Excellent breakfast choice. Room was a good size and bed was comfy. Great location, 5 minutes walk to V&A waterfront. Pool was brilliant. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Great tour organised by your tour colleague.

Air con never got cold so room was always warm. Bathroom door was heavy and kept banging, door closer didn't appear to work. Found a drawer containing a previous guests socks and face mask and down back of desk was a bit dirty. Fridge was empty but found the old price list dumped down the side. Didn't feel that the room had had deep cleaned in some time. Towels were all hung inside the shower unit, no towel hanger next to sink to dry hands, a little inconvenient. We would stay again but feel a few tweaks required.

The staff are amazing .. from the reception, the potters and my most favourites ☺️the breakfast waitresses , they went beyond the call of duty for us , one day we decided to skip breakfast, and they called us when they saw breakfast was closing in few min ,to check if we not coming down to eat 😊😊☺️☺️ made us feel like a big family with them . We ended up extending our stay cos we were just not ready to leave the hotel, though our holiday was over 😆

Maybe for the kitchen to make fresh hash brownies every morning , and not rewarm the previous day ones .. but I requested freshly done ones and they were more than happy to do so .. lastly the some of the other food from breakfast that were also re-warmed gave us a bit of upset tummies . Maybe consider cooking less food everyday to avoid the need to serve the same food the next day .

The location was perfect for starting each days adventures as well as for finding delicious food, and the ability to walk around safely both day and night. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. When weather allowed, the courtyard was a delightful setting for meals, food was good, and the room was comfortable.

Two things were less than stellar. One was the coffee, which was truly bad. The other was that twice in our week there, there was an unpleasant odor that was from spraying baseboards in the hallways. We’ve travelled to many places and never encountered that before.

LOCATION: The best you could ever get in Cape Town, as it is in the heart of the V&A. It's literally 5 mins walk to the V&A shopping mall & all the other attractive locations within the V&A. Could walk back to the Hotel even after 10pm. It is extremely safe (Safety consciousness & proactivity is key though). Best location to get on an Uber too, as the location is distinct & clear. Cape Town CBD is only a 5 minutes drive using Uber. BREAKFAST: Keep it up & do not drop the ball. It is the BEST breakfast you could ever have. ROOM: Views to die for walking up to the majestic views of the iconic table mountain. Room service was excellent ensuring the rooms were kept extremely clean at all times..

Room service delays in cleaning the rooms during 2 days out of the 5 days stay (only cleaned the room past 3pm)

Great hotel

A new phone power bank and USD $500 cash went missing from the room. We take responsibility, however, as there are clear warnings around the hotel that valuables should be kept in the safe provided.

In my list, this hotel is among the best 3 hotels I have ever been to. I am a traveller and has been in many hotels all over the world but I have no doubt that the Commodore is one of the best

Probably the breakfast team staff, some of them are very good but I think some of them need to loosen a bit and be accessible and be fun to be around. I am.not sure whether those that were moody (2 ) had bad mornings or it was just me. But they must know that they are the face of the hotel

We enjoyed our stay at The Commodore Hotel very much and it was all thanks to the stuff. We encountered a few mishaps that were settled nicely all thanks to the people of the hotel. The location of the hotel is great and the breakfast was rich with options and tasty. The lobby was nice as well as the terrace. You could enjoy a nice drink or coffee there.

The bathroom of the room needed a renovation. The lunch/dinner options need to improve.

We had a junior king suite with a small balcony with views of a table mountain & Signal Hill which was excellent but the decor was a bit tired and there was no door separating the bathroom from the toilet, although there clearly used to be a sliding door

The location is very good and very safe. You have to walk a little bit to V&A waterfront like 5-10 minutes. Breakfast is superb, they also have steak for hot plate The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. They help me to find the van I waited for local tour and very friendly with my daughter. The family room is spacious enough and they already additional extra little bed for my daughter and she's really like it I recommend this hotel as it's good value for the price and would like to stay again if I come back.

No Supermarket nearby. You have to walk to V&A waterfront to buy it, but it's not too far. The delayed of hotel staff to reply email.

Thank you for allowing a very early check in, it really was appreciated by tired travellers, The restaurant was great, both for breakfast and evening dining. The bar area was busy and had a good atmosphere. The room size was good. The location was good, but it did take some time to find our bearings. It would be better if the hotel provided more information on this.

Noisy Aircon Overall service fell below expectation. For example I asked for additional tea/milk as Partner was unwell and asked for the room not to be serviced. For some reason this simple request was not supplied. We also had to chase getting our laundry returned to our room. Hand soap was not provided on day 1. We had to ask for seat covers for the pool area, so overall the service lacked what we would expect in a hotel of this nature.
