Comfortable beds, room service with impeccable cleaning. Superb breakfast Hotel staff very courteous and helpful. Automatic shoe cleaner in the 1st floor, helping a lot to give that finishing touch before I went to a symposium. This way, I could do all my activitives knowing without need to worry anything regarding the hotel.

Bathroom feels a bit awkward due to being completely visible from the room, but there are shutters so you can take a shower in privacy if you are travelling with friends.

Katia at breakfast was so wonderful! My husband and I were the first to arrive at breakfast and she was so lovely to talk to and helpful in getting us coffees and other things we might need. You have a real gem with her! The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable.

We really did not like the location. We chose this hotel as our friends were already staying here as part of a tour they were taking. They also were disappointed in the location. We were there on a Sunday and there was absolutely nothing open anywhere around us. Regardless of that - we would likely have wanted to go down to the lake and eat there - and this was a long walk. I think about .7 miles. We were quite capable of walking, but it just wasn't a location we liked. There are many hotels on the waterfront - or closer. They are probably not as new or modern but I would pick one of them the next time.

Staying at the hotel was a very pleasant experience. The room was large, clean and spacious. Well equipped. Delicious and varied breakfasts. Staff the nicest I have met - the lady serving breakfast (from Croatia) is simply AWESOME. Very good Wi-Fi, room cleaning to a high standard. Location good, close to the centre and the Lugano lake (about 500 m).

The only thing that could be improved was the drains in the bathroom - sometimes you could hear the sound of water running down, or water running slowly.

They give you a Lugano card, which provides a 20-30% discount to the funicular. It is not EU, so they do not photocopy your passport. Very kind staff. Tea making facility in the room.

Although you need to write “Hotel City Lugano” to the GPS, but on the hotel building you will find a “Hotel Garni” sign. I really did not understand the concept of this room: 2 separate beds, they can’t even be pushed into one (so this room is for colleagues?) – but smoked glass separates the bathroom from the beds (so it is for couples?). Too little sugar for the tea making facility. Registration wifi, and you need to reconnect again, it does not connect automatically. For me the biggest disappointment that there is no Milka chocolate at breakfast :) (it is the best part of the hotels in Corsica: chestnut jam at the breakfast in every hotel).

It’s very clean. A pleasant 10min. walk will bring you to the city center. Breakfast is delicious and staff are polite and helpful. Highly recommend. It’s not really a downside, yet something to consider if you are coming with a big car that you won’t be able to use the underground parking, which by the way is very well maintained, because of the turns. For this better to contact the hotel in advance to check if your car fit the requirements. Otherwise, we saw a couple of places outdoors too. We were able to use the underground parking.

Everything is very good and no complaints at all. The breakfast buffet is offering "everything" and particularly good coffee and orange juice - very nice and helpful lady serving us! The rooms and windows have excellent soundproofing. The babycot had the best beddings we ever got in a hotel, they were excellent. The location is central and very close to the University. 15min walk to the old town.

Good breakfast and the breakfast host Katia is exceptional - her passion and hospitality is charming. The room is clean. The mattress is comfortable and supportive. It’s quiet overall - we could sometimes hear when neighbours opened or shut their doors or people upstairs pulled their chairs. But nothing too disruptive and people are generally quite respectful. The stay comes with vouchers for free public transport in the city and discount for funicular rides and museums, which is very handy.

The bathroom could do with a bit more privacy

Really good and modern city hotel. Very central. Air conditioning. Staff was really nice and helpful.

Be aware that the access to their private parking is extremely tight and steep! A lower and/or broad car will not go through! I had to reverse a few times to get in and out. Just something to be aware of.

Super nice breakfast buffet and super friendly & helpful hotel staff. We stayed in a 3-person room - I can’t speak for the normal double bed but the sofa bed was a bit hard. Other than that everything was as nice as I expected!

Great Business Hotel in Lugano. Nice team, sympathical and professional. Nice room with all the expected comfort. Quite, good bed... Excellente breakfast.

Parking axxess for big cars... impossible !
