Excellent location for exploring Sao Miguel island. View from the room is stunning. It's last building before cliffs and ocean. Lodge and rooms are very modern and facility is super clean in general. In room you have a small kitchenette and for us it was enough, making breakfast and not too complicated things. You have small pool in garden (not heated but at least in July, water was definitely warm enough). Also possibility to grill/have barbecue. Staff was very friendly and communication worked like a charm. 5 minutes by car to bigger super market and gas station. Best beach in Sao Miguel (St. Barbara) approx. 15 minutes by car.

Nothing to complain, we had everything we needed.

The location! If the views don't make you speechless, there's something wrong with you. The cliffs, the ocan, the light and the sound of the waves would compensate for any shortcomings of the apartment, if there were any. It's perfectly located on the spectacular north coast of sao miguel, you can start a beautiful hike directly from there. The apartment is well and beautifully equipped, only a deckchair on the terrace and a coffee table for the sofa would be a great addition.

Don't forget to close the terrace door at night and when you leave for the day. If it starts raining (it's the azores, so it most probably will rain), the wind will blow the rain dtraight into your room.

A Perfect Stay with Breathtaking Ocean Views! I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Boca Negra apartment! The view of the ocean was simply breathtaking—waking up to the sight and sound of the waves was an unforgettable experience. The apartment itself was beautifully designed, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. What made my visit even more special was the incredibly warm and welcoming staff. They were always ready to help (laudry we asked for the last-minute smells like heaven 😍 ) I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning views and exceptional service. I would love to return!

The apartment was very nice and clean. The terrace had a beautiful view on the ocean protected by window shields, which was the perfect location to enjoy a calm breakfast or a drink at sunset. Breakfast option is available but decided to not have the service. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hairdryer and big towels. Towels for the swimming pool were provided too. The bed was big and comfortable. The swimming pool and the terrace are lovely to chill after a day of going around the island. Staff was friendly and helpful and provided all the information via text. There are some cards of restaurants available in the hall in case you need suggestions but we also cooked in the kitchen one night: very helpful to have the small bags of olive oil, vinaigrette, pepper and salt as well as the Microwave and the toaster. A car is needed.

We arrived late and we had just a small problem with one of the lockers since in the text was missing a "#" at the end of the code number but we managed to solve it without needing to call them.

Had a great stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location right by the ocean was perfect for enjoying beautiful coastal walks. The free bikes were a nice bonus. The internet was reliable, which I appreciated for working remotely. Overall, a lovely spot for a relaxing seaside getaway that’s a quick 15 minute taxi from the airport.

Being so close to the water in the nature comes with a few flies—some window netting would have helped a lot. The kitchenette was also a bit tricky to use and clean, but overall, it’s a charming spot for a seaside escape!

I chose Sao Vicente Lodge near Capelas to explore the western part of the island and to have somewhere tranquil to return to every day. In fact, I arrived a bit frazzled on my first day as I could not pair my phone GPS with the car and had a difficult time getting around the first day of the car rental, and I was met with a hug from the staff who could feel my frustration. After a day, I settled in and enjoyed the walking trail that passes right front of the property with beautiful views. In fact, the property provides the most comprehensive hiking map you will ever find on paper for the entire island. I immensely enjoyed my view over the next few days after my day trips and left a different person than I had arrived (I did eventually figure out the GPS). The unit itself was tastefully decorated with everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette is tiny but workable for small meals. The staff were top notch, so welcoming and helpful.

A large modern place, a very comfortable bed, nice shower, right by the ocean. The patio view, nice walkway to the park. Would be great with a bit more effort.

The rooftop had no adequate seating or tables so we couldn't really use it. The yard was used by a family with preteen kids as a personal soccer field until 9.30, so we couldn't enjoy sitting outside. Not blaming the property, but there should be clearly stated rules on the common areas usage.

The property is absolutely amazing, we loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the beautiful view after a busy day. Was handy to have own little kitchenette especially with 2 little kids. Beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly. Swimming pool is big enough and looked clean, even though we didn’t use it, preferred the beach. For the beach/swimming pool the hotel provides towels. So no need to bring with you.

We have stayed for a week, 1 night at the biggest and most beautiful room where on the kitchen were a lot of ants. Luckily after that we moved to another smaller room, where were no ants. In the next 6 days no one came to clean the room or change the towels. That was strange for that type of hotel and the biggest minus. I also was missing a lot the clothes dryer rack, as with 4 people after beach to dry it all on the chairs on the balcony is impossible quick enough. And then you have no place to sit.

The place has an amazing view over the ocean: the only flaw in my opinion was the external glass of the terrace, useful to protect from the wind, but which disturbed the view a little. it would have been beautiful to have breakfast on the terrace but unfortunately the weather was uncertain. Kitchen was very well equipped :)

The bathroom had no windows, which increased the humidity problem in the room, which I solved by using AC in heating mode.

Great location looking at the sea. Clean and modern rooms. Lots of windows and light in the room. Huge terrace with great view. Lovely place.

There were high winds (60 km/h or 40 miles/h) all night since the place is overlooking the sea there was lots of wind noise. We couldn't use the terrace because of this and the chairs fell to the floor one by one during the evening with a lot of noise.
