I have been at this hotel 4 or 5 times and I just like it a lot! This time I just saw Northern Lights just from the terrace between the buildings which made my trip all worth it.

I would like to see more changes in the breakfast. It is good but it offers the same food for a number of years now.

Adored the central location - you are really in the heart of things here; the hotel is hip and happening - feels new, beautifully furnished with a huge emphasis on the aesthetic; big room, great bathroom; the front desk staff were great. Food was good.

I loved our room, and I’d book it again, but this time I’d wear ear plugs - the City does not sleep until 1-3 (a bit like New York) and the noise came through!

Mr Ovi - the restaurant manager! What can i say! He went above & beyond to make our stay as comforable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble & he offered "extra" services himself!! Outstanding & a credit to the hilton establishment. A real personal touch! Much appreciated by myself & my elderly mum after long trips. Breakfast was outstanding!! Chef & team were all brilliant! I cant thanks them enough! Its a shame we didnt recieve the same level of service & care from the reception team! It was basic! In comparison. Rooms were great. Comfy beds & loved the shower room/facilities & products.

Beautiful, clean, bright, modern hotel. Room was comfortable and welcoming (started immediately with a personalized welcome message upon arrival in your room). Plenty of room for suitcases. TV was big. Bathroom was nice. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety. Front desk staff was nice and there were options for snacks (as well as an amazing plaid scarf I bought upon checkout).

NO parking. The lot across the street was full, as were all lots around the hotel. We had to park far away and had a cold 20 minute walk. There was also no help with suitcases or a cart offered. Hotel is also in a loud area. We were on floor 2, so it was loud with street noise.

We loved everything-the proximity, staff, and amenities. You are in the middle of EVERYTHING. I just returned from a girls trip and 6 of us stayed here. We were able to walk to all major destinations within the city. You are right off one of the main streets with shopping and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll call out Ovi in the bar/ dining area who was so kind to us. For example, one night we arrived back late from an excursion and the kitchen was just about to close and they stayed open so we didn’t have to find somewhere else for dinner. The amenities- the hotel is beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. There are different cozy shared areas where you can gather with friends or find some quiet time. The rooms are on the smaller side but no detail was left out - heated bathroom floor, different lighting feels swanky (pretty sconces), white subway tile bathrooms, ample hooks/bars to hang things — it is all so modern and functional (And I would choose a well-appointed smaller room over a bigger room every day). Oh and there’s a rooftop terrace where we saw the northern lights 3 nights in a row which is unusual being in city (with light pollution). Definitely try to view from here. I can’t say enough good things about it. I fell in love with Iceland and will definitely be back in the summer to experience different excursions and places. And when I do, I will 100% book this hotel again. I travel a lot for business and leisure and this place is one of my favorites.

Very clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and we thought the breakfast pastries were actually better than some of the nearby well-known bakeries!

Room was a little warm and stuffy and there's no in-room thermostat control. However there is a window that opens to let in fresh air, which nicely solved this problem!

- Amazing breakfast, well worth it paying for it, so many good options - Hotel restaurant is lovely, lots of good options and a good vibe in the eve with happy hour - Lots of stylish areas of the hotel to relax in, wish we had more time to enjoy them - Heated floor in the bathroom is great after cold days! - Easy and friendly check in - Spacious room and comfy bed - Great location with good access to everything in Reykjavik city centre

The only thing I would say is the room is quite warm and there is no option to adjust the heat setting, however this is very minor

The Canopy is perfectly located on the main drag of downtown Reykjavik. There are literally hundreds of restaurants, attractions and tour bus stops within walking distance. The rooms are small but efficient and clean. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone.

The streets of Reykjavik can get pretty noisy at night especially on the weekends. Not the hotels fault.

The facilities were high class. Jasmin was awesome! She was able to get about room when we arrived around 11:00 so we could clean up and go on our excursion for 12:00. She also texted us and checked in with us a couple times to make sure we were OK. Customer service at its Best!

TV selections were minimal and choices were poor. For what these rooms cost, a better selection of channels would make experience better for getting ready in morning and winding down in the evening.

The room was very clean and the bed was most comfortable. Kudos to the housekeeping team: Housekeeping was impeccable - the room and bathroom were spotless. Location was great, right in the city centre and a 3-minute walk to Bus Stop #6 for pick-ups to tours and to the airport. Many cosy spots in the lobby for guests to chill out. The in-house restaurant served good food and provided great service too. Would definitely stay here again when I return to Iceland.

Noise from the streets could be an issue for light sleepers. The mini fridge in the room was not very cold.
