Latroupe Le Berger is relatively close to the city centre. The discreet charm of its former use has often been mentioned here and thankfully the house breathes a lot of this history and individuality. The symbiosis with modern parts of the building, such as the breakfast room, is a success. I really liked the inner courtyard where you can sit for breakfast.
This is nothing specific to Latroupe Le Berger: the tie-up with Booking.com should allow the data to be seamlessly transferred. Instead, you fill in everything again and then a crucial detail is still missing for the official claim.

Room was lovely, comfortable bed, perfect size for 2 people not spending a lot of time there. Bathroom was nice, blockout curtains and nice view of the street. Beautiful lobby and pool area. Location was fairly central and easy to get public transport or walk to various destinations.
No mini fridge/ cutlery or ability to have any meals in the room. There is a lot of « sound proof » mentioned but it was extremely loud whenever another room shut its door and the noise from the street carried through pretty easily. The price was extremely high for the room

The interior is always great. Every time I stay here, I am in a different room with a different charm. The hotel is also conveniently located.
Like always, a table is missing if one wants to work. This is not a very important point, a comfy chair that is available in the rooms is more important. However, there would have been the place. What is also always a little problem is that it is very badly isolated. This time, luckily there was no couple nearby booking the romantic room package and loudly enjoying it throughout the night, so this time it was relatively calm except for the early departures. Maybe something could be done to isolate at least the doors a little more? I also feel that the quality of the breakfast deteriorates over time, but it also may be bad timing, as choice was very limited.

Not far from city centre. Also, I love the vibe in the hotel. If you don't know what I mean, read about the history of hotel.
You need to keep giving your room key to reception. And ask for it back every time you return. The concept is fine, just seems a bit ridiculous. Also, the receptionists who see you for the first time, don't check if you are actually asking for your own room key. The room was a bit too small for two people. You don't really have space to keep your stuff or to dry towels.

I liked the quirky nature of the room and hotel. The bed was super comfy with lots of potential. The room was warm which was welcome as Brussels was quite chilly. I had plenty of space and the wifi connection was strong. The location was fine with Bus 71 (from/to the Grand Place area) dropping one about 100m away. The hotel is situated just off a shopping street which is helpful as I needed a laptop charger. Didn't, notice any nice restaurants but lots of fast food and cafes nearby. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The shower is very awkward, lacking an overhead hook and positioned in a bath that is almost at floor level. But there were ample towels, toiletries, etc. Some of the plugs could be better placed. A small fridge and a kettle would be nice.

The hotel's best features aside location are the large relaxing lobby, great for meetings, and very friendly/professional staff. The room was small but comfortable, very quiet. the pool looked nice and seemed warm, didn't get a chance to try it. I loved the super hot old style shower and querky deco.
The near location next to the metro and right next to shops is perfect, only 20mn from the square, but the small side street location of the hotel itself doesn't feel super safe at night for a woman on her own, especially if coming back from a meeting with a suit... Since it's quite a small street of a main shopping avenue, it's easy to just wait and check that noone dodgy is around when going, but I would not like to do this after midnight.

My great experience started from the very beginning. The hotel personnel has sent me all the essential information via booking. The check-in process was very quick and smooth, everyone was really welcoming and friendly and I was provided with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. There's an elevator which is handy if you have a lot of luggage. As my room was on the 1st floor I didn't really need to use it though. The ground floor interior is super cool and modern, it gave me vibe of a co-working/cooperative place, where you can grab a drink and relax or work with your laptop. The breakfast is available and is served there too. There coffee and tea are available all day long downstairs. I brought my thermo bottle with me and it was super convenient to brew some tea for the whole evening/day. I really liked that the room was super clean and the furniture and bathroom stuff were modern and quality, comfy bed with lots of pillows for everyone's taste, blankets, etc. Also the room temperature was perfect for me - I didn't have to neither turn the heating on nor opposite which is quite a rare occasion. I found some of the reviews here quite disturbing and started worrying about my experience after reading those. However, I'm very happy that my experience was different and I didn't know what puts people off. The concept of the hotel is clearly explained everywhere and one notices that flair in the hotel, however, it's also clear that it's a modern view on it and the hotel is a totally different place nowadays. If you're tired of cookite-cutter hotels, I defo can recommend this stay. Otherwise, stay in Hilton or similar, Brussels has plenty of those too.
The very few things I didn't like were: - carpet on the floor. It's more of a personal preference and I know it's still common in many hotel, I'm just not a big fan of it - Berger street doesn't give a safe vibe but it's not the hotel's fault, you can expect it in big and cosmopolitan cities like Brussels nowadays unfortunately. This is the price to pay for staying in the center.

Central Location Good Public Transport Parked opposite in a locked unit via Parclick at a reasonable price. Room serviced daily. Free croissants left over from breakfast and a free coffee machine 24/7. Outside and communal areas are pleasant and comfortable. Reasonably good value for what/where it is. Shower was good. Cheap/easy to get there by Uber from main stations. There’s a lift. Good fire safety / escape.
Nearest decent cafe is some distance away (the loft) and there was no bar operating. There’s a night shop if you turn right and right again at the top of the street which is the only option for drinks. The water from the dispenser doesn’t taste good. The room is small. The street outside was very noisy at night. Lots of fast food joints and delivery mopeds. No safe and no wardrobe in the room. Usual inner city issues , drugs/begging etc. feels a bit intimidating if you’re not used to inner city life.

I love the art deco atmosphere. The pool is very refreshing after a long day wondering. The location is quiet but also centered in a big city. staff is Lovely and you can leave your keys at the entrance and go out until late but find someone to welcome you back. Coffee is free and is very nice. Also for the lil fan girls - it's near Audrey Hepburn place of birth 🤭
The hallway lack some lights, which didn't bother me but can be dangerous if you are older or have a bad sight. The elevator is a bit small and the light goes out sometimes so i would not recommend for claustrophobic people or if you are scared of the dark.

Great hotel with an outdoor pool. The pool is warm so one can swim even in winter. I didn't try it though as I prefer to have hot water in the bath tub in our room. Rooms are beautiful and with an authentic art nouveau vibe. But there was only one small window facing an outdoor staircase passage which didn't allow for much daylight to enter, therefore it was kinda dark inside, requiring to use the lights at all times. Otherwise it was great and the breakfast was good too.
