I'm not sure I can write enough good things about this place. It was the standout accommodation of our trip to several different cities in Italy. The staff was extremely responsive to all questions in advance. They were overly accommodating with every request, and the room itself was just BEAUTIFUL. Large, roomy, new, updated, expertly decorated, and the bathroom was incredibly nice. I didn't want to leave, and we were unfortunately only there for one night. The location was excellent and right in the center of everything. Lots of safety measures and security. The bed was large and comfortable, Everything was superbly clean and new looking. But the staff is what truly made this place awesome. The morning we were supposed to catch a train for Venice, there was a taxi strike, and we could not get a taxi no matter how much they called and/or we tried. With 20 minutes to go, we decided we were going to have to run the one mile to the station with all four of our bags. The gentleman at the desk basically told us absolutely not, and he took my heavy bags for me, and proceeded to run through the cobblestone streets with us, eventually found a taxi along the way, flagged them down, and thankfully, spoke to them in Italian explaining the urgent situation. His kindness helped us to just barely make our train so we didn't lose $150 worth of train tickets, and we are eternally grateful! A standout experience for us in Italy.

Everything was perfect. Not a bad word I can say.

Location was excellent, rooms were exactly as described. Nicola and Anisa took care of all of our needs, when we made a couple of requests they were always very quick to make sure we were taken care of. We had the 2 bedroom apartment and it provided us with an area to watch TV and leisure around, and some space to put our laptops. Full kitchen setup was there if needed! Plus the washer was a huge plus.

We noticed some of the hallways were dark, when you pushed the button for the lights, they would come on but not for the proper amount of time. They should be on motion sensors and/or time on should be increased. We had the 2 bedroom apartment as I stated, in one bedroom there was a bathroom on the left. In my opinion that bathroom was way too small, the shower in that bathroom was unbelievably too small. Also the AC in that particular room wasn't up to our standards.

Renascentia's location was so convenient and more central than we had thought. You can reach the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi all within a few minutes from the hotel on foot. Considering how central it is, it was a relief that it was quiet in our room (although for such a city it is already surprising that Florence isn't very noisy). The room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed making use of the hydrobath. The breakfast was lovely and varied. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful. And I also have to give a thumbs up to the housekeeping staff; the room was so tidy and everything was ordered neatly each day when we returned to the hotel.

There was nothing that I disliked enough to remember or note down. I would recommend Renascentia in a heartbeat for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Florence.

We booked both an apartment and a hotel room. The following review is for the two-bedroom apartment. Location was dead center of everything. Florence is a very walkable city of course. Only downside to the location is the crowds that form outside for the sandwich shops. The apartment was large and cozy. It did have a few downsides that prevents us from booking this apartment again. First, the bathroom for the main bedroom is actually up a set of very steep stairs. Shower itself is also small but typical for Italy. It could use better lighting to help with makeup and such. The bathroom for the second bedroom is located on the far side of the apartment next to the kitchen. Both bedrooms only had pedestal sinks, so if you daughters that need space for makeup, be aware. :) My wife and daughters had to do their makeup at the dining room table. The living room and kitchen area had tons of space. Couch was surprisingly comfortable. The large TV is a smart TV (Netflix, Amazon, etc) which was a plus for rainy nights. Since there is no housekeeping, you have to ask for more towels constantly plus take your own trash out. No extra trash bags were provided in the apartment. Be aware, you had to drop the trash in external cans about 2 blocks away. Overall Positives: Location; friendly staff; large space. Overall Negatives: Bathroom inconveniences; no housekeeping; no staff after hours; lighting in the hallways was a nuisance and timers were way too short before they turned off; beds were uncomfortable and pillows are thin compared to some other places. If we stay at this hotel again with our kids and needed an apartment, we would try to book the other one or the penthouse.

See my overall comments about the experience. I wish the description of the apartment layout and bathrooms was clearer.

Phenomenal staff! They were so accommodating and responsive. They even provided us a bottle of Prosecco and two cupcakes to celebrate my husband and my anniversary and our twins’ 22nd birthday. We had the Penthouse apartment. AMAZING view of the Duomo. The terrace is small but the sights are truly spectacular! The main floor bathroom was gorgeous! Like out of a magazine. Good water pressure and temps and luxurious robes, towels and slippers. So much space - plenty of room to spread out. Large kitchen. A lift was available (slow but did the job) to the apartment. Definitely would stay here again if we are very back in Florence!

Loved the property but would’ve loved to have more sink countertop space for makeup and getting ready - definitely didn’t impact our stay but wouldn’t been nice. The loft is what they consider a second bedroom. You’ll hear everything from the living room so be aware but it worked out just fine for our family.

Excellent stay. Staff exceeded expectations. They were very thoughtful and kind and quite accommodating. Due to travel changes, we arrived one hour past the check in time and they accommodated us. We also departed quite early and they offered a prepared breakfast basket the evening before so we could take it with us; this was kind and appreciated as we had a long travel day ahead. The apartment was spotless and offered a great mix of modern while keeping with the charm we love. We especially loved having a washer. I would recommend cleaning supplies in the kitchen and towels/rags so guests could tidy up during their stay. The beds were a little firm for us, but we got used to them. We couldn't figure out the lift situation since you need a card for that, so we just used the stairs. The apartments are on 1/2 floors and the stairs may be a little steep for some, so mobility is a consideration. Great location, walk to everything. Not a fan of the auto (main)door-close as non-guests could easily come in after you, this didn't happen to us, but something to be aware of. All in all, 9/10 for us and we would definitely return.

Auto-close door=safety concern. Unclear instructions for lift. Lack of cleaning supplies to tidy up counters. No napkins or disposable towels for cleaning or eating. The shower drain was not connected and was a trip hazard. Shower floors and all bathroom floors very slippery=safety concern. No ledge in shower to place own supplies, we had to lay everything on the floor of the shower which was not convenient.

The room was Really Nice. The ceilings were very tall. The bathroom shower was nice too. Above all, we thought that ADULTS ONLY RENASCENTIA went the extra mile, time and time again, to make our experience better, whether it was extra water, comfy slippers, or even a hand-annotated map suggesting additional sites to visit during our time in Florence. We traveled as a family of five adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was quiet, the beds were nice, and we all felt really well rested (no one was relegated to a sofa-bed).

The WiFi is not great, especially in the largest bedroom.

Everything about Renascentia was beyond exceptional. It was by far one of the best experiences that I have ever had staying in a hotel/bed and breakfast and I will absolutely come back here when visiting Florence again. To start, the breakfast was phenomenal and had a variety of options! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating - our train was delayed by 3 hours to get to Florence, and one of the staff members stayed a little past 7 to make sure we could check in by their check in time. He thoroughly explained how to use everything, which was very helpful for our stay and other hotels in Italy (which none of the hotel or staff members did anywhere else we have stayed). The room was exactly as pictured and the AC WORKED WELL, which was very important for us. All of the staff members were incredibly friendly and answered any questions that we had. Overall, anyone staying here will have a wonderful time!

Everything was perfect and exceeded expectations

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Renascentia. The location is perfect, just minutes from the Duomo and other attractions. The rooms are very clean with spa bathtubs for relaxation after walking all over Florence. On the last day we moved to the Penthouse suite and the views of the city from the balcony are breathtaking. The staff members are exceptionally charming, attentive to all your needs and they go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast included is very good. We had an early start on one of the mornings, and they opened breakfast early for us. Another morning, we had an early train to Rome, and they created a to-go bag of breakfast goodies for us. Shout out to Nick and Camila and others to make our stay one to remember. I hope to be back soon!
