Boa Nova is incredibly great value. Clean, comfortable and practical. The care taker, Maria, will go out of her way to help when required.

Yes, the drains smell (as mentioned in many reviews) but the seasoned traveller will note that this is a city wide problem and not unique to this property. It is manageable

It was easy to find and the check in was easy too. We were greeted by Maria, the good soul of the house, who showed us everything around. The view on the roof terrace is magnificent!! The room has everything you need for your stay and it was very clean. We felt very comfortable. You can find restaurants, a bakery and little corner shops around. The metro station is pretty near too. A big thank you to Maria, who helped us immediately in a small emergency situation!!!

This is third time we stay at BN Ghouse. Everything was on high possible level. The host was very helpful. We loved the communal space where we can do our laundry and eat breakfast.

Our bathroom smelled like sewerage and the shower had some mold. Bathroom cleanliness can be improved and fresh change of towels everyday.

The room was basic but pleasant with a lovely balcony with a fantastic view. Upstairs kitchen & space was great. Quiet & peaceful but fairly good location! Was perfect for short trip with friend.

The only potential negative was the fact Maria does not speak english and so upon arrival this was a little confusing and difficult, which we did not expect. That being said all was quickly resolved within the hour or so and we were able to access our room. Maria is very lovely and helpful, it’s just the language barrier.

The location is near downtown, 7 minutes by uber and also from the airport. Uber in Lisbon is cheap. The room was spacious and smells fresh. The beds were comfortable. The pillows and blankets are good. The balcony has a great view. The bathroom was clean. The staff were accommodating. They allowed us to extend our check out for an hour, just inform them the day before.

Carlos, the host was very polite. He aproved earliest check in for us. Location is great, so close to city centre when you go down, is not problem because you go down to hill. View from the roof terace is fabules. The building is a charming Portuguese architecture.

Perfect location for old town Lisbon. Hostess just lovely. Our room perfect. Lovely balcony. Beds really comfortable and bathroom great. Has really good kitchen and washing machine.

Nothing really. One night noisy people staying at guesthouse. But quiet the next night.

Brilliant location in an older quarter of Lisbon but close to some great eateries with it on the top of the hill and other amenities like supermarket, metro, etc. The Religious Order heritage of the guesthouse and the communication for the meeting with the butler to check in really enriched the experience.

TV and fridge are in shared fourth floor amenity but this was not really an issue. Being at top of hill walking back at end of a sightseeing day could be a challenge for we aged.
