The pool was great the hot tub and sauna were extremely fabulous. Felt like a spa vacation.

I would have liked some type of breakfast options included in the price, a lot of competition is doing it.

The room was a nice size with a big bathroom. The pool was very clean. Very safe feeling with kids.

1. I didn’t like finding out after booking that parking is an additional daily fee. 2. The laundry machines in the hotel were coin only (Canadian 3 quarters and 2 1-dollar coins.) 1 dollar coins are hard to get in change and the hotel doesn’t have a coin machine - laundry should be upgraded to accept cards. 3. At checkout I asked if we could have an extra hour of parking in order to get something to eat and was told 11:00, no extending and they will tow. That seemed frivolous seeing as the next guests cannot check in until 4pm. I’d have been happy to pay another $20 fee for the extension. Instead we went to a public lot and gave them the $20.

Location was close to everything (Clifton Hills), restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the falls. Staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly and treated us very well during our 6 day stay here. housekeeping was great, pool area and hot tub was comfortable and clean, and the hotel was quiet. baskin robins attached to the hotel was a bonus as that is my grandsons favourite so he was overjoyed. The beds were awesome and we all slept great. The overall review of the hotel I’m giving a 10. We will be back in June for another 6 day stay: thank you Howard Johnson for your hospitality.

Nothing bad to say about the hotel.

The hotel is very nice and in a very good location. Close to everything. The hotel is very clean and quiet, and our room was nice and spacious. Overall, the staff was friendly.

We had asked in advance for an early check-in, which the hotel could not guarantee, but we were told that if the room was ready when we arrived, we could check in early. When we arrived early, the receptionist was very dismissive, was not interested in what we had to say, and did not check to find out if our room was ready. She told us to leave and come back later. When we came back later, she was a bit more helpful and let us into our room earlier.

Great central location near the Falls, restaurants and attractions. On-site pool and other facilities are convenient. The room was clean and well presented as always - have stayed here several times.

The hotel itself is great, but the guests in the room next to us were very loud and woke my entire family up multiple times during the last night of our stay even after the front desk was contacted and spoke to them. It wasn’t pleasant having to listen to them shouting after 1AM or their “bedtime activities”, especially with our child present.

We loved the room and location for the price we received, so much so that we extended for an extra night. It was affordable. Bonus for being in walking distance to Clifton Hill. We will most likely book here again next time we are in Niagara Falls. The room was also clean and overall quiet for a busy weekend.

We booked a room with a hottub and fireplace, by the time we go back to our room on Friday Night, we discovered the tub and fireplace was not working. We figured it was too late to request to get it fixed, so we waited and requested the next day. Both were fixed within 10 minutes of the request, which was really fast, but would have been nice to have it working on the first day. The wifi also was not stable for half a day on Sunday, which wasn't a huge deal at the time, however during the day I was working remotely from the room, so it caused some interruptions. This would have been unacceptable during my regular working hours.

My cousin and I needed 2 beds in a basic hotel room (with fridge, microwave and AC) for a 3-day stay in Niagara Falls for some meetings and some sightseeing. We chose the Howard Johnson because it had these amenities. The location was good and our room was quiet. There's a gym and a swimming pool - they looked great, although we didn't use them. I would stay here again, as the Howard Johnson is very good value for the money.

Our room didn't have windows that open. The air conditioning was reasonably efficient but noisy, of course. If you like eating healthy fresh food, especially salads, you'll have to do a bit of work to find it nearby. We discovered a Freshii on the last day.

I liked the location. It was close to everything. Also, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We confused our checkout date and got up late. The front desk called us to remind us it was time to checkout. We were almost 1 hour behind schedule and they did not charge us a late checkout fee.

The laundry facilities. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer for the whole hotel. When a sock fell on the side of the machine, I had to get a staff member to retrieve it. Also, there were not enough handicapped parking spaces near the door.

Little kids in the whirlpool, there was not enough room for me to go in there cuz there was your many young kids and then one time I had to get out because kids were coming in and there's signs up stating they're not allowed in there under the age of 16. But apparently nobody follows the rules. I pay good money to come there. I expect it to use the Whirlpool and not have little kids in there.

When booking, I asked for a walk-in shower. When we arrived and I inquired about my request, I was told at the desk that there was no such room. I explained that on our recent visit, I had also requested a walk-in shower and never received it, but at that time we only stayed one night, so I never pursued it. I told the girl waiting on us, that we would not be back again because of the special request not being fulfilled. She excused herself and when she returned, said that there was one room available for disabled, and it wasn't booked, so we could have that room. We were happy about that, but wonder why it was only offered to us after I had expressed my intention to not return to this Hotel. We are both in our seventies (people at this age do still travel) and find it very hard to climb into a tub in order to shower. We have stayed at other Hotel chains that offer amenities of both -walk-ins/tubs etc. I feel that when booking and placing a special request, that if it is not available, please let that person know, and if it means that your hotel can't fulfill the request, maybe the hotel should look at their options and have to chance losing a booking because of this. The room was clean, staff friendly and location okay. But the idea of not being sure that we will get what we requested, until we get to the hotel to check in (and by this time you have our credit card information on file) - not good service in my opinion.
