We really enjoy staying at this hotel—great location, clean and spacious facilities, and ideal for both business and families. The soundproof walls are a huge plus, especially with young children, as we don’t have to worry about disturbing others. Rooms are thoughtfully designed with no fragile items, making them child-friendly. Beds are always comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and minimal. The staff are consistently welcoming and friendly, which we truly appreciate and is a key reason we keep returning.

While we've enjoyed dining at the restaurant in the past, this visit featured a buffet-style breakfast which was a bit of a letdown as we had been expecting the usual à la carte options we’ve previously enjoyed. The coffee was excellent, but unfortunately, we had to take it to go due to delays in service and our tight work schedule.

Staff helpful and friendly Great location walking distance to main city activities

The laundry facilities for guests that the cleaners use it as well, and take out your wet clothes unfinished and left lying in basin. If they are wanting to provide this service ( which is so helpful when travelling ) then they need to not have the cleaners use as well. Myself and another traveler had numerous visits to the allocated laundry and spent along time seeing if machines where free or our laundry taken out wet and left. The other client had taken a 1/2 day out of his tour of Christchurch just to do his washing

Location was great, hotel was very comfortable but the thing which really made the hotel such a wonderful experience was the staff. Everyone was so friendly & obliging, particularly when I thought I'd left my passport behind at our last stop (also a Sudima hotel) the staff member who was on night duty couldn't have been more helpful. Unfortunately I don't know his name. Special mention to Sam who went over and above, he helped us with directions , even walking a couple of minutes with us to make sure we were on the right route & also taking us to the nearby gym rather than just giving verbal directions. Can't remember receiving such great service for a very long time. Thank you, we will be coming back.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

This hotel is in a great location and is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it! The room was equipped with a dishwasher, an iron, bathroom amenities, and dressing gowns. It was modern, well-presented, and very clean. I especially loved the Alexa clock beside the bed, which provided weather updates, allowed me to set alarms, and offered news updates. Movies were free to watch as well! The tea and coffee facilities were excellent, and the bathroom was spacious, clean, and modern. It was the first time I've stayed in a hotel that offered complimentary sanitary packs. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a selection of pillows available if needed. One of the best features for me was that there was no road noise, and the air conditioner was quiet—something that's quite rare! Having traveled to many hotels, this one is at the top of my list. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, and greeted everyone with a "hello." Altogether, it was a lovely stay!

The hotel has everything except slippers. They would be nice, but they are not a deal breaker, with all the other benefits they offer.

We booked this accommodation in the middle of the night as our previous place was unliveable. Kalai and Yoshi offered us their last room available, and were very accommodating to our needs. All the staff here were friendly and sought to attend to our requests. As our room was an accessible room, the shower area was more spacious. Sudima is also centrally located, which makes it convenient to get to various locations in Christchurch.

The kitchenette sink was a little too small and not very useful, and they don't have much vanity products like combs, so do note if you require such items. The breakfast buffet spread is a little limited, with mainly your Western breakfast items, but the food was generally alright.

The room was comfy, very modern and clean. It had a kitchen complete with dishwasher and microwave! It also had a hair straightener, yoga mat and umbrella to use. Beds were very comfortable. Complimentary gym was offsite. The staff were amazing, letting us know of local things to do on our travels south. The restuarant bar staff were very helpful and attentive.

The breakfast was good but a bit expensive. A cappacino/latte were an additional cost to the breakfast cost.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic from start to finish. We received a lovely welcome dessert on arrival as it was our honeymoon; the room was fantastic in terms of facilities and overall quality/comfort; the nearby gym and complimentary on-site laundry were a great convenience; and the food in the restaurant was also great. Most importantly, the reception manager Abhishek saved our day by helping to defrost our car so we could get to the train station on time, and was good-humoured even while we were very stressed. A top-class hotel all round!

Nothing.

This was a great stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself was very nice and had everything we needed - even a yoga mat and hair straightener! I liked the added touch of a throw blanket for the couch. The location was great for us, as we didn't want to be directly in the city but close enough to walk to the city. The bathroom was great with a sensor lighting underneath the floating shelf (make sure you close the door at night otherwise the sensor light will come on while rolling over in bed).

The walls must be very thin which I didn't like. While sitting in the main room, we could hear the people next door talking (we couldn't understand what they were saying). In the bedroom the walls felt even thinner as I could I hear the person next door snoring!

Little slice of heaven tucked away in the bustling Christchurch CBD. On arrival, 4 smiling, happy, laughing staff members greeted me in the beautifully presented lobby. All welcoming me, and wishing me a happy birthday. My room was exceptional. I booked a 'Luxe Twin Room', on level 2. The presentation was lovely. Crisp, clean, spacious layout. The room smelt nice, fresh, often there are odd smells like chemicals or must in some rooms, this was perfect. Beautiful full length window overlooking the city. There's a television with multiple options, including casting from your phone, which I did with success. There's an 'Alexa' in the room, so in the morning, I listened to my favourite radio station while packing up. The shower has 2 options, standard, or cascade. The water pressure is perfect. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. I loved the light up mirror. There's also a full length mirror out near the kitchenette. The kitchenette had a little stove, fridge, sink and all utensils, crockery etc. a pod coffee machine and powdered beverage options eg hot chocolate. There was a HUGE dressing gown. The bed was super comfortable, and there were multiple pillow option's for individual comfort. Cinderella made it home just before midnight, but was a little peckish, so I ordered a vegetarian lasagna from the room service menu & it arrived 15-minutes later! It was absolutely delicious. The buffet breakfast is an additional $35, and is small, but absolutely delicious. The sweet pastries are the best I've ever had, and the hash brown sticks are delicious! Again, breakfast staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. I ordered an oat milk flat white, an additional cost, and this was made quickly & also yummy. You can pay to valet park your vehicle securely for $30. There's also a spa attached to the hotel, Moss Spa, it's absolutely stunning. It's such a relaxing vibe. I had a relaxation package with Jess.

NOTHING! Spectacular accommodation

This is a really comfortable, modern hotel. Perfect for after a long haul flight, has everything you need in the room. Powerful, hot shower. TV with ability to cast from phone or choose from (free) on demand films. We found Sam on the front desk to be really helpful and gave some great advice for exploring the city! The restaurant here is also good for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend.
