Everything. Nothing to complain about in terms of the property.

I really do not like every single thing having a service charge. I pay for a room and then discover service charges for the cleaners, the staff. Really when did we become an American state! A buffet breakfast - you help your self - and they add a £6.50 service charge. It’s shocking and really putting me off. I tip good service. I pay for a good room and then I have to pay a service charge to have it cleaned. I personally would prefer if you paid staff a valued amount instead of putting onto the customer all the time.

everything was great in the hotel, easy to get around, plenty of facilities. Room was a great size and very clean Lovely to have water jugs and water to get for free in the corridor

I wish you could move or black out the mirror it was huge and by the bed and not relaxing to keep seeing yourself also for single female travellers would be great to have an additional locking system that externally no key can open finally the ironing board was quite heavy to move and should be not hung up. Probably fine if you have strength or no ailments but with arthritis was quite hard to life out

The location is excellent—just a short walk to Blackfriars and Waterloo stations, with a bus stop only 300 meters away and taxis readily available. Major tourist attractions like the Southbank, London Eye, and Big Ben are just minutes away, while Waitrose and a pharmacy are also very close. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the daily supervision of the cleaning staff. The hotel provides a WhatsApp service for the butler, which is incredibly quick and efficient. The overall atmosphere maintains true five-star quality. Special thanks to Jairo, Shuma, Babs, Danniela, Maria, Lilliana, and Joy for their excellent service and thoughtful complimentary benefits. This was our fourth time staying at Sea Containers, and we keep coming back for the staff’s gentleness, professionalism, and the consistently high quality offered.

The hotel lacks a business center, a pool, and kids’ activity facilities, which would be expected at a five-star hotel.

There is a lot to like (even love) about Sea Containers but for a property claiming to be 5-star, there are some fundamental big misses. Good Whilst the building itself is a triumph of brutalist architecture the interiors are brilliantly funky and modern. Decor - in the room it had a modern vibe and looks really cool. Well stocked mini bar, big tv, and a good size bathroom. The shower was super. Decor - lobby area is stunning and fun! We loved the notice board with the changing humoured messages. Location - next to the River Thames and the restaurant and bar are great for people watching Food - the meal we had in the restaurant was good (with London level pricing 😄) WiFi - no issues here, fast and easy to access Lovely private patio area (it’s ok though Sea Containers, I’ll water the plant pots for you!) Could be better The bed - small and uncomfortable. Why spend all that time and effort having the room look fabulous and then put a lousy, uncomfortable, tiny bed in there! Hunt the light switch - they are all over the room and well hidden and sometimes they didn’t seem to work. It seems that whoever has designed this room doesn’t actually use hotels - there does seem to be a lot of dead space. Noisy air con - I mean, in this day and age! Stay for Supper - a great idea which we upgraded to but a bewildering process where some staff advised a booking hadn’t been made, the website confirming so then getting an email saying there was one and the restaurant advising that we had! It then resulted in us being over charged on the bill rather than discounted!!! Staff are a bit hit and miss. Some are professional and helpful and others are a tad surly. If Sea Containers wants to stay at the 5-star end of the market then it needs to up its game a tad otherwise it risks being a glorified 4-star wannabe. Despite all of this. We love what the hotel tries to be 👍

Loved the location and the view of the river. Room was really spacious. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Lifts are slow (one out of order too).

The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious. All of the staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Buffet breakfast was excellent, one of the best we’ve had! Would love to stay again. We were also gifted 2 Prosecco vouchers which was a lovely surprise as we were there to celebrate.

I requested cakes to be put into the room on a specific date to celebrate a birthday but they were delivered a day early which was slightly annoying but not the end of the world. We also spoke to 2 separate people about the £25 credit to be issued for not using housekeeping during our 2 night stay but after checking out, the credit was not removed and my messages with the hotel have been ignored since. The money isn’t the end of the world but it is the principle and after receiving such great service during our stay, I’ve been very shocked and disappointed by the response we have received afterwards.

The room was comfortable and clean. The bed had good pillows (not always the case) and it was very quiet at night. Location is the real star... central and close to the National Theatre, The Globe, Borough market etc.. I used the bus and tube at Blackfriars to travel further afield. Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend and the hotel definitely added to my overall experience. I didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on the Spa or the bars.

It is expensive but you are paying to be on the riverfront even though most rooms won't have a view. I had missed the damage deposit in the booking details so go prepared for £100 per person. The staff were friendly and helpful with the exception perhaps of the receptionist who handled check in - information was given so fast it was hard to take in what was said.

Amazingly comfortable bed, best pillows I’ve ever slept on! Very quiet room with fantastic amenities. The breakfast was incredible, fully recommend. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. We loved the bars and the overall relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. Cannot wait to return!

Would have loved to have a pool at the hotel and better use of the spa, this was a big selling point for us staying but there wasn’t much we could use/do together. We really liked the 12th Knot bar, spectacular views! The music when we were there on the Saturday night seemed a bit odd/not right for the setting. Would’ve been better if more like the Lyaness bar in terms of ambience.

This is my go-to Hotel when visiting London as rooms are nice and clean, comfy bed and lovely staff.

On my visit this time, we were given a room that had no hand soap and a broken bedside lamp. However, once I informed the Reception Desk via the Whatsapp form of communication, soap was brought up to our room and I happened to see one of the Maintenance men in the corridor and reported our broken lamp and he came to fix it straight away. I felt this time around things weren’t at their usual standards, so a little disappointed as I have never at to ask for things before but all was fixed with no hassle and service was always with a smile.

This is our second time staying at The Sea Containers. We like the hotels decor, and the location is really great. The rooms are also well equipped and comfortable. We did find our welcome on our last stay was different for example we received a welcome drink so we expected the same this time around but it's not a big deal. We will return again, I expect. I want to mention the gentlemen who look after the luggage were also very efficient and friendly.

We really love staying here for the location, style and comfort of hotel. The only part of the stay I do not enjoy is check out because they ask for a 5% service charge which I do not feel should be asked of us. It caught me off gaurd on my first stay last year and I paid it but this year I had to apologise and ask for it not to be applied but feel we should not be put in that position in the first place. If we felt there was enhanced service given, we would voluntarily tip. Also on check out we were not greeted very friendly in my opinion and in comparison to the very friendly person who checked us in. The person checking us out did not even ask if we had an enjoyable stay, and this was before they asked for the service charge.
