Excellent hotel in a location that allows for convenient trips to all parts of the island. The hotel has a heated swimming pool and an outstanding breakfast. Excellent service at the reception. I would like to mention Mrs. Catarina Ferraz who helped and created a pleasant and good atmosphere. Also the excellent service provided by Mrs. Nelia and Mrs. Rita are lovely.

The staff were super helpful and went out of their way to print my boarding passes for the next flight and the car rental voucher I needed. Breakfast was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. In fact, it was one of the best breakfasts I had since I've been travelling. For the Nutella lovers, they even had a massive bottle of Nutella! There were even a lot of healthy options such as seeds, fruits and nuts and some items for anyone with intolerances. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the hotel in general was always kept very clean. The gym and indoor pool area were always kept clean as well and they both had the view of the ocean. There was also a billiard and several chill areas around the hotel. We also ate for three consecutive days at the hotel's restaurant which served incredible food!

The location is not the ideal when the weather is bad. There are no other restaurants within walking distance and the drinks at the bar are overpriced.

Outside pool is beautiful. Restaurant/Bar area was large, clean, and very nice. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Lunch and Dinner selections were great and the food was excellent. Room was spacious, clean, and modern. Beds were very comfortable. Mini fridge stocked daily with water, alcohol, and snacks. Room also included a safe and robes for all 4 family members. Really enjoy the path/trail which I walked each morning(others jogged). It runs along the coast and eventually leads to Saint Pedro's hole and church. It also leads to natural pools(ocean).

Outside Pool was very cold for the middle of August and seemed to get colder as the day went on. Restaurant/Bar didn' t open until 11-12ish even though the pool is open and food isn't available until 1230-1. Better drinks (including non alcoholic) available only at the restaurant/bar and much more convenient while poolside. Bathroom glass enclosure is beautiful but the privacy screen is see-through depending on lighting and not ideal when room being used by entire family. Bath exhaust is operated by the hotel and not accessible within the room. Somewhat inconvenient but not the end of the world.

Incredible position by the ocean

The room was big and spacious. Anyway, for the level of the hotel, hot having in the bathroom a proper window or ventilation system is a big minus. The common space were nice. Anyway, for the capacity of the hotel, definitely under staffed in terms of space and personnel. The spa or the inner pool is small. The beds of the external pool were always all taken in the peak hours. I tried to get (also for paying) a late check out of a couple of hours, but the hotel not even try to areange it. I would have expected higher quality of service overall. I would not rate as 5 stars the service at all. Anyway, the structure and the position deserve the visit. Probably a little bit overpriced.

The staff at Hotel Pedras do Mar were exceptionally professional and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the great breakfast and the excellent quality of the hotel restaurant. The hotel is also situated in a lovely location. Plus, the bed deserves a special mention for being incredibly comfortable – honestly one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.

While we enjoyed our stay, there are areas for potential improvement to meet a 5-star European standard. The spa area, for instance, could be enhanced; we noticed only one small sauna (which had a partially broken door) and wished the pool water were warmer. There's definitely potential to upgrade spa facilities to a true 5-star level. Additionally, we found some of the general hotel equipment didn't fully align with the 5-star standard we anticipated.

Gorgeous modern oceanfront property with stunning views. The suite was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 4. We used most of their amenities - the indoor heated pool was lovely, restaurant had great food and service, spa services were very relaxing, breakfast spread was varied and delicious. The staff were very warm and friendly, they even arranged for an evening with a babysitter in the business center with kids activities like coloring. All in all a great place that we can't wait to return to!

The property was clean and the towels were luxurious. Ana Catarina at the front desk was wonderful when we had to solve a problem with our booking. So pleasant to deal with.

Other than the breakfast included, everything was an additional charge. Even Nespresso pods left in the room were charged if used. And of course anything taken from the mini. At was charged. Seems quite petty when we spent over $5000 for the week. I would have expected free coffee and soft drinks at least. The lounge closed at 10:30 which was a bit early.

The views are amazing, the breakfast was awesome, and the pool was refreshing. The majority of the staff was extremely nice, with an exception of one, but that is usually the way. We did not let it ruin our opinion of the remaining persons who were kind, funny and hospitable- We really enjoyed the location and staff at the hotel, it was very nice.

I did not like being told i would have to eat in the room and not on the patio where there was NO ONE else eating. I also wish Housekeeping was consistent, as we were missed a couple times although we'd put the sign up. Not a big deal, really.

We saved this for the last 4 days of our trip and we are so glad we did. Perfect place to relax. The amenities are fabulous. Beautiful infinity pool, great lounging area around the pool with wait service. A great bar and restaurant, access to natural pools, an indoor pool with a dry sauna, and steam room. There is a spa on the property which we used and was a great experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It is only a short 20-minute drive into Ponta Delgado, so you can easily access the main city if you want to try different restaurants and take in some of the night-life, and then come back and unwind at this beautiful property with plenty of parking; which sometimes is an issue when staying in Ponta Delgado. 100% recommend Pedras Do Mar. 10+++!!

Nothing. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Beautiful property, right on the water with an infinity pool. The ocean view rooms are definitely worth it! Easy to get to from PDL airport despite not being in a major town. Gym and indoor pool / sauna area is very nice. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice.

Food was not the best, dinner was overpriced. Definitely recommend making reservations outside! The spa also has very limited availability so book in advance. Staff doesn’t all speak English very well so keep that in mind. Only other thing is the photos make it seem like the property is beach front - it is not, the ocean below the property is just a bunch of rocks.
