Clean and breakfast

The receptionist man was really not polite; first contact: I asked for an umbrella due to the bad weather and the only thing he said (really badly), after putting it on the desk was: “if you don’t take it back I charge you the price”; on the last day I asked as usual (I book all the time by booking.com) the total bill of my stay (I travel every weekend for work and I need it for the factory i work for) and his answer was, without being polite with an ironic smile: “get it on booking.com”… Conclusion: don’t get how people like these work in the “hotellerie”… you loose clients if you behave in this way and it’s a pity for your structure. Goodbye

The room was spacious and very comfortable, bright colours, comfortable beds, places to seat, good and hot shower, friendly staff, breakfast selection was just Ok

We didn’t like the parking option provided. 25 CHF a day seems to be to ridiculous provided that we have already pay to stay at the hotel. Parking at the parkhaus doesn’t really seem to make sense. If we have known about the price of parking we might choose a hotel elsewhere.

A new hotel in a modern business park outside Luzern. My room was exceptionally quiet for a modern hotel, with no ambient noise from electrics or minibars. An excellent Asian-themed restaurant in the adjacent building. Centre of Luzern is less than 10 minutes by train, which stops locally every 15 minutes, and is free of charge for hotel guests. Parking in a nearby multi-storey.

The only drawback is that the hotel is not actually in Luzern so, arriving late and feeling tired, I couldn't be bothered to catch the train into the city. However, I had a pleasant trip in to the city on the following morning.

Location: This modern hotel is a short, easy walk from Mattenhof station, which is just a few minutes train ride from Luzern. Trains are super regular. It’s also just a few stops to Alpenstad where the mountain train for Mt. Pliatus depart from. The area around the hotel is a quiet mix of modern offices/small retailers/restaurants & all looks really new. There’s also a McDonald’s & Subway nearby. Room: We had a fantastic room for a family of 4, with a sofa bed for the kids & a separate kitchenette/dining area with tea/coffee making, microwave & small fridge. Breakfast: The self service buffet was really comprehensive & we could find everything we wanted. Staff: We didn’t really have that much interaction, but everyone we spoke with was friendly & polite.

(1) Location is awesome! Train station is like 20 steps behind. Trips every few minutes. Reach town in 3-4 stops! (2) There is a Migros (supermarket) and Mirgolino? (near petrol kiosk), Mcdonalds and Subway next to the building. (3) Hotel is modest but has everything you need; hot shower, good beds, cleanliness and especially important for Singaporeans - aircon! (4) I personally enjoyed the breakfast - Yogurts, great coffee, bread, jam. honey, pankcakes (but see gripe below). (5) From Luzern, we made trips to Pilatus and Jungfraujoch easily - recommend stopping at tourist information as your first port of call when you arrive for great tips. I highly recommend this to fellow Singaporeans as we like things spick and span, need transport, supermarkets, fast-food nearby and we love value for money. Final tip: To save cost, buy food from Migros/Mirgrolino and heat it in the microwave oven on first floor. You can also refill water in the breakfast buffet area anytime.

A small gripe, pancake machine needs to be pressed constantly! A bit of pain at times but u can ask staff and they will assist. Nothing else much around to visit - but you can take train to town easily.

We love the location. Train station is about 2 mins walk from the hotel makes it very easy to get to town. There is a supermarket, McDonald’s and cafes nearby. Room rates are cheap for swiss standard and they gave us Luzern visitors card which give us free transportation around luzern throughout our stay.

No fridge in the room

So far, it's been our best stay in Europe, and I think we won't find a better hotel for the price. The rooms and the hotel itself are extremely clean, organized, and modern. It's just steps from the Kriens Mattenhoff station, which connects to the center of Lucerne in 4 minutes, and from there, you can connect to anywhere in Switzerland. We traveled to and from Zurich in the same afternoon. The breakfast is varied and delicious, the family room is super spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the linens are like a 5-star hotel. The staff is very friendly. The best value for money.

Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Express Lucerne" I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lucerne! From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and friendly, making check-in a breeze. The room was modern, clean, and spacious, with comfortable bedding and great amenities like a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spotless, and I loved the large shower with good water pressure. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the train station, and easy access to the lake and the city center. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast each morning, which had a great selection of items, including fresh pastries, eggs, and cereals. Overall, this hotel provided great value for money. The combination of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience made it a memorable experience. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Lucerne!

Surprisingly big room, nice bathroom, iron, hair dryer and a kettle available in the room. Very good breakfast, served until 10 though, even on Sundays. Only 2 stops away from the city center by train and bus, stops are only 3 min away.

1. The sofa that we had for the children was too small for 2 persons. Please consider an additional bed if guest children are older than 5 years. I requested an additional bed but was refused. 2. Would be good to add a curtain in the bathroom, otherwise after shower you need a gondola to acces the bathroom. 3. Very expensive parking (25 chf/night) and extremely high exchange rate. For the money thay we pay you could surely provide parking for free. And I paid extra 50 eur because of the exchange rate applied.
