The staff were warm and friendly. Once they found out that it was my first time in Bristol and I was exploring. They gave valuable recommendations on places I could visit. I was allowed to lend the book 111 places to visit in Bristol from the reception. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable for the price. I had the room of 6 and the bunk beds reminded me of my undergraduate days😁. There are single beds if you don't do hotel vibes. They offered to upgrade me to a room of 4 when nobody else was joining my room in the first 4 hours after I arrived. I ended up staying put and other people arrived later that night. Apparently, I had arrived early. Check in is from 3pm, so arriving early isn't a problem. The facility had everything; common room, kitchen, the pub downstairs if you are feeling groovy, cocktail stand and a nice food stand. You get a 10% discount for everything in all of these stands. There are fridges for storing your food, so you can bring in food or buy some items to cook. The best part though was the people I met. People from everywhere, Europe, the UK, Africa. P.S: Do not book for this hostel on Hostelworld.com cos they would discriminate against you based on your nationality and not let you book it. The hotel itself is not like that. It is open and loving to people of all nationality. I had a swell time, extended my stay by one day. I would have extended more if I didn't have work. I almost didn't want to leave but adulthood has me in a chokehold. I will definitely be back there.

Can't really think of a thing that I don't like. Maybe the fact that I didn't get to experience the Thursday night event that is usually slated to happen. It wasn't holding this week that I attended because there is a valentine's hangout instead. I had to leave Friday morning though, so didn't get a chance to experience that either.

I really liked this hostel. The kitchen facilities were great, the common room good too. Everything was generally very clean. Met some really cool people! The staff were absolutely lovely. Location was superb - right near the main bus terminal, an easy walk to the city centre, and an easy bus to the main train station.

It was 30 degrees most days I was there and unfortunately the building didn't have air condition (too common in UK as they don't often get hot days), so the rooms were BOILING at night. The bar downstairs is also very loud until it shuts, which is 2am on Thurs-Sat -- I didn't mind and still slept fine, but just be aware if you don't like loud noise late at night.

Basic no frills hostel with character. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Stayed in female dorm for 3 nights. Room was adequate size, beds were comfy and everything seemed clean. There’s a kitchen area and laundry if you need. Towels can be rented for £1. Great location very close to bus station and Cabot circus shopping area. I think it’s a reasonable price for staying in central Bristol and would stay again

The rooms are directly above a pub and courtyard meaning it gets VERY busy (ie Noisy) at night, particularly weekends when the loud music went on until the early hours. If you’re looking for tranquility and calm this is NOT the place! Few small things - only 3 lockers in a 6 bed dorm. Bathroom mirrors need readjusting since they’re too high/small. Also a mirror in the showers would’ve been nice. Also, it’s an old building with steps/uneven floors so this could be a problem for people with mobility issues

I loved everything about this place. From the communication beforehand to the initial greet at the reception. Everything was top class for a backpacker hostel. Wonderful cheerful and friendly informative staff. Big spacious beds, lockers and coat hangers available. Plenty of plugs next to the bunks. I've stayed in a lot of hostels across the world, and this one was the best. I will definitely recommend to everyone staying in Bristol and will be excited to return! The Kitchen and common room, shower room and bathrooms were spotless, spacious and fully stocked.

Nothing, it was all AMAZING.

I stayed when it was really busy and even then everything ran smoothly, it was a decent stay, I don't usually stay in hostels, in fact I hadn't stayed in one in ages but it was a totally reasonable experience even for someone who is habituated to staying in hotels only. You have to be a bit of a solider mentally to do the whole 8 people in a room thing if you've never done that/haven't in a while but if you put on a happy face and just take it for what it is, it's really totally ok. In terms of the rest of the hostel, the food here in the courtyard is actually top notch, the Caribbean food hut does an excellent and authentic jerk chicken. the value is very much here if you're trying to keep budget capped for a specific trip.

The place was really comfortable and in a great area. It is in a well connected location and the staff were all super friendly, helpful, and nice. It was a great atmosphere to be able to have a pint and watch the Euros downstairs and was an easy bus ride from the train station.

The shared facilities (toilet and bathroom) weren't always the cleanest (by no fault of the staff). Lack of window screen and an aircon unit that didn't work meant we were at the mercy of the single window open to the courtyard during our entire stay for ventilation/any cool air during early summer. It wasn't particularly warm while we were there so it wasn't a massive inconvenience but worth noting.

Comfortable and clean beds, lovely staff that were happy to chat, facilities regularly cleaned, good location, very cool pub attached. Overall a great hostel that just needs some work on accessibility, I’m able bodied and even I strugged getting in and out of the toilets and into my room at points. It’s definitely more of a place for those that want to enjoy the nightlife as it gets loud at night also. If you like to party and don’t have any physical limitations I’d recommend this, the private rooms looked nice too

No curtains on bed, room got hot at night, heavy and noisy dorm door that was difficult to unlock and would slam closed from the weight of it, toilet doors were difficult to unlock and needed a super strong grip to twist, winding corridors and stairs to get in and out, never any tea or coffee in tin during my 4 night stay as advertised

Amazing place to stay. Great vibes, style and location to where I needed to be. I'll 100% stay here again! Loved it! We stayed in a room with it's own bathroom. Towels and bedding were supplied. Little tea and coffee station and a TV with streaming options came with the room. Everything was really clean. Lots of toilet roll supplied (which can be measly in some places.) All staff on site were amazing, everyone was really smiley and friendly, which added to the amazing vibes of this place. The artwork/graffiti were amazing, lots of details have been put in to making this place super unique, which I loved. It seems very popular with the locals/students, and the tourists were welcomed by the regulars, which was lovely to see.

I was disturbed twice during the night from a loud reception area (the room shared a wall with it.) I put the ear plugs in which the hostel supplied, which was a nice touch. I luckily took an eye mask, which came in handy as one set of lights stayed on in the bedroom despite us trying every switch ro turn it off haha. Those minor things didn't put me off and we loved our stay 😁

I've stayed at The Full Moon on a couple of occasions now, one was just an overnight stay, the most recent was for 3 nights. The staff are always super friendly, and very welcoming. If you have any questions or concerns, they are available 24/7 and happy to assist however they can. I've booked a bed in an all female dorm room, and have booked a private room, both rooms have been very clean, with lovely artwork adorned on the walls. The Garden Room (Private double room) has been my favourite room so far! 10/10 would recommend The Full Moon for short or long stays!

Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Food/drink are available right outside or in the bar downstairs. Location is pretty good for an easy walk to the main attractions. A bit longer of a walk to the train station.

Room can be a little noisy or hot in the summer, so bring some earplugs etc as per usual. More solo-traveler activities are always appreciated.
