Genuinely helpful, efficient and friendly staff. Tastefully decorated bedroom and comfy bed. Meals cooked ie dinner and breakfast cooked to perfection...thank you kitchen brigade. Cool choice of music playing in restaurant btw. Highly recommended and I'd happily return.
I liked everything about my stay albeit only one night...minor concern I'd have would be around sufficient, in number, of parking spaces. I arrived at 5pm ish on a Monday evening...I was able to park almost at front door. The above comment should not detract from the great experience I enjoyed. Thank you.

Our room was very compact and on figuring out moving the chair under the writing table to another position in the room we were able to open one 23 kg suitcase and have it stored open under the table and the other to its left making for a safe walking passage. There was a menu in the room for alcoholic beverages ( see two sided menu in photos). We were allowed to use the wheelchair access lift (400 kg max. Rating) to move our heavy large suitcases up to the second floor as our knees aren’t what they used to be; a welcome surprise. The bathroom towels were very large and thirsty able to dry us off quickly. The pump action soap in the shower and sink were adequate. Breakfast room was well appointed ( we didn’t have dinner there) ( see photo) with a great selection of cereals, pasteries, yoghurts ( never had Toffee flavoured before). We thought this was it until the waiter presented the hot menu ( see menu) Great selection, plentiful and tasty. Grilled Kippers filled me up for the day ahead.
Nothing to mention.

- The location, an attractive Victorian suburb on Deeside, slightly set back from the main road into Aberdeen, with shops and cafés a 100 yards or so away and a bus stop forthe city/Deeside right outside; - The quirky but welcome lift; - The staff - young, professional, friendly, in good number and very efficient; - The food (and I'm picky!) - great variety; - The decor and ambience of the public rooms; - The amount of cupboard space in the bedroom; - A bath as well as shower (over-bath); - Bright airy bathroom; -Super-efficient, own-switch, instant on/off extractor fan in bathroom; - The small and cosy attached pub!
- A blackout curtain in the bedroom is essential in a Scottish summer, but was lacking; - The bathroom sink had seen better days (reported); - The bedroom window-cum-balcony-door was past its prime (but the design of it had a certain old-fashioned attractiveness) (Room 14); - No shelving for toiletries in the bathroom; - Bedside lamps too dim to read by.

This is a really good hotel, just outside of the city and en route along Deeside. The staff are very helpful. The bedroom was very spacious, spotless and with a beautiful extra large bed. Both bedding and towels are high quality. The bathroom was spotless with a great power shower. The room had 2 lovely large windows and lighting also was very good. Breakfast was included, was plentiful and cooked breakfasts were to order.

Very good hotel with excellent breakfast options, staff were very helpful and great service provided. Room was spacious with decent bathroom. Came back one evening on a hot day to find staff had turned on air conditioning in room. Great location on edge of town but close enough to walk to shops nearby. Modestly priced compared to other areas in Scotland.
Parking available outside but is limited if hotel is busy.

Our room was cosy and comfortable. I requested an extra mirror at reception. By the time we got back up to our room, it was there. Shout out to the ladies on housekeeping, excellent! Breakfast was well cooked and delicious with a good choice. All the staff were helpful and courteous and went out of their way to help with anything We also booked in for a meal in the evening with relatives. Superb!
Only being able to stay a few days!

The breakfast was very good especially the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. There was a good choice on the menu for the evening meal, and the food was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom spacious with a large flat screen TV.
The bedroom was tired looking and a bit shabby with the wallpaper peeling off in one corner. We did feel we were up in the attic with the sloping ceilings and velux windows.

On the whole the hotel was good and matched the costs. The room was a little tired, the bed was very comfortable, the wardrobe doors were ready to come off, the bathroom a bit cold unless the radiator was fired up, and the shower power weak and went from hot to cold. Breakfast could have more fruit and healthy options. The coffee machine was broken on day one, but thew porridge was great. All in all very satisfactory but not a wow

stay there was excellent, room was cosy, bed was comfortable, bathroom facilities were very good, room had a nice ambience. There was a small balcony to sit and have a relaxing coffee later in the day. Bar and restaurant on site delicious food and drinking and not badly priced. Staff freindly and attentive
For future guests, if the car park looks full you can park to the left of the hotel, there is a side track where you can park in front of the old Aberdeen water works building

The bar area was lovely. The shower was great, plenty of hot water in the mornings. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was nice, the options weren't the greatest though.
The bed wasn't very comfy, the mattress felt very old and soft. Parking wasn't the greatest. We were on a dirt track around the side of the hotel. The balcony in the room was nice but was too small for more than 1 chair which meant taking turns. Not a huge issue but the pictures made this look bigger.
