From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made my partner and me feel truly special. I had mentioned in advance that we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and they went above and beyond to acknowledge the occasion. They were incredibly friendly and approachable, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a small gift in our room, followed by a thoughtful bottle of wine later—such a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-equipped with full amenities and a minibar. The hotel’s location was perfect, with SkyCity just a nice stroll away with a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars nearby. We were spoiled for choice when it came to dining and entertainment. Our two-day stay exceeded expectations, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

One thing that could be improved is parking availability. We didn’t realize that following the Horizon signs through the SkyCity car park led only to valet parking. Fortunately, the porter was amazing at explaining our options, and we ended up parking at SkyCity for $35 per visit. While this didn’t impact our stay, it would be great to have clearer parking information upfront or onsite parking if possible

Breakfast was delicious.

There were a few hidden unexpected extra costs... booked a room for two people, breakfast included.. to find out it only included breakfast for one. Parking was another hidden cost as we booked our room at a time there was a promo for free parking included with the booking... to get there on the day to find out we were not going to receive free parking... so paid $48.00 for the 24hrs.

It is stunning! I’m a big fan of the Sky City hotels and had wanted to stay at Horizon, so booked a staycation for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The room was gorgeous and SPOTLESS. Quality was in everything - the fixtures, the bed, pillows, towels, all the usual complimentary items like body wash etc - all just real quality stuff. From the moment we walked in, we were taken care of. The concierge (Harry if I remember correctly) was SO nice! As were the front desk staff on check in and check out - we even got a gorgeous HAND WRITTEN card with some wine for us in our room to congratulate us on our anniversary. Love all the modern touches throughout the hotel - technology is amazing and they have made sure they stay current! Love love love! Cannot wait to return again!!!

Modern room and facilities - still looks like new. Lovely bedding and the bathroom was well appointed with everything you expect. Very clean. Extremely quiet which I really appreciated. Smart features in room were good and worked as they should.

If you are unfamiliar with the facility it is easy to get lost. The hotel is connected to Skycity building which is very convenient, but the lifts (which ones go to which areas), carparking entrances/exits etc are confusing and not very well signposted. This could easily be improved with maps/signage. Once you know, its convenient - but for first time visitors it is confusing.

Great time at this Hotel, super friendly staff, spacious rooms with city view, top amendities, super clean and beautifully designed, Airport Bus and Inter Island leave on the other side of the street, Cafés and Restaurants in the Hotel/ the SkyCity and also in walking distance - top! A nice extra experience was the communication via message on the TV when having the "Do Not Disturb"-Button on. We were in the room and had the DND-Button on, so the cleaning fairies didn't enter. When we started the TV, we saw the message, that they didn't enter because of the DND and that we could let them know, if we need something or want the room serviced. Great communication and we felt so good taken care of :)

-Bar closes quite early and the prices at the Bar (also the Minibar) are quite steep -We really liked the design but something to put your jacket on, when you get in the room, would be nice

The aesthetic, the staff, the rooms - everything was clean, calm, and beautiful. The food was sooo good, and even though we only had the buffet breakfast once, it definitely didn’t disappoint. Would 100% come back! The view topped it off being on the highest level!! & also so convenient being connected to the sky tower having to just walk over thru the sky bridge!

The only issue we had was with the TV — it would work but sometimes would crash out. We had to call thru the night we got in & then the next day too. & it might’ve been because we were on the highest level. Staff mentioned it doesn’t usually happen, so maybe just a one-off. Other than that, everything was great and I’d definitely come back!

Absolutely amazing location and comfort. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and well-connected to their customers. The restaurant experience was fantastic, including the food and the staff, a very observant team, and the service was next level. The suite we had was very spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the complimentary valet parking as first timers to The Horizon, a very nice touch, thank you. Next time we will try the beef wellington, they looked amazing!

We were disappointed the first night as we were hungry and tired and advised once we arrived at The Grill (restaurant) that we had to have a booking, which no one had advised us about, so maybe some way of making this clear to customers when they check in would be beneficial?

Every staff member greeted me when I walked in. The valet workers were very nice and informative on other areas to park if I did not want to do valet. He helped me with my bags and directed me to the lobby so I didn't get lost or confused since it was on another floor. The lady that checked me in was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable which was huge because I was alone in a city and a completely new country. I got room service and they were so nice and accommodating. The room was fantastic and the bed was like a cloud. Ladies the bathroom lighting is amazing. I usually have to pull out my makeup mirror to do my makeup in hotels but I didn't have to use it!

The hotel is obviously in the middle of the city which reminded me a little of downtown LA... but nothing to complain about in terms on the hotel.

The location was amazing, food was great, bed was really comfortable!

What I didn’t appreciate was the staff contacting me hours after I left to try and charge me for something I did not use from the mini bar. When I stated I had photo that I took right before I walked out door to check out and I can forward it to them with the time stamps showing they decided to waiver it. More so it was something we didn’t drink on a regular basis and secondly they were charging us 5.00 which wasn’t even the cost of the item. And when we asked why the five dollars on top of how can you say that they never responded. So as much as the stay was good this put a damper on it and gas made me question if I want to stay here in future. It’s a good thing I document everything. Never in my entire hotel staying life have I not paid for what I have used.

Excellent breakfast, Grill very close. When we checked in we were given a room on the 2nd floor, I asked if the room had a view which it didn't. I mentioned it was our 15 year wedding anniversary and we would love a view. The Desk team were very polite and friendly and changed us to the 9th floor with a view. This was wonderful and made a huge difference to our stay.

Our room wasn't serviced on the 2nd day, at 7pm when we went for dinner we mentioned to the front desk that it wasn't a big deal, but we just needed some fresh towels. The towels were delivered before we returned. We though we may have missed a door tag or something to request room servicing but couldn't find anything in the room. Wasn't a big deal.
