We had a pleasant stay at Madeira Panoramico Hotel. The room was clean and we had an amazing view from our balcony, just like the pictures promised. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a shuttle service from monday to saturday to take you to the city center of Funchal. We wanted to expolore Funchal on Sunday, when the service is unavailable, but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel! It was very convenient. You can also walk to the city center (recommend), which takes around 30 minutes. I was celebrating my birthday during our stay at the hotel and when we came back after the whole day of exploring the island, there was a nice surpirse waiting for us (bottle of champagne), thank you!

We did not encounter anything inconvenient

The Hotel is a perfect place to overlook nearly everything, the city, the sea, the mountains, the name is “Panoramico” and so is the view, just wonderful. Our room got everything we needed, The breakfast also got everything and much much much more and all the hotel staff is super friendly 24/7. And don’t forget the staff cleaning everything all day long, they are doing an outstanding job, our compliments and thx for doing so. Yes the hotel is big and there are many people but it was not a problem for us at all. And yes we´ll come again for sure.

Please, to all the Germans if you do have breakfast on the terrasse, take your plates in or just return them after you finished your eating thx. If not … it sometimes feels like in a Hitchcock movie (“Die Vögel”) staring a lot of pigeons … Everywhere! … thx´s

From the very beginning of our arrival, we felt really welcomed here. Not only did we receive a room upgrade (which was fabulous by the way), but we also got a surprise in our room for our recent wedding. Thanks a lot for this! The room was absolutely perfect, clean and quiet, the beds were comfy. The view over the city and ocean was spectacular. We loved the culture programme which was different each evening, and guess what - all that was happening just under our windows and we were able to enjoy lovely concerts from our balcony! The breakfast was really nice and with lots of options. I must mention that the pools seemed clean and well-maintained which is quite important. We will definitely return here when we visit Madeira again!

You should add a little bit more equipment to the gym, it does not need several bicycles or treadmills - just some cable machine or heavier dumbbell set would come in handy. You should also extend the outdoor pool hours, the views from it would be unbelievable in the late night hours after the sunset.

O primeiro que impresiona son as vistas. Despois quero destacar a amabilidade e atención do persoal. Os servizos que ofrece o hotel son moi completos, incluída unha furgoneta que nos permite chegar e volver do centro da cidade. Se xa non queda sitio na furgoneta do hotel, a parada de autobús público está na mesma saída do hotel.

Insane ocean view, amazing pools, great gym facility and we had a car so easy to get around the island from there.

The key cards constantly magnetised and we had to get them fixed. Frustrating to go back to lobby again every time

Very friendly and helpful staff. Unusually good a la carte restaurant. Very good breakfast. Ample indoor and outdoor pool. Excellent courtesy bus to town. Excellent car hire service. Good cocktail bar and happy hour(s).

Lacked a guide to the hotel in the room. A clearer map of the layout was needed (labyrinthine building). Sauna and steam room were shut (disappointing).

Very tasty food at dinner, the meals didn't repeat in a week. The breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but it offered a lot of options for everyone. Very colourful garden, full of plants, trees, flowers, lovely terraces, pool, tennis field and wonderful views of Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. It also has a little library with books in different languages. We also got free parking. We definitely recommend this hotel, we really enjoyed our time here.

The room that we first received was small and a little bit old fashioned. We asked to change it and as soon as it was possible, we received a bigger and modern room.

we had a room with a sea view, its an unforgettable view of the Funchal city, every morning the sunset and every evening, when it gets dark, all the flashing lights of Funchal, its amazing. Special thanks to hotel staff for the room upgrade! The gym was great, big space and enough equipment. The inside pool warm and big enough to swim.

although the breakfast is plentiful, it's always the same food, lack of variety. Would have been great a bigger choice of products of non-animal origin on the breakfast table, but overall the breakfast is good! Everything else was great!

Friendly staff, great view, beautiful and clean facilities, nice entertainment, good food and wine, free parking and rides to the city centre.

Very difficult to approach the hotel on foot due to the hills and the hotel mini bus didn’t pass through my events venue, because it was considered to be close (about 25’ on foot but like climbing). So I had to either rent a car or take a taxi.

The views are amazing and the staff is brilliant. We stayed in room 201 which had a balcony on 2 sides of the building The breakfast is plentiful and regularly restocked. Omelettes are made to order while you watch. It was my husband’s birthday and they surprised him with a bottle of bubble in the room.

The outdoor pool area loses the sun after 4pm. Not really their fault!
