Fantastic location and lovely rooms. We were greeted by Alex the owner who was really welcoming and helpful! Rooms were lovely and clean and we were right next to the Christmas markets and metro stations etc.

Quite an odd set up for breakfast. We were sat around a table with other guests with continental items left out for us but we had to keep asking for coffee/milk/juice/for our bread to be toasted etc. And on a couple of days they ran out of the croissants. I think it would be better if everything was just left out for us to help ourselves to as it felt awkward to keep having to ask someone (who was on their phone a lot) to top up milk etc. Also no lifts so be wary if you can't do stairs! Otherwise would recommend it.

Alex was a fantastic host—thorough, approachable, and having a can-do attitude. The rooms are huge, which gives you a sense of comfort right from the start. We just came from the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Spa, so we were exhausted. We slept well and rested enough to explore the city on foot. The apartment is within walking distance to everything—13 minutes to the Grand Palace, for example. Our flight was early in the morning and Alex made sure we had some pastries to start our journey. We would love to come back and stay here again!

The stairs, but it wasn't too bad. Our companions were elderly, so they stayed in the room on the lower floor. We hoped our rooms would be next to each other, but that wasn't possible. Again, the house is historic, so you basically get what you get; however, it's beautifully remodeled with modern conveniences.

Great location, fantastic breakfast, amazing facilities, lovely welcome.

1. It was a hot night (though only end of May) and without aircon a bit difficult to sleep. A fan was provided but in our room there was no convenient socket. Not a big deal and provision of a long lead would fix the issue. 2. I don't always read the fine print (the main reason I use booking.com is because I expect them to do that for me and to ensure some standard terms). In this case a late arrival (after 20:30) incurs a 50 Euro surcharge. I feel this is highly unusual (never seen it before after dozens of booking.com stays) and excessive. Could be fixed by providing an out of hours keybox like the majority of properties offer.

To be honest, it really did exceed my expectations. The building and the rooms are even more beautiful than in the photos. There are beautiful artistic touches throughout. My room was very comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast was generous and delicious, and there were coffee and tea available in the room as well. The host was friendly and helpful. It is in an excellent location, close to the heart of Brussels and the more northern part (I had some work events closer to Rogier, and the North train station, easily reachable on foot). I would love to come back in warmer weather to also enjoy the lovely terrace.

This was a lovely stay. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great! The sit down breakfast was delightful, and we were able to prepare a picnic breakfast to carry for our touring days. The coffee was spectacular, and the terrace was so relaxing!! We would definitely stay here again, the staff was so kind and accommodating- especially little Luna, the miniature Italian Greyhound, who gave us puppy love!!

I wish we could have stayed longer!

Fish Market B&B is B&B only in its name but more like a small boutique hotel. The location is superb. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was fresh, everything prepared and presented nicely.

Arrived after 40 minutes of the official arrival time period and we were charged an extra 50 EUR for that. That's fine as we were informed properly but it couldn't be paid via booking it had to be in cash.

Fabulous location and spacious, comfortable room! Alex the host was a superstar! He organised early breakfast one day and was always happy and smiling. Breakfasts were superb - individual too! A wealth of healthy ingredients and a range of foods. I’ll definitely stay again when back in Brussels!

Nothing really - all was super!

Great place. Warm and friendly manager (Alex). Fantastic location -- the B&B is located on a quiet side street but just a few yards away, the street opens out to a buzzy area with loads of restaurants, bars, coffee shops. We got an enormous room and bathroom with interesting decor artifacts. The continental breakfast was fine.

We were given Room 1 which was on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the room does not have ac or a ceiling/pedestal fan. Some of the nights were really hot and uncomfortable. We could open the windows but since the room was on the ground floor, the street sounds (late into the night) could be heard clearly. That did not make for a very sound and restful sleep. My one suggestion would be to provide table fans to guests on very hot nights.

Stayed at the Fish Market B&B from 4th - 6th May. Located approximately 10 minutes walk from the Grand place it’s in the perfect location, not too far out but away from the hustle and bustle, there are several restaurants and bars located just around the corner. The building is absolutely stunning, the accommodation is both stylish and comfortable with beautiful original features. Our host Alex was brilliant, made us feel very welcome and gave us all the local information we needed. We were served a delicious continental breakfast with freshly baked pastries. We can’t wait to return.

Great location and such a nice stay. We were welcomed by Alex, who gave us a tour of the place. There is a small work-out room with sauna and a communal room where breakfast is served and where one can relax and watch some television. Our room was spacious and clean. We were provided with clean towels and toiletries. There is also a vault in the room to keep your valuables safe. As you are situated very near Sint-Katelijneplein, you can visit Brussels easily, either by foot or using public transport. Alex also provided us with restaurants he recommended in the neighbourhood. They serve a nice breakfast and staff was really helpful. I would really recommend this lovely place to friends and family.

I would suggest to bring ear plugs, as this place is situated near Sint-Katelijneplein, you may hear some occasional noise coming from the streets. However, inside you are certainly not disturbed by the other guests.
