The location is a short walk to Fortitude Valley (funky bars/well-rated restaurants) and CBD (main district, shopping, restaurants). The manager, Sean, is great and gave a lot of good recommendations!

The motel is good value for location. It’s not high end but has everything you need, great for short or solo stay. There is not much security besides an unlocked gate at the front but I have found that is common in Australia. I didn’t feel unsafe at any time, just something to mention if that is more important to others.

I chose this hotel based on its location in the city. And never regretted it. The hotel is located in the quiet center, which is very convenient. Comfortable rooms, Clean and tidy. There is everything for a comfortable stay. Given the cost of renting in Australia, in my opinion, this is the best option in terms of price and quality. But most of all I want to note the friendliness of the staff. Sean and Steven helped us in everything, for which special thanks to them. If I ever visit Brisbane again, I will definitely stay here.

One night i could hear people talking until 4am and slept badly. Only one toilet on the upper level.

Great staff, very convenient location with a very competitive price, basic but adequate facilities.

At times, it was a little bit noisy in the morning (starting from 7:00 ish) outside of the window due to ongoing construction work.

the hill area

I liked the cleanliness, the staff were very helpful and really nice people as well. The location is excellent, you can walk to the centre of Brisbane and back around 8,000 steps, 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back.

I really loved this smallish, old style hotel. Sean was great and advised me on top spots to visit in Brisbane Near to it all, lovely

Only one cooking hob to share, (but it was quiet) could do with a bit of a scrub but other kitchen areas were spotless

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, even when I arrived unusually early for check in. The place is clean, my room was comfortable and quiet, and it was located in Spring Hill, close to the CBD, but not in it.

Old brick house with charm, lots of natural light coming through the widows. the premises were kept clean. Location very central. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Communication was excellent.

The room was small and cramped.

Sean the owner is delightful. So kind and caring. Immaculately clean, quiet, secure. Great place to do studies. Regulars are friendly and helpful. Every room has a fridge, table and chair and a handbasin, and a bed of course. I used to run a guesthouse/backpackers in NZ and myself and the owners were very particular about cleanliness of the place.

A few too many stairs for my liking.
