I’m usually a hotel snob and go for a boutique type hotel but decided to try the Dolby to take advantage of the free parking and glad I did. You can leave your car parked up even before and after you check on and out. The hotel was conveniently located for the centre of Liverpool (10 min walk) the room and bathroom were a little on the snug side but were spotlessly clean and perfectly adequate, we also had a great view of the waterfront. Staff were really polite and helpful. Breakfast was great too. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would hesitate to stay again and to recommend.

Small hotel, good free parking and comfortable rooms. Small Bathroom with shower which was spotless, tight for space but quite adequate for a short stay. Ground floor terrace, with outdoor tables, overlooks River Mersey. 14 min easy walk to Royal Albert Dock & 20 min to City Centre shops. Rooms small but comfortable, with Coffee Tea & Kettle. Breakfasts are good with decent choices in an airy breakfast room overlooking River. Staff are excellent. Everyone polite, helpful, friendly and efficient. Front desk staffed all the time. We asked for sandwiches mid-afternoon, on arrival. They were very good, and we ate them in the small comfortable lounge area with a drink from the bar. Impressed with cleanliness throughout which was good to see. Recommended with confidence for a visit to Liverpool.

The weather on Wednesday!

Breakfast is amazing. Plenty of choice. Full English ( help yourself) and also cereals ,breads and pastries, fruit, yogurts, tea, coffee and fruit juices. Pleasant breakfast room and bar with views across the Mersey. Seating outside with tables for those who want to sit outside. Good bar and with amazingly cheap prices. Nice comfy seats in the bar area. Bedroom comfortable and, although small, has everything you need. Staff very friendly and easy check in and out. Our 4th visit to the Dolby and will definitely book again Great parking too. Plenty of spaces. 10/15 minutes walk from hotel to city centre and around 5/10 minutes walk to the docks.

Not applicable as everything was brilliant

location was great, just 10min walk to Albert Docks. Staff were very welcoming and friendly all throughout our stay. Hotel was very clean. Good breakfast provided Room was basic but served its purpose. we were given a ground floor accessible room with river view as that was the only one available at that time and we had asked for a river view if possible so did really appreciate what we were given. Parking we could leave the car there even before we could check in and after we checked out.

lack of plugs in room, none by the bed and only 2 by the kettle. so glad we took an extension lead. No soap by the sink had to use the dispenser by the bath. The room was classed as accessible, not that we booked one but, if we needed an accessible room i think we would have struggled. There is a bath with shower and handrail. perhaps a wet room would be more suitable. I struggled a little in the shower as not much room to stand with the handrail. There is another internal door in the room that i thought was quite heavy and if in wheelchair would find it problematic. If it wasn't an accessible room it would be fine and i would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.I am a disabled person and they went out their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was far enough away from the center to be quiet but not far from all the attractions with a nice sitting area outside on the dockside. Breakfast was really good with a good range of choices for both cooked and Continental breakfast. They even fried eggs to order. The room I had was an accessible room and was very comfortable and more than met my needs. I would highly recommend the hotel and if I am back in Liverpool will try and book again.

The only downside is there was no power points next to the bed to plug in my husband's CPAP machine. I had packed an extension lead as we have come across this before so was not a huge problem but did mean a cable running across the floor at night

Great location close to city centre, Baltic Triangle and Albert Dock, staff are wonderfully friendly, bar open til 1am, small terrace area outside along the dock with views down to Albert Dock and the Liver Building. Breakfast was fine, standard fare for this type of hotel - gave it a miss on day 1 but took the option on the second day as we had a long journey ahead. Room was compact but had all we needed (kettle/teabags/milk) and we weren't in it for long. All in all met our needs for a couple of days - this is a good budget-ish hotel about as close as you're gonna get to the city for this price. Would definitely stay again.

Double beds are very small, so if you're used to bigger, book a bigger bed or twins. Bathrooms are modular so there is quite a step up into them if you have mobility issues. They did offer a half step but this would have encroached into the sall room space.

All staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly. The hotel was easy to get to from the motorway using the sat nav. When you arrive at the final road it was a dead end but then we saw the yellow sign for the hotel and it was easy after we had seen that. We had rooms close together and overlooking the water so a good view. The rooms were small but had everything you needed and were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a delicious lunch of sandwich, nachos and salad when we arrived and it was an excellent price. Breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty and had a good selection of hot and cold food. The hotel was in a very convenient place being about 10 minute walk from the Albert dock, about 20 minutes from the Liver building and town shops and 15 minutes walk from the Anglican Cathedral. There was plenty of free, secure parking. There is a reasonably priced restaurant at the hotel in the evening but we didn't eat there as there are also a lot of restaurants at the Albert Dock.

The hotel was excellent but as I said rooms we booked were small. We didn't find this a problem but some people might. We stayed for 2 nights so were happy to leave our clothes in the suitcase but if you are staying longer be aware there is very little hanging space for unpacking clothes in the rooms we were in. This may be different if you book a larger room.

Well, from when we walked through the door we were greeted by a friendly receptionist. We got there early, and they allowed us to leave the car on the car park for free while we went into Liverpool. The staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, there was a hairdryer in our room together with proper coat hangers and a very comfy bed. We didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on that. There is a lovely seating area looking over the Mersey. All in all it was a fantastic stay and credit to the staff they work hard but still have a pleasant way about them. Thank you Dolby Hotel will definitely be staying again

My only criticism and this wasn't anything to do with the hotel it was so hot in the room. We had a fan which made it easier but being a woman of a certain age I struggle with the heat I will say for someone who struggles to get upstairs there is no lift that I was aware of. It is about a 5-10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) to the docks.

Spotlessly clean Helpful, friendly, efficient staff Good location; ideal for water front facilities and ferry services Car parking available but we dd not need parking as we did not hire a car and were able to use public transport Terrace ideal for sitting out in warm weather and looking at the waterfront

Room fairly small; fine for a couple of nights but might be a problem if using this hotel as a base for a week of holiday Shower room very small; not a problem for a fit, fully mobile adult but might be difficult for someone who uses a walking stick. Shower room up a small step

I liked almost everything that was available, the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness, the location, the room facilities. All the staff were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating where possible. Met my dietary requirements to the best of their ability. Disability parking available 9.5 out of 10

No bath! No lift! However, the hotel does have 1 room with a bath on the 1st floor, which unfortunately was occupied during my stay Reception did offer help to my room, but for those with mobility issues, should let the hotel know before arriving to accommodate a ground floor room
