Absolutely unforgettable stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel is spotless, cozy, and located right in the magical Old Town – surrounded by charming streets, great food, and vibrant life. Our room had a beautiful terrace overlooking a quaint, old cobblestone street – the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or relax in the evening while soaking in the authentic charm of the city. The room was cleaned every single day, and fresh sheets were provided daily – something we truly appreciated. But what truly made our stay special was the owner, Idomeneas. He went above and beyond to help us with everything, always kind, warm, and welcoming. We felt right at home, and if we ever return to Crete, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else!🩵

The accommodation was in the heart of the bustling old town, with everything just a short stroll away. Delicious breakfasts, which we opted for, were right on the waterfront with unparalleled views of the Venetian harbour. Many thanks to Idomeneas, the knowledgeable host, who had countless excellent tips for food and drink, as well as sightseeing / things to do.. He was always available and ready to help with any request.

If you're renting a car during your stay, parking options are limited and not available in the old town itself. Suggested by our host, we parked on local streets approx. 10 - 15 minute walk away.

The level of service is phenomenal. The proprietor was incredibly responsive to all of my questions (ranging from booking to arrival to restaurants and things to do to check out). He and his assistant both went out of their way to make sure we were continuously satisfied. I communicated primarily through WhatsApp. For our beach days, they offered us beach towels. We had brought some Turkish towels, but having beach towels was useful. They gave us bottles of water every day. The location is as good as it gets. We booked the top unit, which has two bedrooms, a sofa bed, two bathrooms, and a rooftop terrace. You can see the Old Venetian Harbor from the terrace. Turn down one street and you're right in the heart of the port. A couple of things to look for. There is no elevator. We were asked if we needed help (we didn't as we were able to carry our bags up). Also, there seems to be church bells that ring starting at bit past 7 am (when we stayed it was about 7:22 am oddly) and then again after 8 am. We were getting up early so this wasn't an issue, but maybe it would be for others.

Because this is in the Old Town area, parking can be challenging. There are a couple of free lots that are about a 15 minute walk. There are paid lots within 10 minute walks. We liked a Municipal lot nearby, but they are closed on Sundays and we left on a Sunday (so we had to park somewhere else). Other than that, we thought this was a perfect place to stay.

The hotel is right in the centre of the old town, a short walking distance to everything and just off one of the busier roads in Chania. We found it quiet during the day and even at night. We had the top floor apartment and sole use of the rooftop terrace, which we didn't really use as we were super comfy inside. The 2 rooms in the apartment are very spacious, well maintained and the air conditioning was good. It is one of the nicest places we've stayed at in Greece. Hanim was absolutely the most pleasant and kindest host. He gave us tips on where to visit and restaurant locations. The breakfast provided was only a short walk away at Pallas restaurant and was top notch.

Nothing to dislike at all.

The room was cleaned spotless every day, the bed was comfortable, and we loved the little balcony. There was a mini fridge with complimentary water and they also provide coffee and tea. There were also plenty of toiletries that were restocked each day. The room had everything we needed! The location is also fantastic, right in the heart of Old Town. We stayed during off season so the room was very quiet, but it doesn’t look like there are any bars or pubs nearby so it is probably fairly quiet in high season too. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and checked in with us each day to see how we were doing. He even gave us a little parting gift when we left. Our booking included breakfast which was at a restaurant just 4 minutes away by foot. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous.

The hotel is located in the historical centre of Chania, a stone's throw from the harbour and the busiest area of restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms have been recently renovated in a modern style and are clean and very comfortable. Despite being in the centre, the hotel is located in a side street and is quiet in the mornings with no noise. Breakfast is not provided directly by the hotel but through an external restaurant, which is of excellent quality. The real added value is Idomeneas and his team, who are always very kind, helpful and welcoming. One morning when we wanted to leave early for the beach, Idomeneas made sure to organise breakfast for us at another coffee shop. He also arranged the transfer to Balos for us and gave us plenty of tips on restaurants and places to see. It is always nice to see a young team that has passion for their work and cares about their customers. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing - everything was spotless

Hanim Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city of Chania, it has only 6 rooms. Our room was rather large and had all the needed amenities with a large and very comfortable bed ,What made a big difference compared to other places we have stayed, was the personal care of Idomeneas, the manager, we arrived in the evening and were received by his assistant with a welcome drink, the following day we met Idomeneas who briefed us on the city, where to go, where to eat and what to do, he took care of all of our needs, transfers and greeted us with a good-bye present. Altogether, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend staying in this excellent boutique hotel and especially meet Idomeneas

We had a wonderful experience in Chania, there is nothing that we can comment on this

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AT THE HANIM BOUTIQUE HOTEL!!! I visited Western Crete for the first time in May 2024 as a solo 65-year old female traveler. This 2 week trip was a long-anticipated vacation of a lifetime. Unfortunately, I arrived at the Hanim quite ill after staying at an inferior bedbug infested hotel. I had to go to an allergist twice and treat my painful infection with oral and topical medications throughput my stay. The owner and employees of the Other Hotel harassed me and threatened me with a lawsuit. I can't tell you how relieved I was as soon as I arrived at the beautiful Hanim Boutique Hotel. Meeting the owner, Idomeneas, and his staff, Vasilis and Manolina, felt like a reunion with long-lost friends. I understand that the hotel was just recently completely renovated so everything seemed brand new. My room at the Hanim was intelligently designed, modern and immaculate. The comfortable bed (with crisp white sheets and blankets) and fluffy towels were changed daily, espresso pods, bottled water, quality soaps and amenities were replenished daily, and the Raki was a nice touch. My balcony, overlooking a beautiful street and gorgeous restaurant, was conveniently located in the heart of Old Town Chania yet somehow private and quiet. My room even had a gorgeous, spotless, deep, modern tub (which I couldn’t enjoy because of my bedbug bites). The delicious full breakfast (included) - with fresh coffee, bacon, eggs and outrageously good yogurt with honey and walnuts - was provided by “To Artopolion,” a sweet bakery around the corner from the hotel. Idomeneas and his staff are true professionals. They are super gracious, generous with their time and availability, helpful with such things as transportation arrangements, and suggestions for restaurants, museums, tourist attractions and attentive to their guests’ general well-being. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Chania, I'll be lucky to stay at the Hanim Boutique Hotel again.

Loved everything!

Staying at Hanim Boutique Hotel was made truly memorable thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Idomeneas. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. His warm demeanor, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of the local area added so much to our experience in Crete. Whether it was offering thoughtful recommendations or taking time to chat with genuine care, Idomeneas was the kind of host who turns a great stay into an unforgettable one.

Idomeneas who’s is the owner, took care of us like family. He’s so gracious & friendly. He gave us excellent restaurant & destination recommendations daily. The hotel location is perfect within a few steps from the water fountain in the center of old town. The alley where the hotel is located is quaint & beautiful. Our suite is very roomy with all modern & new fixtures & appliances. The hotel receptionists are also so nice & friendly. We love this hotel!

As cars aren’t allowed in old town and the hotel is in the heart of old town, parking is challenging but not impossible. Rent small cars to navigate easier through tiny streets and for easier parking.
