew nothing. This should be basic hotel receptionist knowledge. I stepped in to answer the man's question - and my wife gave him a spare Snapper card she'd acquired!

The room decor is amazing - beautifully thought out. Bed was huge and comfy and we had the added bonus of a large window to look out. Huge TV that we wanted to watch but couldn't get it to work. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was handy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent!! Onsite parking is great and it even has a wee cafe on the ground floor.

Like many other guest reviews we couldn't get the TV to work - I would say I am fairly tech savvy but I couldn't cast from my phone to the TV and there are no Freeview TV channels available to watch. I followed the instructions and it said it was connected but I couldn't get it to cast. Screen mirroring is only available for iPhone not Android so that wasn't an option either - an easier TV set up would be preferable so guests can enjoy. The walls are VERY thin and the windows aren't double glazed - we could hear guests in the corridors and traffic on the street. The bathroom does not offer much privacy as the walls and door are frosted glass - if you're in the early stages of a relationship... I'd give this hotel a miss 🤭 However, for the cheap price I would stay here again!

The location of the microtel was perfect walking distances to most places within the city. Parking available on site with an extra cost. The rooms size was decently huge. The shower was amazing and one of the best I've used in a while.

I didn't like how it was focused on little interaction with staff. They have a heavy self check in and check out process rather than in person service. But I'm a person who likes a human service. So this may suit others. The bathroom door was glass and has huge gaps around it. As much as I may like my partner. I don't want them to hear or see a shadow of myself in the bathroom or vice versa.

The attic room with large sloping windows gave good light in the daytime and give a nice view of the sky at night (but remember to put the blinds down on sunny days while you're out). The wifi worked well. The bathroom/wetroom was spacious with good shampoos, etc. You can connect/cast your phone to the TV to share the screen. Not in the swanky part of the city, but there are still plenty of decent restaurants nearby. The out of hours access works well (but in my case the wrong code was sent, but a telephone call fixed that).

I kept banging my knees on the corners of the bed. The walls are very thin so conversations in the next room can disturb. The shower didn't drain well The decor was very dark Not enough hanging space - there's no cupboard, but the under-bed storage is useful

The room was surprisingly spacious, well laid out with plenty of room for unpacking or storing suitcases in the bed cubbies. The shower was really good pressure & I loved the LED mirror 😍 staff were really nice & welcoming and the location is good walking distance from the main streets & visitor spots.

Rooms are only partially serviced every 3 days (but you can ask staff for new towels or replacements where needed). In terms of security, there’s no after hours swipe access required (building and floors are accessible to anyone) but as long as you practice caution with locking your room door, you’ll be ok.
