Our greeting at the front desk check-in was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was delightful - very comfortable bed, sparkling bathroom, nice furnishings and both a coffee maker and hot water tea pot. Towels were fluffy and fresh. Don't miss the incredible breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, sliced meats, cheeses, breads, teas, coffee plus excellent service with a smile. The historic hotel has done a wonderful job of making the most of the building. Beautiful outdoor patio (when the weather is nice) to enjoy breakfast or a special dinner. The bar serves a wonderful choice of wine or drinks all day long. As to the location - AMAZING - 5 steps away from a stunning "Place du Capitole." Enjoy an aperitif in the late afternoon for exciting people watching. Toulouse deserves a multiple day visit - walking or eBike tours, historic buildings at every turn throughout the city centre - and don't miss the Jardin Royal and walks along the Garonne!

Historic hotel always has some worn looks, but Plaza Hotel Capitole does its' best to keep it to a minimum and offers a wonderful place to stay to enjoy Toulouse. Sit and read a book on their courtyard patio nearby at a cafe.

We had the most amazing experience during our stay at this hotel, and we truly can’t thank the team enough—especially Oliver. From the moment we arrived, stressed and exhausted after a long journey, Oliver made us feel cared for and supported. My husband is in a wheelchair and was in a lot of pain when we arrived, but Oliver immediately stepped in to help us with such kindness and professionalism. He assisted us with parking, making everything so much easier, and to our surprise and deep gratitude, he even arranged an upgrade for us to ensure we were more comfortable. His genuine care and thoughtfulness went far beyond what we ever expected. Oliver is an absolute gem—compassionate, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. He turned what started as a very difficult day into one filled with relief and comfort. People like Oliver make all the difference, and he truly deserves recognition for the exceptional service he provides. Thank you, Oliver, for everything—you made our stay unforgettable. P.S. ROOMS ARE BASIC BUT CLEAN, SPACIOUS AND ABOVE EVERYTHING... ITS IN AN AMAZING LOCATION. THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL, KIND AND INFORMATIVE. FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD AND THE VAR WAS WELL STOCKED AT ALL TIMES. THIS HOTEL COULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN A BETTER LOCATION - SO EVEN IF ITS NOT THE HIGHEST STAR-RATING, ITS A TOUCH BASIC.... DON'T BE PUT TOO, ITS AMAZING LOCATION IS WORTH IT.

MY WIFE WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THAT THE GYM WAS CLOSED FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF OUR STAY. THAT SAID, SHE FOUND THE CITY AN AMAZING PLACE TO RUN, AND DID SO DAILY.

We had a premium room with a view of the square. We have stayed in this hotel several times because it is right on the Place du Capitole, where we go to the opera. We get a discount on parking in the underground public garage. There is a refrigerator with complimentary bottled water and an ice dispenser on one floor. I lost a pair of glasses on one stay, and they found them and kept them for me until my next visit. Unlike many hotels nowadays, they have bathtubs and do provide bar soap in addition to shampoo and conditioner.

The only minor negative was somewhat low water pressure in the shower my last two visits. You can drive up to the door to deposit bags, but then you have to follow a very long, circuitous route to return to the garage entrance. This is not the hotel's fault, but it is a minor inconvenience.

The hotel has an excelent location. If you like to walk than everything is in just a few minutes distance. The public trasport is also close. The room was always clean and tidy, but the most important thing was that the air conditioner was functioning properly and it was very easy to regulate room temperature. The number was equiped with electronic kettle and safe. And I really enjoyed the breakfast.

I still do not understand why hotels use winter/warm blankets during the summer. Although the air conditioner was working perfectly it was still to hot for me during the night. One more thing that I did not like are those pillows with synthetic filling. If you are used to down filling pillow, than it rather hard to sleep. There was no mini-refrigerator, just an empty space where it should be.

An amazing location right in the historical centre of the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were able to open our French doors to let fresh air into the room which was lovely. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are a bit tired, but the reasonable price reflects this. Our bathroom door (Rm 317) was extremely squeaky and needs a good oiling. The room next to us also had a very squeaky bathroom door, which we heard quite clearly in our room.

Great location for all the main sights in Toulouse, the shops and restaurants/bars. Room was spacious and I like having an iron in my room. Reception staff were very good, very efficient and helpful.

The room and bathroom in particular would benefit from some modernisation. The member of staff clearing tables at breakfast was not very considerate of the guests still eating - he seemed to be in a hurry to clear the tables (noisily) and left a tray of dirty crockery next to me when I was eating. The breakfast itself, was good though and this was only a minor thing.

The hotel was a very good hotel, we only used it for room and did not eat there, but the location is fabulous. Walk out front door on to instant cafes, bars restaurants etc. 7 min walk to river and two wonderful basilicas. First time here and 100% will be back.

Nothing to dislike except the bar, which is not run by hotel, was empty most nights. Ordered drink from very pleasant barman only for head barman to interfere who then got order wrong and stormed off when I said I didn't ask for that, very unprofessional. But that was the only thing and I will be bacj

We have been loyal to this property for over twenty years. Yes. The hotel is dated, but we love it! The location could not be better and staff is truly exceptional. You step out the front door and into the heart of the city. Anything you need is within walking distance, and the square is typically buzzing with activity. Amazing shops and restaurants are everywhere with bars, bakeries, cafes, and a small grocery literally right across the street. Request a room with a view of the Capitol if possible and enjoy the beautiful city of Toulouse!

The Plaza Capitole is very centrally located in Toulouse - a city well worth spending some time in. We were a group of 12 friends cycling the Canal de la Garonne and the hotel was able to accommodate our bikes in a secure room they'd set aside for the purpose. All communications & requests prior to our arrival were responded to promptly and positively by the reception team, and they kindly assisted us with our bikes both on arrival & departure. Bedrooms & bathrooms were large, very clean & quiet, and had air con if needed (there was a mini heatwave during our time in the city!) The buffet breakfast was plentiful and good quality, there was a peaceful internal courtyard where you sit for a while with a coffee after breakfast, if you so chose. A very good experience overall, would defiinitely recommend.
